Le Manege
Besancon
17/09/2026: Excellent French cuisine, high-quality ingredients. We enjoyed it so much that we're going back again today. Very friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended restaurant!
02/09/2026: The kitchen doesn't live up to its ambitions and expectations. The service, while confident, isn't always guest-oriented.

La Cornemuse
Besancon
23/09/2026: I simply wanted to share my experience at this crêperie.
I enjoyed some delicious crêpes, prepared with care, and I was completely satisfied, both with the quality of the food and the warm welcome. 🥞😊
I think it's a shame that some particularly negative reviews might give an impression that doesn't reflect my personal experience. Everyone is, of course, free to share their feelings, but I believe it's important that positive feedback is also heard.
For my part, I didn't encounter any of the problems mentioned in some of the comments. I had a lovely time and I gladly recommend this crêperie to anyone who wants to form their own opinion.
Best of luck to the manager and her team, and above all, keep making delicious crêpes and other homemade treats! ❤️🥞
22/09/2026: I highly recommend this lovely place where we had a wonderful time. The crepes and galettes were excellent, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the staff were fantastic! Thank you, and see you soon!

Le Petit Polonais

26/09/2026: The chef came to explain the menu to us, advised us on the wines, and served us personally.
As for the meal, it was very good; everything was locally sourced, even the wines.
22/08/2026: Excellent cuisine featuring typical regional dishes (Comtois tart, Morteau sausage).
It was very good, we'll be back.

Betises et Volup The
Besancon
22/09/2026: Fair prices, very friendly waiters/waitresses, very, very good food, fairly quick service, really top-notch.
03/09/2026: I'm giving it one star because the food was good.
As for the rest: the interior is dirty and poorly maintained, the waitress knew absolutely nothing about the items on the menu and couldn't give you any information.
The worst part for me: The owner brought our food, then stood in front of me and waited. I asked her why, and she told me she had to take my payment right away (we hadn't even started eating yet).
So I took out my card, thinking she was going to tell me the amount and give me the card reader. Instead, she snatched the card from my hand before I could say anything and went inside to process the payment, using contactless instead! I didn't see the payment and wasn't told how much I was supposed to pay.
You won't be seeing me again.

Brasserie Granvelle
Besancon
19/10/2026: Really nice starters, a bit heavy main courses, but everything was tasty
Chaotic ordering and we had to ask 3 times before they brought the last 2 dishes, the rest of us had finished eating there
However, it was rectified with 2 free Armagnac
18/10/2026: A very warm welcome despite the crowds; they looked for a solution to satisfy a customer. A very nice menu blending regional and national specialties, and a wine list featuring the essential Arbois, for connoisseurs.
A must-visit in Besançon.

taverne de Maitre kanter
Besancon
09/06/2026: Disappointed with this 3-star hotel despite its good location.
07/06/2026: A typical Ibis hotel in a good, convenient location, allowing for a quick walk to Besançon's old town. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and quiet. The breakfast buffet is small but excellent, offering something for everyone. The service is friendly.

La Charette
Besancon
10/09/2026: I stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance, without a reservation. However, we received an extremely warm welcome from Marie, the hostess, with impeccable service and dishes that delighted our palates. We enjoyed a perfect egg with morels and asparagus, followed by a truly exceptional calf's head with gribiche sauce. I highly recommend this establishment; you won't be disappointed.
23/08/2026: Lacking a smile and not very pleasant.

The Green Man
Besancon
03/08/2026: I'm sorry to only give the food 2 out of 5, even though it's a very pleasant place and the service is attentive.
I ordered a rare flank steak, and it arrived completely white, not seared (it's unbelievable that supposedly professional chefs can't serve rare meat but seared), and tough. It tasted good, but if it had been cooked properly, I think it would have been a very good cut of meat.
But I'll try it again.
31/05/2026: This place doesn't serve food on match days, it's not a restaurant!!! Very disappointed, especially since their homemade burger looked so tempting 😡 but you didn't offer us any tapas, otherwise we would have stayed, sir
