13/12/2024: Memorable discovery between friends, I will keep delicious memories of this lunch. The setting of the castle is sumptuous, chandeliers, furniture, everything is elegant and having a meal under the beams which have retained such colors can only leave a wonderful memory. But on top of that, the welcome is friendly and frank, the explanations, whether culinary or historical, are given with precision and the pleasure of sharing. As for the cuisine, it was simply a treat! Thank you also for allowing us to wander around the castle.

Il faut être gourmand et gourmet pour apprécier cette excellente cuisine Les mets sont raffinés et les produits sont excellents Très belle présentation Délicieux amuses bouche. Nous avons tous les 5 adorés, la gouline , les ravioles de foie gras et potiron puis le sanglier, le coq, la lotte tout simplement délicieux. Les desserts furent excellents le dessert au chocolat et les figues rôties. La carte des vins est superbe. Cela mérite une étoile Michelin .. le prix du menu est plus que raisonnable. On a adoré .. on vas vite revenir! A découvrir absolument 🙏❤️❤️❤️

10/10/2025: A wonderful discovery during a stopover in Cholet! I highly recommend it. We had a wonderful time. Warm welcome and very pleasant staff. (We ate at the counter because it was full, a great time and a great chat with the chef.) Thank you. Looking forward to coming back.

16/12/2024: Un lieu chargé d'histoire, de paix et d'inspiration. Une carte de saison avec beaucoup de créativité du début à la fin. La carte des vins exploite particulièrement les richesses régionales mais sait aller chercher la créativité ailleurs aussi. Service aimable et souriant. Très bon moment !

16/12/2024: Bon accueil et service bien assuré , pas d'attente bonne recommandation pour le vin Saveurs appréciées des plats , quantités satisfaisantes .

06/11/2024: Despite an excellent meal (except aperitif cakes: a small handful of peanuts only per table of 5 people), I could not forget the lack of friendliness of the waiter and especially of the manager (from whom I asked for bottles of wine which were due during the meal (there is indeed the art and the way of responding - thank you to the waiter who defended me) and to an expeditious speed of service These remarks were also shared by some of the guests. For me, a restaurant means eating well but also being welcomed with a smile…

02/11/2024: Top-notch cuisine, however the friendliness of the manager and the waiter was not up to par

28/06/2025: We went to eat there and it's definitely worth avoiding. If you want to eat in 10 minutes, you're in the right place. Everything was supposed to go very quickly, 5 minutes to choose your drink, we got our dishes when we had just started the aperitif. The waitress asked us if we were finished while we were eating. The dessert menu was offered but in negative form so we wouldn't have any, and the coffees were the same. And frankly, nothing special in their dishes. There are much better in Saumur. First and last time for me. The staff, we don't talk about it!! And we felt watched.

10/06/2025: I had the opportunity to discover fouées there. The assortment of fillings was perfect: bacon, black pudding, mogette beans, cream, goat cheese.

14/12/2024: Perhaps we should think about being less mediocre. Context: we made a reservation well in advance for around forty people. I'll skip the details, but frankly being so rude is not allowed. We had 3 last minute cancellations and we had to pay for the 3 NOT CONSUMED menus on such a reservation: lunar. In addition, the menus were not cheap (35€) for dishes which were neither copious nor good (clearly frozen) and which did not even correspond to the description. Examples: Admission announced: fish terrine Entrance received: a small slice of fish cake Advertised dish: chicken supreme Dish received: an undercooked chicken leg... The teams have the courage to collaborate with such a manager. Frankly, if it bothers you to work or take such a reservation, well you know what, DON'T ACCEPT. In short, don't waste your time, it was bad in every way.

14/12/2024: Fast and efficient service but disappointed with the welcome from the room manager, not very commercial for a large team. A feeling of embarrassment, perhaps due to bad experiences, but that makes you less likely to come back.

27/01/2025: We had dinner on a Saturday evening and although we ate well, it was not up to the prices charged. The wine list is excessive and the cheese platter too classic (the same at home) Considering the price of the menus, we expected more refined dishes. We can come back but simply for lunch with colleagues.

03/09/2024: This is a very underrated restaurant. According to the review, it is much better than this place, but the taste is terrible. A while ago, a Korean person introduced it on Yutuk, so I looked it up, and I recommend squid ink risotto, potato pork pig's feet, beef daube, and pavlova, sweet and sour, for dessert.

02/09/2024: Had dinner here in Oct 2023 with my party of 7. We really enjoyed our meals and drinks and the atmosphere was clean and not crowded. Most of us got the stew which was very good although very hot. Our service was excellent. This was definitely one of our better meals on our London/Paris trip. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
