24/02/2026: The food was very good and the staff were really friendly; we felt very welcome. The atmosphere is unique with its manga and K-pop decor, and they play some really cool music. One small drawback is that the chairs are quite worn; one was even broken, which is a shame because it detracts a bit from the comfort. But overall, it's a very good place and I recommend it.

02/08/2026: As a Chinese customer, I felt unwelcome. Unfortunately, that's the impression I was left with from the experience. I stopped in Bellegarde to catch a connecting train and wanted to eat at a Chinese restaurant. Upon entering, I spoke Chinese to the owner, but she pretended not to understand. Yet, Chinese music was playing in the restaurant, and she insisted on speaking to me only in French, with a strong Chinese accent. My train was leaving an hour later. I asked her if I had enough time to eat. She replied that she would have to ask the chef first, that they were very busy and weren't sure they could prepare a dish, suggesting I get takeout instead. However, there was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant. I explained that I could eat quickly and, if I ran out of time, take the food to go. Despite this, she seemed very reluctant. Without a word, without even looking at me, she simply gestured towards a table. Faced with this attitude, I didn't feel welcome and ultimately decided to leave the restaurant without eating.

24/07/2026: A truly beautiful establishment, with welcoming, friendly, and warm staff. As friends with a Vietnamese couple who own a restaurant in Aubagne, I'm usually very critical when comparing different restaurants, as my friends are exceptional cooks. But the cuisine at Le Jardin de Jade rivals theirs; I'd place it on the same level. My wife had Thai salad, I had Chinese salad, followed by beef satay on a hot plate and sweet and sour pork—yum, what a treat! Thank you, gentlemen; we'll be back on our next visit, you can be sure of that.

25/05/2026: We came as a couple on Saturday, May 16, 2026, but we were completely uncomfortable with the atmosphere. Several people seemed to be under the influence of substances (agitation, strange behavior, teeth grinding, etc.). People kept to themselves in small, closed groups, with no real sense of community. The only times we were approached were to be offered substances, which we obviously refused. A very disturbing experience that completely ruined our evening.

18/06/2026: A great place in Saint-Maur; the couple who run it are lovely. The prices are very reasonable, and whether you order takeout or eat in, everything is done quickly.

08/05/2026: I'm updating my previous review because I've been coming to La Table du Lamen for years and have always loved it. It used to be a real gem for me: I especially adored the pork rib soup with thick noodles. The homemade pasta was delicious, and the flavors felt authentic, generous, and comforting. I also appreciated the restaurant's friendly atmosphere, the efficient service, the wide selection of dishes, and the fact that they once allowed me to bring my dog ​​in, which I greatly valued. It's precisely because I loved this restaurant so much that my last visit was such a disappointment. I came with friends to whom I had enthusiastically recommended it, but this time the experience didn't live up to my memories at all. We felt that the portions weren't as generous as they used to be. The chicken noodle soup was rather bland, with fatty bits that my friend didn't like. The spare rib soup, which used to be my favorite dish, seemed much less flavorful than before: less aromatic, less substantial, and overall less comforting. We also ordered a chicken and vegetable stew for €16. For the price, we found it expensive for what it was: little meat, a weak chicken flavor, a lot of fat, lots of celery, cilantro, and vegetables, but a disappointing overall balance. The most regrettable point was that one of my friends felt unwell after the spare rib soup and ended up vomiting. I can't say for sure what caused it, but it obviously significantly impacted our experience. I'm genuinely sad to write this, as I've had some truly excellent experiences here in the past. I used to recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it in the same way. I hope it was just an off day or a bad time of year, but we left very disappointed after this visit. I sincerely hope it was just an off day, because I used to love this place. But unfortunately, on this particular visit, the value for money and the flavors were no longer up to the standard I had experienced before.

18/07/2026: Efficient and fast service, delicious noodles, and generous portions. They adjust the chili level as needed (much appreciated, haha). The noodles are soft and not chewy, which is really great. Various vegetarian options are available and all are approved! Thank you for this meal!

08/07/2026: The noodles were of very good quality, fresh, and prepared in front of the customer. I've been back several times, but my only complaint is that the staff had some heated arguments (even shouting) during service.

10/07/2026: After February, in June, I took some friends because we were too lazy to cook. I made a reservation, so there was no wait, and as usual, we had a great time. For the price, and with unlimited options, the food was excellent, well-prepared, including fish, meat, Asian dishes, and wok dishes. For that price, I haven't found better. I highly recommend this restaurant.

18/07/2026: My first and wonderful experience was this Friday, July 17th, a completely random find. This little restaurant is like a culinary journey. The atmosphere and service were top-notch and refreshingly unpretentious. The food and its flavors transported us, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Have a lovely day.
