15/01/2026: I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Vieux Castillon and I was completely captivated by the venue. The setting is absolutely magical: the architecture, the gardens, the view over the valley… everything lends itself perfectly to an elegant and timeless wedding. An exceptional place to celebrate a marriage.

01/11/2025: Drawn in by the menu featuring an omelet with chanterelles and black trumpet mushrooms, you discover an exceptional spot: a awning-covered patio, an island of tranquility in the heart of Nîmes. The service is outstanding, the sommelier offers excellent advice, and the cuisine is homemade using fresh, local ingredients, orchestrated by renowned chef Sébastien Granier, a Bocuse alumnus (photo visible at the entrance). The wine cellar is top-notch... a set menu at €25, the omelet at €19... it's top-notch without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

07/12/2025: Ordered pizza, quiches, focaccia, and cake for a birthday. The mille-feuille was awful. There was practically no icing on it, not even a clear one, and the puff pastry was overcooked. I was ashamed to serve that cake to 14 people. This is the second time we've been unhappy.

22/03/2026: We arrived at 12:15 PM and were finally shown to our table at 3:30 PM without a word of apology for the slow and completely disorganized service. The asparagus soup was served cold and tasteless. The meat, however, was very well prepared and redeemed the meal. The birthday cake was a generic, snow-like thing. I do not recommend this restaurant.

22/03/2026: Very mixed feelings. The starter was excellent, but the main course for Mr. Salmon en Croûte was more like pastry with a little fish, and Mrs. Kebab was ordered well-done, but the inside of the meat was bloody and inedible. As a result, we didn't order dessert. Otherwise, the place is pleasant, although despite the empty tables, we ended up with a table in the middle.

01/05/2026: Hello everyone, still in our beautiful region for the May Day weekend. We stopped for a bite to eat and frankly, the scallops weren't great—too dry, not creamy at all, not to mention the fries that stuck together, which wasn't good either. However, the chicken skewer was very good, as was the beef skewer. A quick word for our waiter Alex, who was very friendly. We also have to say that we didn't really like the fact that you couldn't pay less than €25 (it encourages you to spend more). As far as we're concerned, we won't be going back. Sergio and Béa

07/04/2026: Okay, granted, it's not perfect, but still… I stay in many 4-star hotels that are even better, but €65 to sleep in such a large, clean bed in such a quiet, beautiful location, with such a warm welcome as the lady who runs this hotel gave us, I've never experienced and never will. So yes, five stars, and for the price, it's more than worth it. Well done to the team.

12/03/2026: I love this friendly, relaxed bistro for a truly excellent steak and fries, located on a lively square with plenty of activity, foot traffic, plane trees, and cold beer! As for the AK burger, they serve it until 6 pm! It's really substantial! I can confirm...

23/02/2026: We had a fantastic couscous! Even though the place doesn't look like much, the meal was excellent and the waiter was very friendly.

26/03/2026: We came a week ago, and I took my time before posting my review because I'm usually quite positive! The fries were very, very overcooked, so they were as hard as wood. The waitress was very unpleasant when we joked about the weight of the rib steak; she could have explained herself calmly. The worst part was when she accused me of taking my credit card out too quickly after she had just thanked me, which I misinterpreted. I tried to explain myself politely to defuse her anger, but she persisted, showing complete disregard for me as a customer (or even as a human being)! Unacceptable!! I just hope it was an off day.

15/03/2026: Good evening. We were approached by a member of staff from this restaurant as we were walking past it, and we ended up going in. We're so glad we did! A very warm welcome, a bistro-style setting, an excellent dish (a piece of beef), and homemade fries that were very brown but tasty. Good value for money. I recommend this establishment for a pleasant experience.

05/03/2026: I was very disappointed with my visit. Despite purchasing two boxes and one chocolate bar for €45, and visiting on a recommendation, we were offered no discount or tasting, while the customer behind me received a free chocolate. The welcome was quite cold and unfriendly for a first group visit!

06/02/2026: Nothing is fresh, and it shows (the vegetables look like they came straight from a can) and it tastes good. Very expensive (€47 at lunchtime for two mediocre dishes, a beer, and an herbal tea). It's far too much to serve such low-quality, poorly cooked supermarket produce. With only one person serving, perhaps they should limit themselves to offering just one daily special. I don't understand the rave reviews at all. The service (with only six customers) is ridiculously slow. The old pot of fleur de sel on the table, stained with grease, is not ideal. At least use a spoon...

17/01/2026: Thank you for lunch today. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish! As I was in a bit of a hurry, the manager was kind enough to serve me before the restaurant opened.
