26/10/2025: Disappointed with our visit. We came for the daily special, which was mussels and fries, as shown on the sign outside. The welcome was decent, but the service was complicated for the waiters. When we ordered (12:15 p.m.), the waiter informed us that they were out of mussels. Too bad, we'll order something else, it's not a big deal. What disappointed us is that it was the waiter's mistake, because everyone who arrived after us until 1 p.m. was able to get their mussels and fries. We even heard a waitress say to the customers at the table next to us, "There are no more mussels, but I'll find some for you." When it came time for the bill, I told the owner, who, apart from telling me it was weird, did nothing. No apology, no goodwill gesture.

02/02/2026: I discovered Guinness in Irish pubs near Parisian universities. They knew how to pour a proper Guinness. At the Galways, which is Galways in name only, this is the second and last time I'll ever set foot in. Every single bubble is poured vertically (unbelievable!), and to pay by card, I ordered a charcuterie board with the plastic separating the slices of cured ham. Unbelievable. I never waste my time leaving reviews, but I had no choice this time. Avoid this place if you want to drink Guinness and enjoy a decent charcuterie board. Go to 420 Franck Lainé instead.

26/12/2025: Twelve euros… very good, generous portions, quick. Where else can you find that? Friendly chef, waiter, and owner. We'll be back! Just passing through from the Ardèche region…

21/11/2025: Warm welcome, the waitresses were very nice. I had an excellent mountain pizza and the profiteroles for dessert were a real treat. I recommend it, give it a try 😉

26/01/2025: The staff was very friendly and gave me two amuse bouche as a freebie, and even when I said I wouldn't eat dessert, they gave it to me as a freebie :) I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably because the 4-5 employees who passed by without a single person kept asking me if the taste was good, if I was eating well, if I needed anything else, and if I needed anything, I could call them at any time! Plat was of course delicious 😊

25/01/2025: Impeccable service, nothing to say. But the prices are absurd: €21 for the cheapest entry, €10 for a bottle of Coke. It seems like it's meant to rip off tourists. Very disappointing.

31/01/2026: Stopped in for a light lunch, and had wonderful escargot and chèvre flan salad. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the service was wonderful and food was all delicious

13/01/2026: Upon arriving in Nîmes, we were looking for a restaurant serving good local cuisine. No fast food or junk food. And luckily, we found Le Cheval Blanc. The restaurant is ideally located opposite the arena, and its decor evokes the world of bullfighting, with its colors, artwork, and bullfighter costumes. The staff is professional and very welcoming. The dishes are generous and delicious. In short, a pleasant lunch in an artistic and warm atmosphere.

14/11/2025: Five-star service, a custom-made sandwich to accommodate dietary restrictions, and friendly, attentive staff. Both the sandwiches and pastries were excellent (especially the lemon cake!).

30/11/2025: This place is a disgrace! They make fun of the customers and their employees, especially the new ones. What is the world coming to?! They'll recognize themselves; they're the two oldest in the bakery. I'll never set foot in there again, nor will I give them my money, because they are truly haughty and disrespectful. Ugh! I confirm the other reviews that say the same thing. Where is the manager? Plus, their tarts are undercooked, especially the pastry. They don't taste very good... a real disgrace. And on top of that, these women are like radar guns, watching and peering everywhere. No need for security cameras, as if we were about to steal! The saleswoman serves you with her mouth full, and on top of that, she puts the chocolates on the shelves without gloves! That's completely unhygienic.

