04/05/2026: Don't order the signature cocktails, you won't like them. If you're hoping to share an aperitif, don't order that either; in this case, it was zucchini fritters and migliaccioli—pointless, tasteless, we gave up trying to eat. The service was good. The atmosphere was pleasant too. €49 for two cocktails and two tapas (if you didn't pay the full price, the prices on the menu are incorrect).

03/04/2026: The place to be in Ajaccio. La Brasserie du Diamant is a true institution. Ideally located on Place du Diamant, it offers an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming. The food is excellent, the ingredients are high quality, and the service is always impeccable. From morning coffee to dinner, it's a lively spot where locals and visitors alike gather. 👉 A must-visit address, where you'll always be happy to return.

02/11/2025: The service was a disaster: rude, arrogant, and ignorant—at least they brought water for the dog (+1 star). Long wait times—not because of the food, but because of the service! The food was delicious. The ice cream for dessert (pistachio & coffee) was very bland—I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference with my eyes closed.

01/05/2026: I'm going to choose my words carefully... the veal stew prepared by Marie Odile (yes, she truly deserves that title) is divine!! Thank you for bringing this recipe to Earth; it's a slice of paradise offered to humanity. For a lover of good, hearty home cooking, nothing is more beautiful than seeing the pots arrive directly at the table. It means you help yourself, help yourself again, and again. For a big eater like me, there's no better gift! Especially when you're brought a pot of the best veal stew in Corsica, and certainly in the world, accompanied by a pot of linguine with sauce—the combination of the two is pure bliss! The menu should say "two pots of pure happiness." Seriously, if you love to eat, go and immerse yourself in Marie Odile's cooking; you'll be warmly welcomed at this family-run inn!! 22/04/2026: The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They served traditional Corsican cuisine. We tried the Corsican-style beef meatballs, and they were absolutely delicious! We hope to return to try other dishes! Highly recommended.

19/09/2025: Restaurant closed, number no longer in service, no information on the storefront. Impossible to judge the service or the food, but there was a lack of respect for the customer, unless the closure is permanent.

01/10/2025: A wonderful experience: a superb restaurant, a terrace with a magnificent view, and the added bonus of great music: in short, a place worth discovering. As for the food: excellent (I recommend the gourmet coffee). It's a shame we're leaving for the mainland today, otherwise we would have come back. But we'll be back next year.

Products tasted: The homemade lemon and strawberry sorbet had a very pronounced flavor, The coffee and red fruit tiramisu pastry (serves 8) was delicate, light, and very well made, The Swiss chard bastelles were generously filled and soft, The almond, white wine, anise, and orange canistrelli were very good. We return every time we stay. Thank you.

The creations are original, perfectly balanced, and presented with great care. You can taste the genuine attention to detail in the flavors. 06/04/2026: I regret not sharing the other reviews, including those from Italians; the owner is kind, and the place, aside from the Carrefour-esque lighting, is welcoming, historic, and well-located. The food isn't noteworthy; the wild boar stew is tough, the fries are good, the pizza... French: mozzarella is unremarkable, the olives are pitted from the supermarket (in an old olive press...), and the dessert is also disappointing. It's a shame, I would have liked to give a better rating; perhaps it was just a bad night.

04/01/2026: I don't recommend it. The food was good, but the waiter was awful! There were only two tables occupied, and this pushy waiter tried to charge us for desserts and coffees we hadn't ordered. He was aggressive until the chef arrived. What a shame for this restaurant!
