19/08/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS... AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Very poor service. On May 24th, we invited 70 people to celebrate our 70th and 75th birthdays. The setting is splendid, but unfortunately, the restaurant owner did not live up to his promises. We opted for the BBC menu at €42, a giant barbecue, and a spot behind the restaurant. The starter buffet was insufficient; several guests were not served. The giant barbecue was unfortunately cooked all at once, and the pork ribs were missing. The cheese selection was minimal, not enough for everyone. The dessert was not planned for 70 people, and there wasn't enough of it! The rosé was served chilled but not kept on the table in ice buckets. The bill for adults was as quoted, but for children, the amount quoted verbally was 30% higher. No compensation was offered. We sent two emails to Mr. Leguy requesting an explanation, which went unanswered. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

17/08/2026: An exceptional view overlooking the pond, impeccable and warm service, simple but delicious cuisine – we particularly enjoyed the 500g XXL ribeye steak and the octopus. We'll be back soon!

13/07/2026: The welcome, service, and cuisine were of very high quality. The team was friendly, attentive, and highly professional. The two youngest members were particularly noteworthy for their excellent work. The team leader kindly offered us a table on the terrace, knowing he was expecting a group of 40 people. We enjoyed having lunch in a quiet, shaded setting. The meal was generous and refined; everything was excellent, and the meat was perfectly cooked: well done! Excellent value for money. We highly recommend this establishment.

09/07/2026: Honestly, the staff were very welcoming, pleasant, and understanding of my wife's food allergies. We ate extremely well and would definitely go back. I highly recommend it.

02/06/2026: Very quiet hotel, excellent service, gourmet restaurant!

01/06/2026: The atmosphere was straight out of an Agatha Christie film; we spent our entire stay wondering about the identity of the killer of Belle Isle-sur-Risle. We particularly enjoyed the pianist, the mirrors, and the very chic period decor. The hotel is filled with the scents of Normandy. The room was spacious, with a lovely bathroom and an exceptionally comfortable bed. We loved the outdoor pool and the spa. The hotel's surroundings are very pleasant, with a large garden and a particularly welcoming town with plenty of small shops. When will they film the mystery of Belle Isle-sur-Risle?!

16/07/2026: Before, there were no problems, but now it's over for us. A team that thinks it's above and below the customers, especially young ones. They don't respect customer requests, especially if you have food allergies. We have to come in person and they treat us like idiots until we point out the problem. The previous team knew how to take care of the customer and, above all, to be mindful of their allergies.

21/07/2026: A restaurant for passing through. No reservation required for a Sunday lunch in July. Wide selection of diverse dishes at average prices. I recommend it for once without a reservation; the staff is small. I imagine it's a family business.

20/07/2026: We arrived within the first 50 minutes to get three courses; the service was very slow despite the small number of customers. I was very surprised that our aperitif was served in a birthday cup. Otherwise, we ate very well.

19/08/2026: I doubted an app could accurately choose a restaurant. This app calculates calories by scanning a photo of my plate. The burger was high in protein and met my calorie needs. The fries were good and the portion was a normal size. The interface is simple.

29/05/2026: So I'm giving it 5 stars for everything: the food, the service, the atmosphere, the very nice setting. The outdoor courtyard is fantastic, and with this heat, it's so nice to be able to eat outside, even on weekend evenings. You can get charcuterie boards, salads, homemade fries, and to finish, a delicious chocolate fondant. Everything is homemade! It's top-notch!

09/08/2026: While passing through, we had two buckwheat crepes. They were generously filled with quality ingredients. The ice cream sundae was also very enjoyable, especially the homemade whipped cream. The service was pleasant. I highly recommend it; it's not a tourist trap.

09/08/2026: Terrible experience. We dined at this restaurant today. While the galette was quite good, the same cannot be said for the attitude of the management and one of the waiters. We waited over 45 minutes for our dessert. A woman, whom we understood to be the "owner," came out of the kitchen and, when we pointed out the long wait, flew into a rage at us. Faced with her lack of professionalism, we decided to leave the restaurant after paying for our food. We then experienced a delightful moment when the bill arrived. In addition to her blatant lack of professionalism, the "owner" clearly didn't know how to use her till. She had to call a waiter to print our receipt. This waiter, who was only 18 years old, felt entitled to lecture us. A conscientious professional would have asked her waiter to stay in his place, and she agreed. It's clearly time for the season—or rather, the career—to end. It's a shame the Department for Public Safety doesn't monitor the reception conditions; there's a lot to be said about it...
