13/08/2026: Passing through traffic after many jams, we were hungry and didn't want to spend ages searching for a place to eat, and here online reservations were possible (very helpful with my terrible French). At first, I thought: oh dear, a truck stop... BUT: the food there is really delicious and freshly prepared. They have a daily menu, the service is super friendly, and we were served quickly. I would definitely stop there again :)

04/10/2026: A bistro I stumbled upon one evening. The decor is lovely and the service is impeccable (friendly and professional). The menu is short but very tempting. Special mention goes to the roasted feta (cranberry and pine nuts) and the revered truffle risotto with a perfectly cooked egg; everything was delicious. Just one point for improvement: the pace of taking orders and serving courses was a little slow.

15/09/2026: Valrhona gluten-free chocolate fondant – it was my first time trying it. It was delicious, with a strong hint of dark chocolate. The chef and her daughter are lovely 😊. Thank you!

23/08/2026: The welcome was as warm as ever. On this market day, we sat outside in a pleasant atmosphere on the shaded terrace. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes, no one had paid us any attention. So we left without having bought anything.

12/07/2026: It was a package deal including spa and dinner. We were able to eat under the trees. I hadn't been back to La Table d'Uriage for four years. What a wonderful surprise! The chef is different, the dishes are refined and excellent. The flavor combinations are original and subtle. The servers are very friendly. 08/03/2026: What a delightful surprise this charming restaurant was, tucked away in a rather dreary cul-de-sac! The welcome is cheerful and warm, the decor a clever, slightly kitschy blend of seaside and mountain themes, and the lighting is perfectly balanced to allow you to admire what's arriving on your plate. The menu is extensive, inventive, and promising. This is confirmed when the dishes are served: everything is fresh, beautiful, flavorful, and served without delay. We enjoyed the langoustines and the confit lamb in a pastry crust, which we chose as starters (both generous portions), and then we savored the hake with sorrel and confit potatoes, as well as the fish quenelle with shellfish jus. The desserts are excellent, with a special mention for the caramelized apples and meringue, a reimagined version of the common floating island found elsewhere. Very reasonable prices again (76 euros for two, starter-main-dessert plus two half-pints of Leffe) when compared to what the other tourist trap restaurants in Villard dare to charge for over-prepared and soulless food. An original and welcoming place that makes you want to return very soon with friends! Thank you, Mr. Charentais. 😊

12/01/2026: What a delight this little restaurant is! Finally, something other than "mountain" fare. Everything was new to us: lamb confit with morels in a pastry crust, oysters and scallops with parsley sauce, suckling pig offal stew, Charentais-style chowder, mashed potatoes with cabbage... A true delight, and served with a smile, too! Good value for money. Highly recommended!

30/08/2026: I found this restaurant with an app that counts calories in photos. This bacon burger fit perfectly into my daily protein intake. The dish was really good. The service is quick and the atmosphere is pleasant.

23/09/2026: Disappointed. We come often, but this is the second time. When the waiters are serving, it's fine. But this time, the two girls, one of them quite assertive, have absolutely no manners and drone on. They're just going through the motions, "Ladies and gentlemen, what do you want to eat?" And then, after paying by credit card, they say "thank you, goodbye" so fast we couldn't even reply because we were being rushed! And she dares to be proud of herself!
