05/07/2026: We had a wonderful time; the food was excellent and very generous, and the setting was magnificent at the foot of the castle. The meals were served in large platters meant for sharing, which created a very convivial atmosphere, like a family meal. I highly recommend it!

02/04/2026: Looking for a 4-day solo getaway without a car at the end of March, I found the perfect hotel: - very well located: all shops, cinema, and bus station are less than a 5-minute walk away; hiking trails start from a 10-minute walk. - half-board or full-board options available (perfect after hiking); - simple hotel and rooms (hence the attractive price) but it has everything you need; - the best part: attentive owners and a friendly, family atmosphere

01/08/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! The setting is simply exceptional, with magnificent late 19th-century frescoes that give the place a unique atmosphere. This restaurant, housed in a historic building, is worth the trip alone. As for the food, everything was excellent: homemade dishes, flavorful and prepared with care. The service was also impeccable, with smiling, attentive, and very pleasant staff. A big thank you to the entire team! If you're ever in Mens, don't hesitate for a second; you'll have a fantastic time.

30/07/2026: We had lunch in a beautiful setting. The meal was visually stunning and, above all, delicious. One small hiccup: the use of AI on the syrup menu—please, AI doesn't create beautiful images. We also waited an hour for our food to arrive. Aside from that, go for it! The atmosphere is fantastic, and Jo and his two friends were hilarious.

24/06/2026: Limited menus. Cosy ambiente. Meat was on point, sauce perfect, veggies delicious. No English menus, but service was super friendly. More classical French cuisine, I guess - also the stuff on neighboring plates look great.

26/03/2026: One point deducted for two reasons. The fondue arrived halfway through our aperitif. The amount of cheese in the fondue was a bit skimpy.

22/07/2026: Disappointed. The meal was quite simple, the presentation very basic, and the main course rather disappointing – little taste, not spicy.

22/07/2026: We opted for the lunch menu and were very disappointed. The food was bland and the presentation was poor. It felt like a school cafeteria. It was nothing like the photos or the quality of the restaurant two years ago. Only the dessert was good. The setting was pleasant and the service efficient.

11/07/2026: The food was excellent, no complaints there! However, the service needs improvement. It's unacceptable to serve the white wine we ordered with our meal before the aperitif (especially when it's so hot) and to forget to order a starter when we had specifically requested a three-course meal. One of us ended up eating our starter after everyone else… No apology was given, just a dismissive "it happens to everyone."

18/04/2026: It had been a few years since our last visit. There's been a change of ownership since then. The meal was very good overall, although the slow-cooked rabbit was overcooked. The local spritz with sparkling Saint-Savin wine, however, wasn't great (too bland). The waiter is still the same, very friendly and pleasant (a little wink to him). We'll definitely be back.

07/04/2026: A wonderful restaurant with a very warm welcome. We were delighted to see our waiter Pierre again, who always had a smile on his face. He gave excellent wine recommendations, asking about our budget, and described the dishes with a charming, sing-song manner. The dishes were full of flavor and beautifully presented.

23/07/2026: Beutifull location , better service opposite at the hotel. Coffee was nice.

29/06/2026: We arrived a little later in the afternoon and the kitchen was practically sold out. Nevertheless, the very friendly staff checked to see if we could still get something. We received a superb tartiflette en dauphinois with a delicious salad. Thank you!
