17/05/2026: Passing through Saumur (we were the first ones there!), we were lucky enough to spend a very pleasant time at this restaurant on the banks of the Loire. Refined cuisine, very friendly atmosphere. A big thank you to Karine for her warm and welcoming hospitality. We will definitely be back.

05/05/2026: Family meal for 14 people, with a quote received in advance. We paid the bill and left the restaurant, but very quickly we questioned the total amount paid, approximately €700. After checking and complaining, we were told there had been an “error” in the quote sent by email, then informed that desserts were not included, even though the waiter had offered to replace desserts with coffee for those who wished. We were also told that at that price, we “weren’t getting a good deal.” This was followed by more than a month of follow-ups to obtain a refund, with repeated excuses to justify the delays (impossibility of making the transfer, waiting for the son, transfer problems, lack of funds, etc.). In the end, we received a partial refund of €200, and we let the children’s menus, which were charged at the adult menu price, go unaddressed. Given the facts and the numerous difficulties encountered in obtaining legal status, everything suggests that the situation was deliberately complicated. It's a shame, because the meal itself was decent. A very negative experience. Caution is strongly advised.

27/05/2026: Tuesday, May 26th €16.50 for the dish of the day. One overcooked sausage, five potatoes barely hanging on, and a poorly washed lettuce leaf. No further comment. Pleasant and professional servers.

09/06/2026: This bakery is smaller than the other Ange bakeries in Angers. There seems to be slightly less hoox (a type of pastry) and the reception area is smaller. But otherwise, they are very welcoming.

06/06/2026: Dirty table, too many staff, not one person to clean or clear the tables; they preferred to chat amongst themselves. Customers had to clear and clean their own tables before they could sit down. Shameful.

08/04/2026: An incredible, magical place, a haven of peace. Comfortable and well-equipped rooms (iron and ironing board, bathroom and shoe kit, refrigerator, microwave). A delicious breakfast, including gluten-free options. The restaurant is extremely good. Warm welcome. In short, I highly recommend it for business trips and romantic getaways.

11/04/2026: We received a wonderful welcome at this restaurant for dinner with friends. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. We had a very good meal; the meat was delicious and the fries were excellent. We highly recommend it.

26/04/2026: Set menu for workers at €15 with coffee (€14 without), good value for money. The starter buffet includes an excellent pâté terrine and fresh celery. For the main course, a chicken leg with homemade fries, simple and satisfying. Black pudding and sweet potato mash. The dining room is large and welcoming, perfect for sharing with other customers.

Nicknamed "The Sugar Genius" in the upper echelons of pastry, Laurent Petit has been delighting us for many years with unwavering consistency and brilliance... everything from the shop to the welcome (masterfully handled by his "Sweet Bomb," Corinne...) the products (the best flan I know) and the value for money... originality and diversity... it's flawless for Maison Petit... A huge congratulations and more, more, more...!!!!!!!!

20/06/2026: I ordered two red fruit pavlovas for my daughter's birthday and I was disappointed because the amount of fruit and compote was minimal. It felt like I was eating nothing but meringue, and at €6 a slice, that's disappointing. On the other hand, the cake itself was excellent and would have deserved 5 stars if the amount of fruit and compote had been more generous.

21/06/2026: Apparently, seats on the terrace are expensive on Music Day! The staff are very pushy about upselling drinks as soon as you put down your empty glass!

02/06/2026: Yo is the best bartender in Angers, and I mean it. He knows his products inside and out and is meticulous about quality. Funny and approachable, Yo is definitely the person who makes this bar a must-visit in Angers.
