12/08/2026: So glad we decided to eat out tonight! We truly enjoyed a peaceful evening thanks to your kindness. The owner and the servers were fantastic and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful evening with my son. The food was, of course, delicious and very refined (kudos to the chef!). My little one even got to try Spätzle! 🥰 The dining room is decorated with great taste; we had a truly excellent time! Thank you again, and we look forward to our next visit to Sélestat! 27/08/2026: We came for dinner one weekday evening in August. It was busy, but there were still a few tables available. The galettes and crêpes were delicious, with particularly elegant presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed them! The service was also very friendly. The only slight drawback was the rather slow service. We waited 1 hour and 55 minutes for three galettes and three crêpes. Despite this, I'm giving it top marks because the quality was truly exceptional.

01/09/2026: €2.16 for a tiny, not-very-good pain au chocolat... I'm very disappointed because I used to be a regular customer and loved this place, but now the value for money is nowhere near what I expected.

06/09/2026: We had a lovely evening at Au Pied de Bœuf. On a mild summer evening, we were able to sit outside. The terrace was quite busy – so reservations are definitely recommended – but the atmosphere was still pleasant and relaxed. For our starter, we had the escargots, which were perfectly seasoned with herb butter. This was followed by a Salade Niçoise, and for our main courses, the traditional Baeckeoffe and an Angus steak with Béarnaise sauce. The Angus steak, in particular, was wonderfully tender and cooked to perfection. The wine recommendation, a Pinot Gris from Alsace, was also a perfect match for the food. Our only minor criticism: Unfortunately, we weren't informed that the kitchen was closing soon. As a result, we couldn't order dessert, which we had been really looking forward to. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful evening and would gladly return.

13/08/2026: This restaurant deserves a much higher rating than 4.3. The sauerkraut was incredibly flavorful, the meat exceptional. The pork chop was fantastic, and the fat was amazing. The waitress was super friendly. Their Gewürztraminer is incredible. In short, go there!

19/08/2026: People come here for its delicious traditional cuisine and its peaceful terrace in the heart of Sélestat's historic center. A haven of tranquility where you're guaranteed a delicious homemade meal at reasonable prices. Special mention goes to the owner's veggie burger.

16/08/2026: Great atmosphere, the owner is very friendly, and so is his wife.

17/08/2026: We came as a family. The setting is nice. The welcome, however, was much less so. The waitress was very unpleasant, almost annoying. The owner wasn't any friendlier. Nevertheless, the meal was decent. The tarte flambée was very good. It's a shame the smiles weren't there.

11/08/2026: We had a very good time...the meal was wonderful, both the kidneys and the liver dumplings were excellent...I highly recommend this restaurant.
