06/09/2026: Superb restaurant... refined cuisine, good atmosphere and very pleasant service.

01/09/2026: We came to eat as a family (2 adults and 2 young children) during our vacation. We hadn't booked, and it was drizzling... The restaurant was almost full, there was one table left outside, so we decided to try it. We literally started our meal in a light rain. We were quickly moved under a pergola where we continued eating in the drizzle... Well, it's by far the best restaurant we ate at during our vacation (15 years of vacations, I should add). What a culinary experience (quality homemade food), top-notch service, smiles, and good cheer from the staff, and CLEAN restrooms!!! In short, I highly recommend it!!! Next time we'll book and the weather will be nice 🤣🤣🤣

23/08/2026: Avoid at all costs. We knew the previous owners. Their menu was excellent. We discovered the new crêperie. Immediately, the manager criticized the previous owners, praising the quality of his own products. The implication was that everyone else's were bad. The profiteroles were served without chocolate sauce, even though it's a key ingredient in the recipe. To get it, you had to pay extra—outrageous! The crêpes had very little filling and tasted like cardboard.

22/08/2026: Great little crêperie! A warm welcome, friendly staff, a small fireplace for grilling meat, and excellent galettes and crêpes. I highly recommend this crêperie; remember to book in advance.

09/06/2026: We went on June 1st with my mother-in-law. EXCELLENT TABLE... beautiful tablecloths and napkins. Quick service. Excellent presentation and freshness of the products... the pork chop à la Normande was meltingly tender... the Vichy carrots were delicate and melt-in-your-mouth tender... The rhubarb tart with a flan. The service was perfect and pleasant. The price is a set menu, typical of a roadside diner... many regulars... There's no wait... Thank you for this lovely experience.

22/05/2026: We had a very good meal, excellent homemade food and friendly staff.

04/09/2026: I knew this place in the 90s; the meals seemed more substantial then (now: tiny plates). My slices of leg of lamb were undercooked, cold, and without sauce... a few fries served without salad (not even an option). A very good glass of cider (at €5.50, over 36 francs, it should be good!). In short, a total of €22 that wasn't justified, in my opinion. Ordering at the bar; to sum it up, they greet you very politely and give you a menu, but then you're on your own...

20/04/2026: From the moment we arrived, we were charmed: the small park at the entrance, the warm welcome, the room—everything was perfect. The tranquility, the view of the marina, the comfortable bedding, and the breakfast (featuring local products) made for a truly delightful weekend in Barneville-Carteret. The owners are attentive and offer excellent advice.

18/05/2026: A 5-day/4-night stay at this incredible establishment. We had room 33 in the farmhouse and felt so comfortable there. The view is breathtaking. The room's layout invites calm and relaxation, but the region is full of places to visit. The restaurant offers a single, blind tasting menu. It's unusual, but we enjoyed the experience. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked: fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, brioche and homemade cake, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, scrambled eggs... Enough to satisfy any appetite! We will gladly return.

17/08/2026: A fantastic brunch! The menu of savory and sweet dishes is varied, and everything looks delicious. It's hard to choose! I really appreciated that they could customize the brunch menu to our dietary preferences. We all left feeling satisfied and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The vegetarian options are truly delicious.

16/08/2026: A lovely experience with friends to enjoy Granville. The menu is varied and delicious. The service is welcoming! I especially enjoyed the cheddar egg muffin and the pecan pie.

10/08/2026: Passing through Saint-Vaast this weekend, we were looking for a restaurant for Saturday evening. We booked for 8:30 pm and received a warm welcome. We were given a choice of indoor or outdoor tables. The owner presented us with the small menu (a guarantee of freshness), explaining the origin of the shellfish and fish. We ordered an aperitif and then went straight to our main course: haddock fillet with saffron rice, baby vegetables, and curry sauce (the sauce was served separately, so the fish wasn't swimming in it). It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared—a real treat. We skipped dessert and opted to share a cheese plate. No problem at all; we were brought two place settings. The cheeses were perfectly aged, and the owner even poured us two glasses of red wine at our request. To finish, we ordered a long coffee. Again, the hot water was served separately for making your own Americano—a small but thoughtful touch, and the coffee was good. The owner is a smooth talker, in the best sense of the word. He loves his job and his restaurant, and he's generous with his knowledge but never intrusive or inappropriate. The staff was also excellent and attentive. The glass of white wine we ordered with our meal arrived a minute before the course, not at the end—again, it's a small detail, but it made a difference. In short, a very pleasant experience, right up until the bill. The owner felt we'd waited too long, which we didn't feel. This isn't fast food; you have to learn to live at a more relaxed pace. The two glasses of red wine were complimentary—classy. This is a restaurant that doesn't try to be something it's not, but does what it does very well. Thank you for a wonderful time.

24/08/2026: La Petite Gare is a great little café! The menu isn't anything extraordinary, but the atmosphere on the terrace makes everything enjoyable. Excellent draft beer and a fantastic Spritz.

28/08/2026: Very friendly staff, very warm welcome. A beautiful place and the meal was very good and very generous. We were greeted by the waitress Flavy with a smile; she was a very pleasant person. Thank you for the welcome and best wishes for the end of the season.

18/08/2026: We came for a drink and a cake. We waited and waited for someone to take our order. No one did; the waiter ignored us. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. And then the shopkeepers complain that downtown Cherbourg is becoming deserted.

02/09/2026: A delightful discovery when you want to get away from Mont Saint-Michel and the tourists. Delicious, homemade, and generous portions (I recommend the floating island dessert). Charming and humorous waiters. All at a very reasonable price.

09/06/2026: Pleasantly surprised by our takeout order! The service was incredibly friendly and the quality/price ratio was excellent; the burgers were fantastic. This place deserves to be better known. I highly recommend it.

24/05/2026: A pleasant and well-located inn for sightseeing. The owners are fantastic, offering a warm welcome and attentive service. The spacious room is very clean. The food is generous, delicious, and authentic. There's parking behind the establishment for motorcycles. It was a pleasure to return in the evenings after two days of sightseeing. 26/08/2026: The welcome in the restaurant was very cold, and the owner was extremely unfriendly. At the bar, the waitress seemed more concerned about her missing phone charger than about attending to the customers who were waiting!
