20/01/2026: Thanks to a waitress who understood us and spoke a little Spanish, we were able to find out what the dishes were, since the menu wasn't in our language... and we're so close!

10/01/2026: We had lunch with the family on a Saturday, and it's worth noting that they had a weekend menu, which was much appreciated. The restaurant is located in the center of Carcassonne and has a very pleasant and welcoming decor that blends rustic and modern elements. The dishes on the menu were beautifully presented and prepared. We didn't find anything we didn't like. The service was excellent, although we had a little trouble understanding each other at first, but that didn't detract from the overall experience.

07/02/2026: ❤️❤️❤️ We visited Carcassonne and its castle for the second time and stopped at this restaurant for lunch. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was packed inside and out, so the food must have been good. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. We ordered vegetable soup, lamb chops with potatoes and vegetables, and a nice salad. 🥗 The food was beautifully prepared and quite tasty. 😋 I definitely recommend this place. 28/01/2026: We went there for a drink; my aunt and I ordered two hot chocolates. The service was slow and cold, both when taking our order and when bringing it to us. The hot chocolates were basic, just like homemade: milk and cocoa powder (confirmed by the waiter, or at least the gentleman who took our payment). At €6 a pop, it's a disgrace, a rip-off! In such a prestigious establishment, you expect something artisanal, something that lives up to the promise of the facade—like hot chocolate cooked with milk and cream, a substantial drink, in short. After we complained to the supposed waiter, he curtly offered us the miraculous recipe for such a disappointing drink, followed by a simple "OK," colder than the weather outside. Having worked in the hotel and restaurant industry myself, I believe I can say that employees have a duty to live up to the standards of their establishments. Leaving aside this disappointment, this sector requires self-discipline and a pleasant demeanor to encourage customers to return—in short, the foundation of sales. This was a disappointing experience, with little substance to it. After reading this, I won't be returning.

The system of being able to create your own menu according to your preferences is a fantastic concept, allowing for complete choice of the menu without any restrictions. The service was impeccable, the setting is beautiful, with a lovely terrace for sunny days.

15/02/2026: Tucked away in the old city of Carcassonne. A very delicious meal, albeit a bit small portions (though that might just be me). We had canelloni with foie gras, followed by a super tasty steak with pepper sauce. The desserts were also delicious. We had the friendly service choose our wine, and it was absolutely perfect.

31/12/2025: I was swayed by the reviews. The service is excellent, the atmosphere unique, but the food leaves much to be desired. The dishes, although well-presented, are of very low quality. The ingredients are not worth the price they charge. Not recommended at all.

30/12/2025: The place is outstanding. It's very picturesque. If you're looking for good food and to enjoy local products, you've come to the right place. The service is excellent; they are very friendly and fun. The risotto is superb, as is the foie gras, both excellent choices.

09/07/2025: We only visited the free area because the price was €19. I think it's very expensive compared to other major monuments in Spain. What we saw caught our attention: the castle with battlements, busy streets with tourists, and a lively atmosphere. You can easily visit it in a day, eating inside and taking home a souvenir.

We chose to sit at one of the many tables in the large dining room and ordered two grilled rib-eye steaks with green peppercorn sauce and potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious and generous. The staff was welcoming, smiling, competent, and helpful. The service was attentive and quick. The prices were high, but justified by the excellent quality of the meat. Our feelings are in one of the many dishes inside an amplio comedor and pedimos dos filetes de costilla a la parrilla con salsa de pimienta verde y patatas. All this is riquisimo and abundant. The personal is friendly, friendly, competent, friendly and helpful. The service should be attentive and rapid. The prices we have are caros, but just for the excellent quality of the meat.

03/01/2026: While passing through, we spotted a somewhat hidden door that intrigued us, and the menu really appealed to us. We bought some souvenirs and asked for a restaurant recommendation, and this was it. We were convinced it was a good choice. It was bitterly cold outside, and the warm welcome alone made us feel right at home. The food was excellent: oysters, onion soup, cassoulet... with generous portions! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we felt right at home. Thank you to the owner for this wonderful experience. We will definitely return if we're ever in the area again!
