31/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at this beautiful restaurant, and what can I say about the excellent meal? The chef's signature dish was five stars! We were incredibly lucky to have dined at a Bocuse d'Or restaurant.

23/03/2026: The food truly lives up to the magnificent setting! The chef has made this sublime abbey his home for many years, and it's easy to see why; the monastic atmosphere doesn't detract from the pleasure of the delicious dishes on offer. The wine pairings were very well chosen.

25/04/2026: Restaurant at the foot of the castle. Beautiful setting. The owner and staff were very welcoming and kind. The food was extraordinarily good and the dishes were beautifully presented. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

24/04/2026: Passing through Saumur, we stopped for lunch at L’Orangeraie de Saumur, at the foot of the castle. The view of the castle was breathtaking, and the terrace was very pleasant. We were able to enjoy a simple lunch with my son. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was good. The price was very reasonable. I recommend it.

14/03/2026: It's a real pleasure to have lunch at this inn. Claire and her husband make a warm and efficient team. The food is generous and high-quality, and Claire knows our preferences, which creates an even more personal atmosphere. We've tried the gourmet menu as a family and as a couple: it's excellent and just as generous! But we're regulars at the bistro-style lunch, which we love every time.

27/04/2026: The food was excellent, no complaints whatsoever! But the service... what can I say? It simply falls far short of what one expects from a restaurant of this caliber. The welcome was dreary and bland, the waitress barely smiled, and the service was morbid. As a customer, you feel completely neglected during your meal; there was no "Did everything go well?" when collecting your food. This creates a very oppressive and unpleasant atmosphere; you feel like you're intruding. I used to come here about ten years ago, and it was nothing like this. The staff were truly professional and respected, with a certain standard. Now, nothing of the sort... This restaurant, which I used to love, has left me with a rather bitter taste. What a shame!

20/04/2026: We came to this restaurant thanks to a gift voucher. We received a very warm welcome. The staff were very dedicated to their work and did a great job despite the restaurant being full. The meal was delicious. Although our voucher only included a starter and main course or a main course and dessert, being the foodies we are, we ordered a full meal and paid the difference, of course. Go without hesitation; you'll be delighted with everything.

19/04/2026: This is where you'll find the best chocolate cake in the world. (The other cakes on the menu are also delicious!) It's a place I love to recommend to people visiting Angers. 🍰🍵🥧☕️

10/04/2026: Service ended at 9 pm. You're basically kicked out, and if you don't want dessert, no problem… It's a real shame because the galette was good.

09/04/2026: A delightful discovery today. In a very cozy setting, tucked away on Rue David D'Angers, this crêperie is well worth the detour. The owner, who's also the chef, is very friendly, and her galettes/crêpes are delicious (as are the homemade cakes). Next time, I'll definitely bring some friends.

18/03/2026: A relaxing moment, a beautiful setting (overlooking the vineyards), friendly service, and refined cuisine with lovely presentation. If you're looking for homemade food with enough choice to please everyone, this restaurant deserves your attention. Kudos to the whole team!

26/04/2026: Set menu for workers at €15 with coffee (€14 without), good value for money. The starter buffet includes an excellent pâté terrine and fresh celery. For the main course, a chicken leg with homemade fries, simple and satisfying. Black pudding and sweet potato mash. The dining room is large and welcoming, perfect for sharing with other customers.

16/02/2026: Valentine's Day Evening It could have been a lovely evening. Especially since we had booked a table for four in mid-January and confirmed directly with the owner in early February. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at the restaurant and were asked our names without a greeting, only to be told there was no table for us. There was little explanation, well, almost none, as two tables had been reserved under the same name and at the same time (understandably, they canceled one). Well, there's nothing we can do for you, go somewhere else. Now, when making a reservation, you have to give several names (perhaps the names of parents, grandparents, etc.). Thanks, neighbors.
