25/10/2025: Le Pèr’Gras is one of those Grenoble institutions where you enter with enthusiasm, almost fervor, convinced you're experiencing a suspended moment, an exceptional moment worthy of its history. The warm and sincere welcome maintains this promise for a while. The illusion works, like a first-year soufflé: we applaud the goodwill, we forgive the clumsiness... until everything collapses on the plate. To accompany the aperitif, some sausage and cheese rolls. A disconcertingly simple appetizer, suggesting that here, tradition flirts dangerously with the cafeteria. At this rate, next time, I'll book a restaurant at a gastronomic restaurant to enjoy some Pringles: at least it would be perfectly in line with the current inflation rate. The room, quickly overtaken by the hubbub, makes the charm of the first few minutes vanish. The service, friendly but clearly lost in the menu, struggles to answer even the simplest questions: the composition of a dish, the ingredients in a mocktail, the origin of the products. As the hesitations mount, doubt sets in. As for whether the mocktails are made from local produce, no one can say, not even the server, visibly as intrigued as his customers. The dishes arrive unpresented. No announcement, no explanation, as if mystery were meant to replace rigor. But the surprise here isn't tinged with magic. It simply denotes a certain laxity, hardly in keeping with the codes of a restaurant claiming to be gourmet. Faced with food intolerances, particularly lactose, one would have hoped for more attention, even a hint of creativity. Instead of the unsuitable dessert, two modest pieces of cheese, accompanied by wilted grapes, served as an alternative. A makeshift solution, more resigned than inventive. The cuisine, finally, remains adequate, but lacks brilliance. It executes rather than expresses itself, and leaves the palate in a polished neutrality, far from the culinary emotion one expects from a restaurant of this reputation. Do you have to try the most expensive menu to be surprised? If the Harvest menu, at €49 per person, is already barely convincing, how can you be tempted by the Pèr'Gras menu at €73 or €78? The question is worth asking. Then there's the view, sumptuous, sovereign. A breathtaking panorama, which alone justifies the pilgrimage. But in this sublime setting, the meal lacks soul, as if the restaurant, strong in its past, had fallen asleep on its reputation. As it stands, a historic address which would benefit from rediscovering the rigor, precision and creativity that its name still evokes for so many Grenoble residents.

09/10/2025: Good atmosphere, very good food and fast service, recommended to book

10/09/2025: Restaurant with a beautiful view of the mountains. We had lunch on the terrace. It was a workers' menu. A simple but delicious meal, with its vinaigrette and forest sauce. We enjoyed it. However, the bottle of wine is a bit expensive (€29.50); ​​we ordered a bottle of white wine and a bottle of red wine (the price hadn't been announced in advance).

12/07/2025: This isn't a restaurant, but a grocery store—at least, that's how we were welcomed. Yet the grocery store transformed into a restaurant once we left. Isère is truly magical.

06/06/2025: We stopped for a drink. The place is well located, however during rush hour the traffic can be unbearable. The prices are a bit high, for the environment: messy walls, retro furniture not particularly well-kept... however there is a nice atmosphere, you can see that the owners are well-liked. However I don't know, I don't think it is 5 stars.

07/12/2025: We had a wonderful time at Le Relais des Vieilles Postes. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Thanks also to the owner for his good humor when we paid. We'll definitely be back.

23/08/2024: Visited twice during our stay in Les 2 Alpes, once for takeaway pizzas, fast service and good pizzas. Then on the terrace one lunchtime, we ate very well, were pampered and the waiter was great! Our family really appreciated it. Little extra for the à la carte names 😉

04/06/2025: It is a typical French bistro in the Eybens area. The truth is that it is lucky to have a restaurant with this quality in the neighborhood!!! Everything very homemade and very delicious. They are very close and very nice people! 100% recommended.

21/05/2025: A restaurant we found by chance and which has become our go-to place for years with a friend. The dishes are all homemade. The cuisine is high-quality. I found myself eating things I didn't necessarily like, as they were so well prepared. The menu speaks for itself: three hot dishes, three desserts. Quality in all simplicity, that's so rare these days.

29/06/2025: I discovered this restaurant on recommendation. I went with my family, and it was excellent! The food was delicious. I had a chicken burger, and we shared a plate of nachos for an appetizer! The servers were super friendly and gave great advice! 😌

24/11/2025: A wonderful discovery at the restaurant in the Pont de Royans Water Museum. The regional cuisine is delicious, generous, and prepared with care. The portions are truly generous, perfect for fully enjoying the local specialties. The view of the hanging houses adds a unique charm to the meal. A warm and authentic place that I highly recommend.

23/11/2025: It's indecent to refuse someone who doesn't eat meat at a group meal, for example by not offering them fish; it's particularly disrespectful. Everyone is different, and if someone doesn't eat meat for various but important reasons, that deserves respect! A little flexibility is the bare minimum...
