29/04/2026: We went there for lunch as a couple on a Wednesday. The atmosphere was great, the setting pleasant with soothing decor. The service was mainly provided by trainees. They did their best and were very pleasant. For our meal, we opted for the lunchtime set menu. We had gravlax salmon as a starter and flank steak with fries as a main course. The dishes were delicious, well-seasoned, and full of flavor! However, the dessert left much to be desired… a tiramisu without biscuits. And a chocolate pistachio fondant that was dry with a very artificial pistachio "coulis." Avoid this place for dessert. At the end of service, the manager was unpleasant. He didn't ask how the meal went and had a haughty air about him.

24/03/2026: A wonderful discovery, this restaurant nestled in the heart of the Mercure Hotel in Niort. A very colorful and delicious lunch yesterday with friends. A great place less than 10 minutes from Place de la Brèche. Large private parking lot at the hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.

29/05/2026: To begin with, the staff is very unwelcoming, and the owner even less so… The pizzas are wood-fired, which is a very good point, but sometimes they're a bit overcooked, even burnt. There's a decent selection, but unfortunately, the flavor isn't very pronounced, and the crust is incredibly thin. The price is frankly excessive for what it is. Inside the restaurant, it's extremely hot; there's air conditioning, but it's turned off… The waitresses seem to be bothering them, especially when you ask questions, which is a real shame… The dining room is actually quite nice. To be honest, Domino's Pizza is better, sorry…

12/05/2026: A pretty good experience. I hadn't been for a long time (a few years) and I was quite satisfied. The restaurant was very quiet (on a Tuesday evening during the May bank holidays), and while the menu was a bit smaller than some competitors, it was sufficient for a good meal. The wok dish was my favorite, and the chef gave excellent advice. I'll be back.

11/04/2026: Normal bakery, good products but high prices, attention paid to hygiene. A friend and I ate a burger and found a hair in it, just like in the muffin.

28/03/2026: This place leaves much to be desired when you eat in. Not because of the staff, who are very friendly, no complaints there, but because of the place itself, it's appalling... A wall socket sticking out of the wall, held on by tape that's no longer sticking, the socket literally falling off the wall (see photo), cobwebs everywhere, dust on the chandeliers where you can even see fingerprints, uncleaned tables, and food splattered all over the floor. Three or four people were there and no one cleaned up... even though there wasn't a single customer. The toilet door won't close because the lock has been completely smashed, so you could find yourself face to face with another customer at any moment, watching you do your introspection. And apparently, this isn't a recent problem, judging by other reviews. The light keeps switching on and off... This establishment is sorely lacking in maintenance, and as for the exposed electrical outlet on the wall, I'm going to report it. This is far too serious because if a child were to put their fingers in it, it would unfortunately be an instant electrocution. The food is good, not exceptional, but decent enough. The only positive point is the friendliness of the staff.

03/06/2026: We spent two nights at this hotel, including breakfast and dinner. The room was very nice, the welcome was very friendly, and the breakfasts were excellent value for money. The dinner at €21.90 was superb. We absolutely don't understand some of the extremely negative and harsh reviews, which bear no resemblance to reality. We recommend this hotel.

18/04/2026: Everything was good. The room was clean, staff is friendly. The hotel has good location for late diner(Panda wok) and for great breakfast in nearest bakery.

04/05/2026: Pizza delivery took far too long; I waited an hour for my delivery. No pizza was even cut into slices.

03/05/2026: We had a reservation for 12 pm. The order was taken rather late. First the drinks, then the food (even though we had already made our choices). We explained that we were in a hurry due to the ceremony. Despite this, the starter arrived 45 minutes later, followed by the main course (with salmon that made our mouths itch). The service was slow. I was disappointed by this rushed lunch, which should have been a more leisurely experience. I couldn't have dessert because of the tight schedule. I left at 2 pm. After the frustration of my table and the other customers, they explained it as a staff shortage. We would have appreciated being informed earlier so we could have decided whether to keep our reservation or not.

04/05/2026: Since we're confident in the quality of Marie Blachère products, we made a detour on our way back from vacation to have lunch there on a Monday. My husband ordered the ham and Emmental cheese, and I had a raclette burger. The welcome was icy from the start. Admittedly, it was 1:50 pm, but as far as I know, the store wasn't 10 minutes from closing time! We had the unpleasant feeling of bothering the two young women who served us. They seemed more focused on their weekly schedule than on customer satisfaction. They asked if I wanted my burger hot. Yes, please... My burger turned out to be hot for the first two bites, and the rest was completely cold! In short, we won't be making the trip to Niort to visit Marie Blachère again. Frankly, very disappointing.

03/05/2026: Decent food with a diverse menu. Portions are a bit on the small size and lack vegetables. The spring roll was quite nice and the soups were good. Service is a bit scattered though the server is very nice.

25/01/2025: Saturday 25, around 7 p.m., it was not possible to create your cake à la carte due to a lack of staff, a real shame and it's definitely not our problem. Unfortunately for us, the usual crispness of the pancake was not there and the filling was a little light. Dessert will be taken elsewhere!
