20/06/2026: The Hôtel de la Terrasse is beautifully situated along the Lot River. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from the manager, who was always attentive and helpful. The hotel has a swimming pool. The location is calm and peaceful. An excellent place that I highly recommend!

29/07/2026: Passing through St Flour... quick service, perfect set menu with country ham salad and croutons, aligot (a cheesy potato dish) and pulled pork cheek, blueberry clafoutis-style tart for dessert, all for 16 euros... friendly and efficient waitress... nice setting... good place and good value for money... well done!

27/07/2026: Disappointed, as always... A Happy Meal without a toy (thanks for the disappointed child, especially considering the price of a Happy Meal where you pay extra for the toy...) The quality and quantity are really lacking; the toppings on the McFlurries are extremely meager... And again, the price is very high for what it is... Plus, everything is extra, even the drinks in the kids' meals... It all adds up to a high bill for fast food...

26/07/2026: The service time was adequate, and the food was barely lukewarm, but let's move on. However, it's outrageous to charge an extra two euros on a drink for what was literally just a measly bit of syrupy tapioca pearls. I tried it once, and I won't be going back!

11/04/2026: A delightful hotel full of Cantal charm! The staff are friendly, helpful and impeccably polite. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The décor is gorgeous. Tbe breakfasts are wonderful. Brilliant situated within walking distance of the train station and minutes from the old town, this is the ideal hotel for a luxurious Aurillacois getaway.

28/07/2026: Passing through the area, we tried this restaurant. The set menu was €17, and we asked for a vegetarian option, which was accepted. I highly recommend it; the service and quality were excellent.

05/07/2026: The waiters are friendly, but the same can't be said for the women at reception. The room locks don't work; several of us have had this problem, but the response is always, "You must not have made any effort. Leave it open" (all day!!). The next day, after a 20-minute wait to pay, the response is, "You're lucky I'm in a good mood." If all you care about is your customers' money, perhaps you should consider becoming shepherdesses? The Larzac region isn't far away. P.S. If you want to read in bed, bring a headlamp. The lighting is minimal. And for the TV, don't forget the batteries for the remote, because it might be complicated... but it could be really nice!

11/08/2026: We were welcomed last night for a family dinner on the terrace overlooking the square, under the cherry trees, and we had a wonderful time. The service was excellent, with a very professional and friendly waitress. The menu was superb, featuring high-quality local products. We especially loved the Vietnamese udon noodles and the delicious shrimp broth! We will definitely return and recommend it!

29/12/2025: Hello, I'm finally taking the time to write, but please note that I was there at the end of August. I wanted to climb the Puy Mary, being a big fan of the Tour de France. On that sweltering day at the summit, I decided to ask for water at this restaurant, which was refused! I hope that if a tax inspector happens to see this, they'll read my comment because it's completely illegal, dangerous, and inhumane. Furthermore, the staff is appalling, odious, definitely avoid this place. While I was there, all I got was reprimands and yelling. They certainly take advantage of their tenants (the only positive thing about this restaurant) because I had the chance to talk to other customers who also found the service disgusting.

11/06/2026: We discovered a gem in Vitrac, a haven of tranquility, with unique and very charming accommodations. The owner is a remarkable and attentive person. We had to leave due to health reasons, but we promised ourselves we'd return to finish our trip through this magnificent region of Cantal. In short, I won't tell you everything; you'll have to discover this place for yourselves, which we highly recommend.

18/08/2026: We had a very pleasant stay at the Coin d'Aubrac hotel, restaurant, and spa. The welcome was friendly. The studio was spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds. The relaxation area was very pleasant, clean, and tastefully decorated. The restaurant and wine cellar were excellent. The meal was truly delicious and offered excellent value for money. Thank you for this wonderful stay. We will gladly return.

18/08/2026: Extremely disappointed! Where are the 4 stars? 125 euros a night, and what a night it was!!! The reception, both on the phone and in person, was extremely unpleasant. We were practically hung up on because there wasn't time to answer. When we arrived at the building, we thought we were in front of a nursing home. Our suspicions were confirmed upon entering! Hallway, decorative walls... everything was there! We had booked an apartment with a balcony, but in the end, we only had windows overlooking the city's garbage containers and the road. We were woken up with a bang at 8:30 am because people were loading metal equipment into a metal trailer, all while shouting. And yes, there's a utility room in addition to the garbage!! At 10:32 am, the doorbell rang, and we were told to leave—it was time to go!! The guy was waiting by the door, ready to pull out his vacuum cleaner. We finished packing our bags and were out in the hallway. A very, very bad experience and one thing is for sure, we who come to Chaudes-Aigues very often will not return to this establishment.
