02/09/2026: The best shank of my life! I'm a lover of this cut of meat and have tried it in various places where it's considered a typical dish, but never so good: tender and flavorful meat that never gets old, thanks in part to the refreshing side dishes and the unique horseradish sauce. I've been back to try other dishes, and they've all been excellent, but the shank remains my favorite! The waitress upstairs was very kind and friendly. The atmosphere is rustic and warm. Highly recommended!

03/01/2026: We made a last-minute reservation and got a table. We received a very warm welcome, the service was excellent and well-paced, and the owner had a friendly, witty remark and a genuine desire for quality. We ordered two set menus: starter, main course, and dessert, including gratinated scallops, sauerkraut, and trout, followed by a sorbet with a generous splash of liqueur and a chestnut tart. The large dining room was beautifully decorated with ample space between the tables, creating a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. We have no regrets and will definitely return, especially since the menu changes regularly!

15/08/2026: A lovely spot away from the city center, surrounded by greenery and refreshingly cool despite the heatwave! Every dish was exquisite! We had a wonderful time!

17/08/2026: Terrible welcome. There were free tables under the covered terrace, but we were made to wait outside in the rain and even had to go outside when we wanted to wait inside. It was also impossible to use the toilets without being seated at a table… I still don't understand: was I supposed to pee outside? :))

All the ingredients are organic, the food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, and my personal highlight was the sugar-free brownie for dessert and the lupin coffee. Highly recommended.

29/08/2026: A wonderful family evening in a traditional setting! We came to the Hammerer for dinner on a Friday evening as a family and had a fantastic time. The traditional Alsatian decor adds a lot of charm and immediately sets the mood. After a very pleasant aperitif to start the evening, everyone at the table enjoyed a delicious meal: * For the adults: A generous and perfectly executed five-meat sauerkraut for me, and a delicious vol-au-vent for my wife. * For the children: Everyone found something they loved, from the mini sauerkraut to the rich and flavorful tarte flambée au gratin and the mussels and fries. Special mention goes to the fries, which were truly excellent! To finish on a sweet note, we opted for the iced kugelhopf (a real treat!), a very refreshing citrus crème brûlée, and ice cream for the children. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere warm. A lovely traditional restaurant in Colmar that we highly recommend!

01/09/2026: It has nothing to do with a Michelin restaurant. We tried 4 different menus and 3 of the 4 main courses were completely unsalted and completely overpriced. The only thing we enjoyed was the Alsatian wine.
