11/08/2024: Excellent time in this restaurant which has everything of a gourmet but without the frills. Presentation of dishes, service, virtuous exchanges… everything is there!

04/08/2024: Based on the wonderful reviews of this restaurant, we booked for our wedding anniversary. We were sadly very disappointed by the food- although beautifully presented, both starter and mains were unseasoned and flavourless. My starter of a medley of tomatoes with scallop ceviche used unripe tomatoes with of couple of bland scallops sprinkled on. The vegetarian main was some sort of savoury aubergine muffin on a bed of finely sliced and raw courgette- non with any flavour. My husband had the cod- once again very bland and disappointing. There was no background music, service slow (we ended up pouring our own wine) and the view of the vineyards obscured by a fairly overgrown hedge and uncut lawn. Given the prices charged we expected more- this was like fine dining from 20 years ago.

02/12/2025: Not a single false note at this very chic restaurant where the dishes are served in exquisite presentation boxes. A delight for the taste buds. It was my birthday present; I wouldn't have wanted anything else. Thank you so much.

31/01/2026: Family dinners are always a pleasure. The menu offers something for everyone: savory crepes, pizzas, or burgers... The country-style pizza is a wonderful discovery with its andouille sausage and rillauds (pork belly confit) 😋 Warm welcome. We always come back!

02/02/2026: An excellent crêperie with generous galettes. The desserts are just as generous. Impeccable service from the owner, who is always smiling and welcoming. Her husband is in the kitchen; he's the one who delights our taste buds. It's definitely worth the trip.

12/12/2025: A truly wonderful discovery. A lovely restaurant on the banks of the Loire (it must be fantastic in the summer). We opted for the set menu of starter/main course/dessert (we have a sweet tooth!). We were treated to a delicious amuse-bouche, a gougère with black garlic. For the starter: delicious accras and a lovely terrine with pickles. For the main course: a divine, melt-in-your-mouth beef cheek with tender winter vegetables. For dessert: a sort of French toast with poached pears, a small madeleine biscuit with vanilla cream, and pear ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were just stopping over, but we will definitely be back… Thank you for this delightful experience and thank you to the pleasant waitress and the staff.

06/12/2025: A magnificent establishment. A small menu, but more than enough, given the quality of the ingredients and the truly delicious and high-quality dishes. The presentation is tasteful and meticulous. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the view of the Louet River, but we were treated to a culinary journey. Congratulations to the chef.

30/11/2025: We came for our father's birthday and unfortunately the entire meal disappointed us (mediocre wine and very basic dishes). We were usually delighted with this restaurant, which is why we chose it. To top it all off, once we started our dessert, the chocolate plaque with "Happy Birthday" written on it, which was supposed to be on our father's dessert, arrived afterward and was given to his son! We won't be back.

The bistro section offers 3 simple but delicious choices, with excellent value for money. Fast service, pleasant and friendly atmosphere, ideal for enjoying a meal

15/02/2026: A wonderful Valentine's Day surprise from my husband: first, a visit to Fontevraud Abbey. Super interesting with a very friendly guide. Then off to La Licorne: everything was perfect: the welcome, the staff, the dinner, and the bed and breakfast!! Everything was delicious, homemade, and this morning, a generous breakfast. I highly recommend this haven of calm and peace. Isabelle, our hostess, is charming with her Spanish accent 😊
