07/09/2026: Perhaps we would have had a better experience with reservations? They seemed dismayed that we didn't have reservations and reluctantly sat us at a table right by the road. Service was extremely slow and the food was just okay. I also think they were annoyed that we shared a dish. We really don't like over eating and we don't like wasting food, and when you are traveling you can't really do leftovers so...🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, it just wasn't a great vibe.

27/08/2026: Beautifully and centrally located. Very attentive service. Absolutely reasonable prices, especially for the daily specials. The food is very good and the portions are perfectly adequate. The seating is a bit cramped, but that's typical for Normandy...😊

26/08/2026: I'm writing this review before even eating! I was lucky enough to receive a very warm welcome at the door 😍 The girls are super friendly and incredibly kind. This restaurant was a new discovery for me, and I especially want to thank Jennyfer for her big smile and her very pleasant service.

19/08/2026: €15 for a full meal with a drink. This includes a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert. Our clientele is varied, but includes many tradespeople, laborers, truck drivers, and farmers.

21/08/2026: While on holiday in Cherbourg, we were won over by the Gascon and mountain galettes – absolutely delicious! But a word of advice: reserve them in advance, otherwise… you're unlikely to get to enjoy them.

23/09/2026: Great little restaurant that we really love! It was our second time here and honestly, it's still just as good. The waiter was super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I had a pizza which was absolutely delicious, definitely homemade. My companions ordered savory buckwheat crepes which were also very good, and then sweet crepes for dessert, which were just as delicious. It's definitely becoming our go-to spot when we're on vacation in the area 😄 A great place, we'll definitely be back!

01/09/2026: A small but excellent restaurant that also caters to celiacs. We made a reservation about a week in advance, mentioning that one of us has celiac disease and therefore needs to eat gluten-free. They assured us that this wouldn't be a problem and that we should simply mention it again when we arrived. They have a small but regularly changing menu, offering a choice of 4-5 dishes each for the appetizer, main course, and dessert for a three-course meal. Our celiac partner still had a choice of 2 out of 4 appetizers, all 5 main courses, and 3 out of 4 desserts. If there's any doubt, a course can be adapted (e.g., by omitting the topping of various seeds if there's any uncertainty). The meat/fish for the main courses is always freshly prepared over the fire in the wood-burning stove. We always enjoy the food immensely, and it has been an absolute must for us on every vacation for years. This year (2026) is the first time we've had celiac disease on board, and it's been an absolutely positive experience in terms of "eating out" for our celiac daughter.