23/11/2025: This Sunday morning, I went to Villaret's for Sunday breakfast: croissants and brioche. It was 7:40 a.m. I walked through the shop; I was the only customer. The display wasn't yet set up. I was facing four saleswomen who didn't see fit to interrupt their conversation. Almost a minute passed before the youngest of them deigned to give me a half-hearted greeting. I asked for croissants and brioche. "With sugar or praline?" she asked. "Don't you have any large plain brioches?" I then inquired. The red-haired saleswoman then intervened, telling her colleague, "Wait for the large brioche, I have orders..." After two minutes, and after the saleswoman who was helping me found the right size bag for my two croissants, she asked her colleague again, I received a negative response regarding the purchase of the brioche, because there were orders... it was 7:45 a.m.! I've been a customer of this bakery for over fifty years, but this is the last straw. I left the croissants and went to Grasset in Les Halles. A well-stocked display, a smile, plain brioche. Villaret, you've definitely lost a customer.

01/06/2025: Excellent experience in this charming establishment. Very friendly and attentive staff. Very well located hotel and spacious, high-quality rooms. Special mention for the wood-fired rib of beef!

24/04/2025: The name of the hotel translates to ``temple accommodation'' in Japanese, but turning an old church into a hotel is a great and stylish idea. The interior of the hotel is like something out of the game Dragon Quest, and it's a completely different world! I was looking for a small medal inside the jar! The staff are kind, the place is very clean, there is a pool (I couldn't go in at this time of year, but the water was clean), the atmosphere of the restaurant at the back of the courtyard is otherworldly, the seasoning is wonderful, the location is great, and the value for money is great! ＼(^o^)／ I came here on business at the recommendation of a taxi driver, and it was a hotel I definitely wanted to return to, so I decided to stay for several nights.

15/11/2025: We tried to chat with the staff about eating there. After waiting five minutes and finally being able to initiate a conversation, we turned around after five or six greetings without any response, being ignored despite feeling certain we had been heard. We went a little further to have lunch.

08/09/2025: I am surprised by the comments about the kindness of the owner, we must have been having a bad day. We were looking for a restaurant on a Monday evening in Le Vigan, we had just arrived in the village. It was 7:26 p.m. when we saw the crêperie (door open) we saw a person inside. After the polite phrases we told the lady that we had not reserved and we would like to know if it was possible to eat for two people and there, she cut us off.... First time for us to receive such a moral lesson. The lady says you have to make a reservation because she doesn't open bags, she works with fresh produce, so you have to make a reservation 😨 Anyway, we're hungry, it's the only restaurant open, we're keeping our heads down, and she adds, "I'm still closed." She opens at 7:30 PM 🥴 It's actually 7:28 PM, we didn't know the opening time, and since the door was open, we didn't ask. She lets us in, phew... The server was very, very pleasant and gave good advice, nothing to complain about. The crepes were good. I was expecting fish on the menu, but nope. Blank ham, goat cheese log, Roquefort cheese, egg, bacon, button mushrooms In short, all things where you don't open any packaging 😡. The wait was quite long, order taken at 7:45 PM, meal ended after 9 PM for a beer, a savory crepe, and a sweet crepe per person. No salad with the crepe. 16 customers in total for the evening because at 8:19 p.m. she put out the sign full...well there were lots of empty tables. In short, it must have been a bad day... Oh yes, the owner's response to the review is a reflection of her...

16/01/2026: The setting is lovely, I've been there several times and the waitresses are very pleasant, however the food is inconsistent, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars.

09/11/2025: Very disappointing. Very limited choices on the menu, especially the fish; the scallops had a small amount of burnt meat, and the burger had a dry, barely defrosted steak with no salt or pepper. They did offer a €2 discount!

08/02/2026: A historic and beautiful location, but the management's attitude is completely at odds with the prestige it projects. The remarks and shouts directed at the staff in front of customers create an uncomfortable atmosphere. When you consider the refined manner of many great French pastry shops, the contrast is striking. Despite the high prices, the overall impression is unfortunately ordinary and lacking in elegance.

24/11/2024: More and more disappointed with your bakery... Pastries often overcooked and dry This Sunday an inedible frozen cake, while spending 26 euros for 6 people.... It's a shame at that price, and I got a response over the phone ''it's the fridge's fault'' 👏
