01/08/2024: In the middle of nowhere and it was the best fried chicken I've ever had! The chef has a true talent for flavour because also the vegetables were delicious. If I'm ever in the region again, I will detour just to eat here. Close to the Chateau de Hautefour. Worth the drive!

21/11/2024: 2 night stay with my wife on the way to Spain Graham was a fantastic host. The food was excellent and the wine recommended was perfect.I would highly recommend and will hopefully be back again soon.

28/10/2024: We arrived to a warm welcome from our hosts Graham, Damon and their adorable dog Malbec. A short drive from Bergerac airport brought us to the beautiful medieval village of Belves with its stunning views of the countryside. In the heart of the village, nestled amongst other hotels restaurants and shops is the fabulous Planches et Plonk. A very tasteful wine and cheese bar with delicious local produce and wines as recommended by our very knowledgeable hosts. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable with elegant decor. Breakfast was typically French with delicious and seasonal local produce. Thank you guys for a memorable stay, we will definitely be back some day. Would highly recommend.

02/09/2024: I had the opportunity to call on Lard du Gout comm caterer for my wedding in Dordogne and on another occasion for barbecues with friends. Bravo to the quality of all the products, excellent butchery! The owner of the butcher shop is also a very very nice professional who was able to advise me for my wedding and who made himself available for delivery. Thanks to the whole team! We recommend: go there with your eyes closed (and your mouth open!)

14/09/2024: Very good address. On the terrace among the trees, good idea. Perhaps one avenue for improvement, the exterior decoration could be improved with a more careful display of the trees and fountains of Jardiland. A children's area could be added. Careful and pleasant service

15/09/2024: Let us salute the performance of offering a menu certainly without frills, but very complete: soup, starter, main course, dessert (or cheese), and 25cl of wine, all included for €16 and in generous portions. Aperitifs are €3, or even just €2 for punch! The pricing effort deserves the total score of 5/5. Point of improvement: remember to ask for the meat to be cooked (my partner likes it blue and it was served medium rare, cooked by default, we didn't think to ask, surprised by the speed of the service).

18/09/2024: Wir hatten das Menü zur Mittagszeit und waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden. Dem Anschein nach gibt es bei den Vorspeisen und dem Hauptgericht (nach Auskunft der Kellnerin) immer auch ein Hauptgericht sowie eine Vorspeise, die vegetarisch sind. Diese beiden haben wir dann gewählt: Käse auf Rucola-Salat mit Honig überträufelt sowie eine Art Burger bestehend aus 2 Patties zwischen 2 Blätterteigböden. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aber doch recht langsam. Auch war das Brot des "Amuse Geule" vom Vortag; das Brot beim Gericht dann aber wieder frisch. Fazit: Empfehlung + Zeit mitbringen (Reservierung empfohlen)

12/09/2024: Leuke bistro waar je een snelle lunch kan eten. Menu voorstel voor en hoofdgerecht of hoofdgerecht en dessert voor €19,90 Goede maar 'zakelijke' bediening. Las er even geen plaats is moet je wachten op het terras...
