19/05/2026: We went to the restaurant for dinner. We had reserved for 12 o'clock, but the door was still closed... I contacted them again by phone and they had indeed forgotten to open the door 🤭 They were very friendly people, though. We had a main course and dessert. Our meat from the plat de boucher wasn't that warm anymore, though. They had asked if they could serve the food already, but we had only finished our aperitif and asked to wait a bit, so I think it was ready anyway. But it was tasty and fresh. The dessert portions were certainly more than enough. The hotel restaurant is located right near the parking lot where you can also visit the castle. And there is a cozy terrace across the street.

13/06/2026: We stayed at this establishment to celebrate my husband's birthday (budget of nearly €1,000 for the night and dinner). Beforehand, everything went very well: the reception team was particularly attentive and available to organize this surprise. Unfortunately, the stay revealed several major shortcomings in the professionalism of the on-site staff, which fell short of the standards expected for such a prestigious establishment. To top it all off, the post-stay management was disastrous. After I left a toiletry bag behind (for which I was responsible), the reception demanded my bank details by email to charge me for its return. When I expressed my surprise, I received a late-night email that completely ignored my disappointment and instead asked me to leave a review on the château's website – bizarre and inappropriate. Although the sales manager eventually rectified the situation the following day with apologies and assistance, the overall experience remains very disappointing for a Relais & Châteaux property. It's a shame that shortcomings in service and IT security marred such a promising start. In response to your comment: I would like to correct several statements. First, I did not make any "threat" of a negative review. It was the night receptionist who, in his inappropriate late-night message, explicitly asked me to leave a review. I did indeed tell him that I would. Regarding the "major shortcomings" during the stay (which was otherwise quite pleasant), I had chosen not to elaborate out of courtesy to the staff, but the content of your response compels me to do so: 1. For an establishment of this caliber, it is surprising that some employees do not speak English fluently. 2. When I paid in cash, the receptionist rudely asked if she should "give me my change." Although I had previously opted to leave her a tip, demanding change in this way instead of simply giving it back is unacceptable professional misconduct for a business of this standing. I regret that your response attempts to shift the blame rather than acknowledge these shortcomings.

28/05/2026: The restaurant was exceptional, but it's a shame that when it's 30 degrees Celsius there's no parasol equipped with a fan or misting system... which makes the meal less enjoyable.

06/09/2026: A superb day yesterday for our 50th wedding anniversary! 🥂🍾🎂 Everything was perfect: the meal, the cabaret show, and especially the manager and our waiter, Thomas. We highly recommend it.

06/09/2026: Excellent establishment! I was there as a guest and had a magical day. The staff is very welcoming, available, attentive to your needs, and very kind. The dishes served were delicious and generous. The singer who accompanied the meal has a beautiful voice and adapts to all styles of music effortlessly. As for the show, words fail me to describe their performance; they made us dream. I highly recommend this place without hesitation.

06/09/2026: Pleasant setting with a lovely walk around the lake. A place to have a drink, but I wouldn't go back. Family experience (16 people for a birthday) Disappointing food and service We had to serve the champagne and the dishes ourselves, and one of the cakes we ordered was a disaster in both taste and appearance.) Incidentally, three people weren't feeling well the next day.

06/09/2026: We arrived at 1 p.m. and were told there were no more tables available; three-quarters of them were empty. I wonder if they even need customers.

25/08/2026: This establishment is utterly lacking in humanity! On the eve of 2027, the manager is still making questionable, racially charged jokes to people of color?! Tacky jokes to a regular customer about his credit card, and then checking afterward to see if it really belonged to him at the time of payment?! UNBELIEVABLE and DEHUMANIZING.

12/08/2026: Unfortunately, we were turned away at the door even though there were still places available. We were four adults with five young children. We had the distinct impression that our group was refused entry because of the children, which we found very disappointing and unwelcoming to families. I can't comment on the quality of the food or the service, as we didn't have the opportunity to experience them. (A tribute.)

03/05/2026: I had an amazing experience at the Hôtel de l’Abbaye de Longpont. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the abbey and ideal for exploring the area. The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The rooms were very clean and well-equipped with everything you might need—towels, shampoo, a hairdryer—and the beds were especially comfortable. A special mention goes to the manager, a dynamic and kind young man who recently took over the hotel and is clearly passionate about the project. The hotel is being renovated gradually, with great taste and care to preserve the charm of a typical French hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here!
