23/03/2026: Everything was perfect! My brother recommended this restaurant, and my husband and I were definitely not disappointed. Excellent dishes with plenty of choice (I guessed from our plates that everything was homemade), a beautiful setting (a stone building), a very warm welcome, and very reasonable prices (starter, main course, and dessert for €29 in the evening – cheaper at lunchtime, I believe). I recommend it 100%!

What a delightful surprise it was to enjoy a menu featuring beautiful, fresh, and expertly prepared dishes – a true delight! Many thanks again to the chef-owner for his hospitality and excellent cuisine.
07/02/2026: La Table de Marine was a truly wonderful discovery. From the moment we arrived, Chef Patrick Xavier charmed us with his kindness and warmth. We immediately felt completely at ease, confident that everything would be perfect. Present, attentive, and always engaging, he created a close connection that my wife and I particularly appreciated. The setting is an integral part of the experience: an old stone house with magnificent vaulted ceilings, decorated with understated elegance. The wines and spirits blend seamlessly into this atmosphere, a promise fulfilled—one comes not only to savor the food, but also to pair it with carefully selected, delicate beverages. On the plate, this promise is more than fulfilled. The foie gras terrine, enhanced by its pickles, is simply divine. The pink pork pluma, served with its jus reduction and mushrooms, is remarkably precise. As for the chocolate and pear "mousse"—which far surpasses the idea of ​​a simple mousse—it's superb… and yet, I'm not usually a dessert person. In short, an almost improbable find in terms of quality and authenticity. What a shame we live so far away—otherwise, it would undoubtedly become a must-visit for us. All the best to Chef Xavier, and thank you for this wonderful experience.

I didn't even try the crêpes. I'm replying to the owner; no, this isn't a fake review. I have the right to say it's not good... I've been making galettes every Friday for 30 years!

26/04/2026: A very warm welcome, very pleasant servers, service a little slow, perhaps due to understaffing? A magical spot in front of the Maison Carrée. However, even though it has nothing to do with the restaurant, it would be nice if some people, while there to eat, would refrain from exposing their breasts, even if it's for breastfeeding! A little privacy would be appreciated. Either wear a shawl to maintain privacy (child/mother) or use a bottle of breast milk when you're out and about.
26/04/2026: Thanks to its friendly staff, excellent service, and tempting menu, this café has become my daily go-to spot. A big thank you to Fati, who provides superb service always with a smile, and to Jimmy for his cooking (especially his Wednesday couscous for €12). Its unique location in the heart of historic Nîmes, near the Maison Carrée, the multimedia library, the pedestrian zone, and the famous Roman arena (just a 5-minute walk away), makes it a perfect place to relax and discover the beautiful city of Nîmes. The pleasant terrace offers both sun and shade, attracting a clientele of all ages.

08/04/2026: Overall, the food is pretty average, basic and therefore a bit pricey. The waitress was friendly and smiling, but the restaurant has a real "friends' club" atmosphere, as the patrons are clearly regulars. You feel a bit like a stranger if you're just passing through.

08/04/2026: What a disappointment! Our visit to Les Alizés in Nîmes was, without a doubt, the worst culinary experience of our school trip. We had booked 52 meals for April 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., and the result was catastrophic. The main course: A health hazard The menu was the same for the entire group: chicken and potatoes. While the sauce accompanying the meat was quite good, that was where the positive feedback ended. The chicken was pink. More than half the students received undercooked, or even raw, meat. The most shocking thing was the staff's reaction. When we sent the plates back to the kitchen, we were met with obvious annoyance, as if we were exaggerating. We were told we simply had to eat, almost implying that chicken should be eaten "al dente." The dessert and side dishes The potatoes: Thankfully edible, they were the only substantial element of the meal. The "Tarte Tatin": A true affront to French pastry. The crust was not at all flaky; the base was both soggy and burnt. A parody of a dessert. Conclusion: In a country where gastronomy reigns supreme, this meal was a perfect example of what not to do. If our students learned anything, it was the meaning of the word irony. Serving such poor-quality food in such a historic city is an insult to local cuisine. This establishment should be avoided, especially by school groups.
