16/10/2025: I've known La Source du Mont since the mid-1990s. It was always a great pleasure to spend time at this establishment. Madame Fournier ran the business with a masterful hand; nothing was left to chance, and everything was perfect. Among other things, she was very attentive to the food. Quality products were well prepared by a top-notch chef. The three chimneys and three cocottes awarded by Logis de France were well-deserved. The business was recently taken over; I went for dinner there in mid-October; it was a disaster. The welcome, the food, the service, and the customers—everything has fallen to the lowest level. I strongly advise against it...

29/12/2025: Hello, I'm finally taking the time to write, but please note that I was there at the end of August. I wanted to climb the Puy Mary, being a big fan of the Tour de France. On that sweltering day at the summit, I decided to ask for water at this restaurant, which was refused! I hope that if a tax inspector happens to see this, they'll read my comment because it's completely illegal, dangerous, and inhumane. Furthermore, the staff is appalling, odious, definitely avoid this place. While I was there, all I got was reprimands and yelling. They certainly take advantage of their tenants (the only positive thing about this restaurant) because I had the chance to talk to other customers who also found the service disgusting.

31/08/2026: Friendly welcome. Good, generous portions of local cuisine. Good value for money.

25/08/2026: We really enjoyed the burger with goat cheese, fries, and salad. There was certainly plenty of it. We sat outside on the small terrace on the (pedestrian) street. Friendly service and good prices.

06/09/2026: A very poor experience for a property advertised as 4 stars. I'm usually very reluctant to leave negative reviews, especially since I work in the hotel industry myself and know the realities of the business. But in this case, the number of problems is too significant not to mention. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was unpleasant and we received no information: no Wi-Fi code, no breakfast hours, no explanation whatsoever. As a receptionist myself, I find this particularly unacceptable. These are, after all, the basics of customer service. The apartment is old and clearly poorly maintained. For accommodation advertised for 8 people: • Insufficient dishes for 8 people; • Broken cupboards that no longer stay in their tracks; • Wobbly bunk beds unsuitable for adults; • Broken bed slat; • Broken radiator placed on the floor; • Unusable telephone, not plugged in and with no way to plug it in; • Hair on the duvet covers; • Blood on the comforters; • Not enough sheets for all the beds. And to top it all off, breakfast was only served from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, even though the accommodation had to be vacated by 10:30 AM. This organization is difficult to understand. Photos attached. I can understand that an establishment might have unforeseen issues or a few flaws. But here, the problems are too numerous and concern such basic elements as cleanliness, safety, amenities, and customer service. For a 4-star hotel, this level of service is frankly disappointing and falls far short of what is advertised.

23/09/2026: My wife and I had dinner here and had a lovely time. The servers were cheerful and the background music wasn't too loud, which was nice! The food was good and the meat was cooked perfectly. Dogs are welcome, which is great! We recommend it.

25/08/2026: Hello, we stayed at this hotel during our visit to the region for a wedding. We received a very warm welcome and the beds were very comfortable; we slept very well! Although the decor is clearly dated, the rooms are clean and the hotel is definitely well-maintained. We highly recommend it. Stephanie and Pascal.

09/06/2026: A quiet and pleasant place. Warm welcome. Very good food, truffade recommended. A very minor drawback: the rooms, the cheapest ones are a bit cramped, but perfectly clean.

25/08/2026: Hello, I saw you causing a lot of trouble and holding someone hostage in your bar; it was a very unpleasant situation and I couldn't enjoy my drink properly.

25/08/2026: I want to share a very shocking experience that occurred during the Aurillac Festival. A member of my group was allegedly detained against their will inside the venue for over an hour. The situation was extremely tense, and a taser was reportedly used in an intimidating manner. If these events are true, they are particularly serious and deeply affected those present.

13/09/2026: A lovely surprise. Discovered by chance. We received a very warm welcome despite our late arrival. Simple yet delicious and well-presented cuisine. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We will gladly return if we are ever in the area again 👍

09/09/2026: A fantastic find on our trip. Takeaway from the restaurant, where everything is homemade. Delicious. I had a salad with perfectly breaded chicken, real chunks of Cantal cheese, good lettuce, and tomatoes. The fries were incredibly fresh. The hamburger was delicious, with Salers beef and Cantal cheese. Very friendly and efficient service. All this at a very reasonable price. I'll definitely be back to try the restaurant.

14/07/2026: A great little spot in a beautiful setting. Simple restaurant, lovely welcome from the owner, quick service, and excellent value for money. The children were delighted to be able to watch the ducks and dragonflies while eating their meal. A great place to stop for a family lunch.

27/07/2026: There were two of us with two large dogs. Thank you for accepting them. We ate on the terrace, the welcome was very warm, the staff very friendly, and the portions were very generous. I highly recommend it.
