21/08/2024: Shabby cheque with a distinct sense of style. Situated in a lovely position overlooking a river in a wooden valley. The place is a magical mix of various shabby antiques for sale (brocante) as well as a cafe serving various things. Make sure you look around. It's very pleasing.

01/09/2024: Always great food at a very reasonable price. We visit here as a couple and with extended family every time we are in France 4/5 times a year. Menu changes frequently, we have never left disappointed. Staff are very attentive and restaurant welcoming with a lovely fire in the winter months. Would recommend a visit, you will return.

31/08/2024: My wife and I have visited L'Abbaye several times during our vacation. To say we were made welcome (despite not having made a reservation) would be an understatement. From the standard of the food and presentation to the friendly professional helpful staff, it all helped to make our stay more memorable. A little personal recommendation. I never drink Guinness outside of Ireland, especially in France. On our first visit, the owner, Peter, said he had the best Guinness in France. Always up for a challenge, I said would test his claim. So I watched him pull the pint, from the initial pour, to letting it sit before the second pour, to the creamy head, to the temperature, and above all else, the taste. I can't honestly say that he lived up to his claim to having the best pint in France. For your friendship and welcome Thank you. Ger & Connie

04/09/2024: Mon épouse et moi même avons énormément apprécié notre repas. Tout était parfait, de la mise en bouche au dessert. Une table extrêmement recommandable.

18/06/2024: Really enjoyed our stay in this well run hotel. The restaurant was excellent for our evening meal & perfect breakfast too. Room was compact but very well equipped with comfy bed, good shower & everything very clean. Good situation with lovely garden down to the riverside plus secure parking. Owners & staff all very good, we would've loved to stay longer & would be very happy to return & hope to soon!

24/09/2024: The croissant and waffle we had here for breakfast were absolutely fine and reasonably priced. The lady at the counter was extremely friendly (in fact, one of the friendliest I have seen in Normandy!). The coffee was over-priced for the quality and serving size, but they are all overpriced in Mont Saint Michel, so it is actually normal in context. I have nothing bad to say about this place and would return.

10/05/2024: Très décevant ! Repas bof, peut faire mieux et le personnel pas du tout professionnel !! Pour un samedi soir, mis dehors à 22h00, même pas proposé de dessert ni café ! Je ne recommande pas du tout !

20/08/2024: Pour avoir réservé une table à 13 h le serveur se prenant pour le responsable d’établissement nous fait revenir à 13 h 25 pour ne pas avoir de table réservation faite pour 11 personnes avec nos grands parents habitués de cet établissement Visiblement on préfère les touristes que la clientèle locale Restaurant à éviter

19/08/2024: Service médiocre, personnel pas agréables nous ne sommes que des touristes . Pas besoin pour eux que l'on revienne et le repas n'a rien fait pour compenser la médiocre présentation. Coca a température ambiante, le repas tapé dans l assiettes sans garniture ni même une feuille de salade. Frites toutes môle et grasse. En résumé si il y a de la place autres part allez-y . Adresse à éviter et pas bon marché.

01/09/2024: Nous sommes arrivés sous réservation un soir avec des amies. Nous sommes accueilli par le patrons, nous lui signalons que la Clim etait trop forte, cela le déranger de nous changer de table sachant qu il restait des table de libres . Ensuite, je commande moules frites, mais au moment du debarrassage, le serveur renversé la gamelle de moule et son jus sur moi ! Pas d excuse , pas de geste commercial rien. Étant une local .... je reste hésitante.

28/09/2024: Lovely place with fast and friendly service. We had Croque Monsieur as an afternoon snack with some wine. They have some outside seating in the sun. Thanks, we had a lovely meal.

03/10/2025: Delicious restaurant tested last night with a skewer of scallops cooked to perfection. Short menu to guarantee freshness of the products. Truly impeccable service, so it should be highlighted! Furthermore, the restaurant is absolutely clean!
