15/05/2026: We were at Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, and since the restaurant at the castle didn't accept card payments, we went to this restaurant based on a recommendation. My girlfriend immediately tried her first tarte flambée and was very impressed. The roast pork with crackling, as well as the desserts crème brûlée and fondant au chocolat, were also très bien. We didn't speak any French beyond what Google Translate could provide, and she didn't speak any German, but with a bit of gesturing and a little English, it was a very pleasant restaurant visit. We highly recommend it, even if it looks closed from the outside—just walk in.

23/05/2026: Beautiful location, lovely covered terrace on a small square next to a church. Good selection of tasty beers and (organic) lemonades. We didn't eat, but the menu looked interesting and had plenty of options for vegetarians. The service was very friendly.

16/05/2026: We stopped at L'Acoustic on our way home and it was a wonderful discovery. The meal was truly excellent, everything is homemade and it shows. The ingredients in the flammekueche were of very high quality, and it's great to see a restaurant that's good for your health: organic. Special mention goes to the verrine for dessert, which was delicious, and the restaurant's atmosphere, which was very friendly. Go without hesitation!

17/05/2026: A wonderful time at Chez Youpel! We ordered two sauerkraut dishes, and they were truly excellent: very generous portions, with perfectly cooked, high-quality meat. Both the cabbage and the potatoes were superb; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. To accompany our meal, we tried two spring beers, which were also very good and paired perfectly with the sauerkraut. And to top it all off, the desserts were also excellent! Special mention goes to the waitress, who was absolutely lovely throughout the entire meal: welcoming, smiling, and very attentive. Her warm welcome made the meal even more enjoyable. A special touch was the decorations, brought all the way from Strasbourg for the traditional funfair next door; the atmosphere was fantastic. The service was warm and friendly. But today, for the first time, I experienced a disappointment: a whole lump of offal under a layer of sauce. Even a hardy diner like me can't stomach that. Sorry – but that's just unacceptable.
