They've managed to turn a magical place into something horrible.
The parasols are all stained and different colors.
The tables are rusty.
The lamp is broken.
The plants are half dead.
The food is very expensive and tasteless.
Yet, as people from Marseille, we used to love this place, which has truly become atrocious.
Avoid it at all costs!

13/07/2026: What a wonderful place! Especially during a heatwave, when you've just finished a tough hike and realize you forgot your picnic at home. The pasta was delicious and the lemonade refreshing. The establishment has no competition and is therefore not subject to price pressure, and the service is full of enthusiasm. A pleasantly cool breeze blew across the terrace. It's a truly rejuvenating experience. A fantastic day.

14/07/2026: The pizzas are very good, but I have to mention the appalling customer service caused by the unbearable young woman who takes orders and greets customers at the pizzeria. I live in Paris, and yet I've never seen anything like it: an unbearable tone, bordering on disrespectful to her cooks (who are lovely) but also to customers, both in person and on the phone (she sighs and grimaces when taking orders).
I understand the stress that busy periods can create, but she really should consider keeping her cool or risk losing customers.
It's a shame because otherwise, I recommend this place!
26/05/2026: This place is welcoming, the staff are very friendly and pleasant, and the food is absolutely delicious. The pizzas are incredibly soft, creamy, and melt in your mouth.

04/07/2026: Fantastic terrace, fantastic service, fantastic welcome (with a smile!), and fantastic food, all at reasonable prices… in short, I recommend it 200%! I stopped by on a Saturday at lunchtime and ordered the set barbecue menu. The plate was generous and the ingredients were high quality. The fries and mayonnaise were homemade; it had been ages since I'd had such good fries in a restaurant. Go for it without hesitation!

04/07/2026: It doesn't even deserve one star, we were very poorly received, one orange juice per person that must have been 2 cm high, paying €5.50 for the juice, many people complain about this place, the owner is unbearable.
21/06/2026: The service was wonderful and very pleasant. The most deplorable aspect was the management. The butter was expired (reported to the DGCCRF). We didn't even receive a gesture of goodwill from management. And they berated us because we dared to order chocolate ice cream for our little girl without going through our lovely waitress.

The prawns were frozen and boiled, the rice had no sanitation whatsoever, and the vegetables looked like they came straight from a can. Absolutely avoid this place; it's a disgrace, especially considering it's a restaurant.

30/07/2026: A wonderful evening at César's! The gizzard salad is exceptional, and the fresh sea bream is excellent as well. The local wines are also very good. Enjoy the view of the port and relax; I highly recommend it! The owner, Bruno, and his wife, Cyrielle, are very kind and welcoming!

18/07/2026: I ordered a three-cheese pizza with extra mushrooms three or four days ago and received a dry, cold pizza. I live nearby and we're regular customers! It's unacceptable to pay €19 for a pizza for one person and end up with nothing to eat. I called to complain, and communication with the delivery driver was difficult, even just to show him the address. In short, I no longer recommend this place. There's been a huge change since then, and I hope things improve for the better, like before!

23/05/2026: We were really looking forward to trying France's delicious baguettes in La Ciotat. It wasn't until the end of our visit, at the fourth bakery, that we finally found what we were looking for: crispy and delicious. We can also highly recommend the croissants and apple chaussures.
The owner was always very friendly and cheerful.
When I asked for a recommendation for a charcuterie, a discussion with another customer in the shop ensued. First, they consulted amongst themselves, and then, with great enthusiasm, they sent me on my way. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and the excellent recommendation.
