13/05/2026: Le Val de Gravel in Corseul is a very good village and family-run establishment. Located in the heart of a village steeped in history since the first century, the food is truly excellent, and the chef's touch is generous. You can also stay overnight in one of its five rooms, which are impeccably maintained. I have never received a poor welcome, even during the two years of COVID when businesses like this one faced difficulties. The welcome is always warm, polite, dynamic, and friendly. Whether dining in or taking away, the products are high quality and served with a smile. Thank you to our caterer. Joël.

They immediately prepared two tables for us and served us with care and kindness. The food was divine! 24/05/2026: A very rustic restaurant/bistro that has retained the spirit of its era! A treat for those passionate about beautiful paintings, small architectural details, and tableware. The menu is quite simple, but the dishes are very well prepared (we had sea bream and a steak). The place is very well ventilated when the heat becomes stifling. Views of the Rance River and its forest. A restaurant with a friendly atmosphere, thank you! Easy parking in the private lot! The young crowd from Rennes, second choice! 👍

The decor is tasteful, elegant, and welcoming, with high-quality bedding. You sleep very peacefully. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and you can tell the new owners are committed to offering a professional and modern service while preserving the charm of the place. The breakfast is generous, with excellent products, and the overall atmosphere of the inn makes you want to extend your stay. A wonderful place to stay in Moncontour, ideal for a weekend getaway or a longer break. We will definitely be back!

17/05/2026: We ordered three pizzas. One Margherita (14 euros) and two Marinata pizzas (17 euros each) without peppers, plus 15 euros extra for cooked ham and cured ham. I can't even tell you the size of the pizzas for the exorbitant sum of 63 euros; it's truly unacceptable. I called to complain, and they told me there's always a problem with our orders. Which is to be expected when you pay 47 euros one time, 53 euros another, and now 63 euros for the same thing—there's a problem, isn't there?

05/05/2026: First time for us, and a wonderful discovery. The pizza dough was delicious, thin, crispy, and generously topped. Having tried several pizzerias, this is one of the best I've ever been to. The crème brûlée for dessert was also a success. Nothing to complain about. See you soon.

26/04/2026: We came to the abbey this afternoon just for lunch. Well, it was a delightful surprise! Everything was excellent and beautifully presented. A delicious warm goat cheese crisp on a bed of greens, followed by a magnificent Breton fish stew, and to finish, an exquisite pavlova with strawberries and blueberries. The wine (Fitou 2021) was also outstanding, a little gem. The service was quick, efficient, and attentive. All for €71 for two, including coffee and aperitifs. In short, a wonderful time in a magnificent setting. Highly recommended. Reservations required.

02/04/2026: A lovely establishment with sufficient comfort. In the guesthouse, the meals are plentiful but of average quality. The packed lunches offered to hikers are disappointing (poor-quality sandwiches two days in a row...).

03/03/2026: This is my second time in the area, and I keep coming back to this lovely restaurant. The lunch menu is excellent. Good value for money. The starter buffet is well-stocked. Choice of three good-quality main courses. One drink included in the set menu (wine or non-alcoholic). A spacious dining room. Pleasant service.
