03/08/2026: The server wasn't very attentive. My request for a burger remains unanswered. The meat was of decent quality. There was a bit of a wait depending on the time of day, which is normal for well-cooked meat. As for the atmosphere, a little music wouldn't hurt.

07/09/2026: As regular customers of this restaurant for the past two years, drawn to its cozy decor, we have been very disappointed on several occasions. The menus are no longer of the same quality, and the seating arrangements imposed by the waiters have been a major issue. We had reserved a table for two in a non-smoking area, but we had no choice but to dine on the patio surrounded by several smokers. I'm not criticizing the smokers themselves, but rather the impossibility of protecting oneself from the elements. Not only are these internal policies illegal, but after two bouts with cancer, I believe I have the right to a non-smoking area, as required by law. Extremely disappointed. Our evening was ruined. The price is exorbitant and doesn't reflect the quality of the service. Not to mention the ever-present and far too loud music. Avoid this place.

28/08/2026: The food was absolutely delectable, especially for a vegetarian like me, with a variety of flavorful options. The well-balanced wine complemented the meal perfectly, and the experience concluded with a soothing cup of linden tea and a complimentary drink. It was such a relief to find a place still open at 10 pm, especially after arriving at 9:30 pm from Madrid. The outdoor seating in a quaint and picturesque square added to the overall charm. The servers were highly accommodating and hospitable, making the evening all the more delightful and relaxing. Mise à jour 2026. L'expérience était excellente comme toujours. Merci.

26/08/2026: After a bad experience at a neighboring restaurant, we decided to try La Table du Safran. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, especially the two waitresses who asked if everything was alright 👍 The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the wait was quick, and we enjoyed truly excellent mussels marinière, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Thank you to the chef who delighted us! 😝 I also noted the excellent value for money! We will definitely be back! You can go there without hesitation 😎

25/08/2026: Had a lovely family meal here at a lunchtime. The staff were really friendly. We had a baby with us so they told us where we could park a pram and they had a high chair for us to use as well. This came in handy. Plenty of choice with the food and loads of drink choice too. The food was delicious. I myself had the chicken covered in the local cheese as a sauce and would highly recommend it. Very delicious. We all had the crème brûlée as a dessert and it did not disappoint.

05/09/2026: A very warm welcome and a pleasant setting. We enjoyed the terrace. The food was delicious. We had a scallop casserole as a starter, a salmon duo for the main course, and my husband had cod loin. Desserts were plentiful.

07/07/2026: Premises with a covered terrace. Toilets outside. Uncomfortable chairs. Friendly service. Disappointing food. Andouillette sausage served on a skewer with fries and half a slice of tomato. Ribeye steak too thin and tasteless. €55 including a bottle of water for two. Expensive and disappointing.

12/09/2026: I came with my younger brother and sister (aged 16 and 14), knowing that I'm 30 and they are my legal guardians. We were told to leave by 10 pm because I'm not their legal guardian. I think that's a shame, considering we just wanted to relax and have a drink. I know how to manage my siblings; I would never have given them a single alcoholic drink. We won't be back!

The menu is worthy of the finest restaurants while remaining at a truly accessible price point, and the presentation of the dishes was exquisite. I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back.

09/09/2026: We went to Laon as a family this weekend to break up the drive and have a meal. We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to the cathedral and the medieval old town, planning to take a stroll after our meal. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for that because the service was so slow... incredibly slow. Our aperitif and starter were served quickly. But the main course took almost 45 minutes. Many other customers were getting impatient. Yet the dishes were "simple" and should have been quick. We ended up spending almost two hours at the table. We were very disappointed, and unlike the table next to us, they didn't offer any compensation. We'll go across the street next time.
