03/09/2026: I've known this place for a very long time but I'm only reviewing it now, having not thought to do so before. I'm surprised by the ratings I've seen in other reviews; it seems incomprehensible to me! If you live in the Saint-Roch train station area, don't hesitate to stop by for takeout orders, especially the Banh Mi (sandwiches), spring rolls, and nems for a light snack. It's a welcome change from the usual fast food, tacos, and kebabs! Kudos to them for their longevity!

27/08/2026: The bánh mì and spring rolls are incredible, on par with or even better than what you find in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. The portions are incredibly generous, the welcome is fantastic, and the service is impeccable. Go for it without hesitation: it's the best Vietnamese restaurant in Montpellier, along with their location on Cours Gambetta.

19/08/2026: If you want to eat for next to nothing, this is the place to go. As for quality, don't expect too much. The bread is a French baguette, not some Asian or Chinese bread or anything like that, with an omelet and Bercecue sauce. It makes a sandwich. So it's not complicated to make.

09/08/2026: Restaurant with good food, but the service leaves something to be desired.

07/08/2026: Today, there were three of us at table number 5 (inside), but the table was actually number 6. The waitress told us it was a mistake—or rather, a deception. We were served at 1:19 PM and left at 2:00 PM. Despite the waitress being pleasant and not reacting at all to our comments about the food—the meat was burnt, and the dishes were sickeningly bland, except for the merguez sausages, which were okay, but nothing special—we have to be realistic and say that this restaurant, Chalet les Pins in Le Raincy, doesn't qualify for value for money. It's very expensive. A few examples: dirty glasses, dirty cutlery, and rosé wine served warm. The tasteless meal left us with a heavy feeling, enough to make us vomit. The waitress, whom I won't name, clearly saw and took away the still-full plates. Aside from the fries, which were good, everything was so bad and sickening, and the coffee was very strong and undrinkable. The Chalet des Pins restaurant in Le Raincy is to be avoided at all costs. It's a complete sham and definitely not recommended, both for the taste, which is nonexistent, and for the price, which is extremely high for what it is. A real and huge disappointment. We were brought the bill without any compensation or apology. As for the unpleasantness, the food was inedible. Tuesday, July 28, 2026 PS: Further details, and in addition to everything mentioned above, which is accurate word for word, I went to the reception desk to see a manager, and there was no one there. Except the cook came over to me and I told him it was inedible, and to prove our good faith, we mentioned that the fries and merguez sausages were edible. I have photos of the dishes and you can ask the waitress whose first name starts with a K.

04/09/2026: We didn't like it at all. As a fan of Chinatown restaurants, you'll see that here, the taste is different… It's either too sweet, too salty, too saucy, or too expensive. In short, we went three years ago and didn't like it, but when we saw the new menu, we decided to give it another try… We're now certain we won't be back! There are so many other, better restaurants in the area!

08/09/2026: I absolutely love coming here for my bubble tea during my break at work; it's a ritual, and it's a pleasure to discover this little tea room. The staff are very welcoming, pleasant, and warm, with a special mention for Marie, who is so cheerful and always serves you with a smile. Adorable!

07/09/2026: Anyone wanting to experience the pleasure of all-you-can-eat Chinese dumplings for the first time will be delighted to have lunch or dinner here. Those looking for the ultimate in dumplings, noodle soup, and other northern Chinese delicacies will likely be disappointed. The flavors, textures, and sensations evoke memories of trips to China, but don't quite deliver an exceptional culinary experience. Ultimately, I enjoyed my dinner more because I was able to fill my stomach with noodles and ice-cold Chinese beer.

02/09/2026: Freshly prepared ravioli made right before your eyes—a real treat! My favorites are the lamb ones, but I'm also torn between the pork and chive ones. It's always a tough choice because I want to try them all! You can also choose between boiled or pan-fried ♥️ And of course, you can eat in or take them away.

13/08/2026: I make a point of going there every time I'm on holiday in the area; it's always just as good. However, the portion sizes have become incredibly stingy...and they refuse credit card payments, but they're very good at directing you to the nearest ATM, no kidding...

20/08/2026: A truly authentic Asian restaurant run by people who love their craft and their cuisine. Everything is well-prepared and seasoned, at unbeatable prices. The chicken stir-fried noodles are excellent...and under €10! The kids loved them. The banana fritter with vanilla ice cream and honey is so delicious that the owner prepares the first spoonful for you to make sure you properly mix all the flavors, which blend together perfectly. A must-try for those who love authentic Asian food.
