07/03/2026: Typical Alsatian cuisine with regional dishes. Very friendly and hardworking owner.

01/03/2026: We were looking for a meal not far from the center, with parking nearby and in a clean area. Of course, remember to make a reservation. We wanted to try an Alsatian specialty, fleischnaskas, and it was delicious—a must-try!

07/12/2025: We waited 50 minutes for lunch, clearly stating that there were six of us plus a baby stroller. After 50 minutes, they let us in, but said the baby stroller couldn't fit, saying we could hold the baby. They could have told us right away without making us wait, instead of making us wait outside in the rain and cold with a newborn. I understand the problems, but it's enough to say it right away. They even told us to go to hell in French. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

12/12/2025: We had a great time at the Christmas market. The food was good and the service was quick and friendly. Admittedly, it was crowded and there was a queue for a table, but that's to be expected at this time of year.

12/12/2025: Centrally located in Colmar, it's also great to dine outside during the Christmas markets, immersed in the atmosphere. Super friendly service. The food is just average, fine. Please keep a closer eye on the restrooms. Some people apparently don't know how a restroom works these days 😉.

12/12/2025: Bistrot des Lavandaires is a charming spot in the heart of Colmar. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. Service is the real highlight: attentive, friendly, and genuinely professional, without ever feeling intrusive. The food was good and well prepared, enjoyable and consistent with the bistrot style. Overall, a very pleasant experience, especially thanks to the excellent service and the lovely setting.

11/12/2025: Avoid at all costs! We received a terrible welcome, the waitresses were incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional, not to mention the minimalist dishes that arrived cold at the table, tasteless and uninteresting. Paying 35 euros for this kind of menu is inconceivable!

23/02/2026: A very pleasant establishment. The portions were very generous and delicious. It was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Simply superb.

21/02/2026: We had a really good meal here there was no english language menu but the waiter was more than happy to explain every dish . I had a very good potato and cheese salad and my partner had a fantastic salmon quiche. And we finished off with maybe the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had. Overall a great experience

02/01/2026: We came in for dinner, and a woman approached us. When I started speaking English, she began waving her hands aggressively in front of my face. It was far too aggressive, and my child was frightened by her behavior. She was shouting that she does not speak English. I believe this may be the reason why the restaurant was almost empty, unlike other places we tried to visit but couldn’t because they were fully booked. Such behavior is very strange for service staff in a tourist city. Colmar welcomes tourists from all over the world. If you don’t want to speak English, that’s fine, but it can be communicated calmly. Her behavior ruined not only our evening, but also our impression of the city itself.

15/02/2026: The meal was very good, and the staff were happy to answer questions, but the service was rushed; we were out in less than an hour. And above all, don't expect any warm service once you've paid. A simple "thank you and goodbye" wouldn't have been out of place after spending a fortune.

14/02/2026: Very overpriced. Not worth a try. Strange service: after starters, waiter left dirty fork and knife for the main dish not daring (until I requested) changing it for a news clean one. Couple of min after I was seated, I was informed kitchen will be closed in 5 minutes. After this place I got a feeling there is no food culture neither savior vivre. Disappointing.

02/03/2026: I love discovering new places, those spots where you can have a great time. The Caveau Saint Pierre is a perfect example. Located on the riverbank, in a traditional Alsatian setting, you're greeted politely and kindly. The cuisine is Alsatian, and we ate a typical local dish that our mothers used to make for us—though not nearly as good—40 years ago (I'll let you do the math on that): vol-au-vent with Alsatian pasta. It was delicious, a rare and precious trip down memory lane. Frankly, while there's an explosion of those cheap, impersonal restaurants trying to convince you that you're going to eat the food of our childhood, come to Alsace and you'll see how refined and flavorful it is. With that, I opted for the amazing Grinch cocktail! And what a surprise the crème brûlée was, made right before your eyes. In short, my sweetheart, with her lovely green eyes, and I adored our meal in this tavern so much that I'm keeping my review serious. It's good, it's effective, everything we love!

16/03/2026: Unfortunately, the Backoeffe were basically just fried potatoes and goulash – nothing special, but not bad either. The Fleischnakas were just like German Maultaschen, but drier, and the dough itself wasn't fresh and was hard. There were three large pieces in total, sitting in a rather uninspiring vegetable broth. Traditional ambiance, but overpriced.

15/03/2026: It’s a traditional Alsatic restaurant. The food and wine were very good.The staff was very kind and friendly. Highly recommend if you visit Colmar.

13/10/2025: Super sweet shop with lovely owner and staff. Favorite was Le Toit du Monde (?). It was very reasonably priced and you get plenty of we ordered a few and shared to try. Recommend on a chilly day for sure!

10/10/2025: No experience with teas, but the beautiful Bredermeijer teapots are very expensive, much more so than elsewhere. Not recommended for these products...

08/03/2026: I visited Colmar, a two-star Michelin gastronomy restaurant, hoping to enjoy a special dinner. This time, I ordered the six-course dinner with wine pairings. Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were delicately balanced, making it a highly refined course, as you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The combinations and presentations of the ingredients were well thought out, and each dish was surprising, making the meal itself feel like an experience in itself. The wine pairings were carefully tailored to the dishes, further enhancing the appeal of each dish. The staff's explanations and service were attentive, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely meal in a calm atmosphere. While the prices are by no means cheap, I believe this restaurant offers a wonderful experience, including the food, wine, and service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone planning a special dinner in Colmar.
