20/08/2026: A very good restaurant recommended by a friend. The homemade fries are a big plus, and the service is excellent, especially from the young seasonal staff. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the meat wasn't cooked perfectly—some pieces were overcooked—and the quality of the ingredients was lacking, but I expected that from a brasserie on the marina.

17/08/2026: Our experience was quite disappointing overall. The pizza dough was far too dry and had more the texture of a wheat flatbread than a proper pizza dough. It was also heavily coated in a mediocre honey, the overpowering taste of which completely masked the flavors of the chicken and cheese. The ribeye steak was cooked to our liking, which was appreciated. However, the meat was unseasoned and came with no sauce, making it rather bland. The fries, meanwhile, were soggy and clearly lacked crispness. We won't be back.

17/08/2026: Not recommended! A rude host/owner! Very unpleasant experience We came in just to have a couple of drinks and were not planning to eat. As soon as the owner realised that we were only ordering drinks, his attitude became noticeably rude and unwelcoming. At the end, he started gesturing at me to push my chair back into place, as if I had done something wrong. My boyfriend also wanted to throw away his empty can but couldn’t find a bin. Instead of simply telling him where it was, the owner rudely told him to go and look for it, even though he could easily have just left the can on the table. We understand that restaurants are primarily for dining, but there is absolutely no reason to treat customers with such disrespect just because they only want to have a drink.

10/08/2026: Excellent place. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is very good and the prices are very reasonable considering the fresh ingredients. Book without hesitation.

30/08/2026: The staff are arrogant, and €10 for a coffee and orange juice? Are we in the Tuileries Gardens or something? The place is pretty, but honestly, it's really not worth the price; it's a complete rip-off!

26/08/2026: Great restaurant! The tagliolinis à l'encre de seiche were excellent. The service was friendly, and I had a great time. I highly recommend it!

18/08/2026: Wow, what a wonderful lunch we had in early August 2026 at this restaurant that had been recommended to us! Excellent Italian-inspired cuisine, presented with care. Located a little at the end of the Quai Valin, we might not have stopped at this restaurant if it hadn't been recommended to us, because, as Sarah told us, there are plenty of options in La Rochelle. We would have truly missed out, and we will definitely return at the first opportunity. Surely one of the best restaurants in town. Just a small note: don't take the table on the terrace that's straddling a metal plate on the sidewalk; your plate will definitely jiggle every time a waiter passes by. A minor detail that didn't spoil our enjoyment!

07/06/2026: Much better than the bar next door, which refused us entry to our holy adventure (a pub crawl) that started at 10 a.m., we were served very quickly. I thank the staff at this bar and I recommend it.

13/01/2026: A bistro-style restaurant. We went without a reservation for a simple lunch, but after the midday service. A very good value for money restaurant. We started with a tartine of apple compote, gratinéed goat cheese, and a green salad. The fish was perfectly cooked in a sauce with several side options, including fresh pasta or dauphinoise potatoes. For dessert, we had homemade panna cotta with strawberry or chocolate coulis and rice pudding. (Charcuterie and meat were also available). The Merlot was perfectly respectable, but there was a selection of other wines if you wanted to treat yourself. The service was always friendly and cheerful, even though they were very busy. This restaurant has two rooms, and it was full on a Tuesday, so that says it all! 😁 The room was decorated with a theme. The coffee was rather average, but the 5-star rating is well-deserved because the value for money is excellent. The restrooms were spotless, even at the end of service. Thank you to the entire team.

13/07/2026: A great little snack bar in La Pallice. La Petite Bouffe lives up to its name: simple, good, and generous portions. Friendly service, reasonable prices. No complaints, I'll definitely be back.
