02/03/2026: I discovered this restaurant. Its concept of "open-faced sandwiches" at affordable prices is original—except for the oysters: only 4 plus a small glass of white wine for 10 euros... But everything else is varied, with generous portions, and the waitress is welcoming and friendly with a smile! Well located on the peninsula. I recommend it for a lunch or dinner break—original and very pleasant, almost like stepping out of a tourist trap!

28/02/2026: Nice atmosphere. Good value for money. Could be a bit cleaner. Cobwebs were hanging overhead. Don't look up. Lol. The food was a bit too exposed for my liking. Friendly, cheerful, and smiling staff.

16/09/2026: The welcome was as warm as ever. The dishes and desserts were beautifully presented and their flavors delighted our taste buds. A must-try! Well done to the team and thank you for the wonderful meal! 👍

30/08/2026: Not worth the price. The two dishes served at the table were good, but the buffet looked very cheap. The pancake toppings were left in their original containers with a spoon inside, and the drinks were simply placed on a table. For a brunch at this price, the presentation was disappointing. I would advise the restaurant owners to: - transfer the pancake sauces into nicer containers and add signs indicating their contents - serve the drinks at the table, even if they are unlimited, and do the same for the pancakes and pastries - set up a buffet area, which doesn't appear to have been arranged on two folding tables, and make it look more substantial (that's the whole point of a buffet, after all). As things stand, I think I would have been satisfied with my experience even if there hadn't been a buffet, at the same price. But since there was one, and it wasn't up to par, my experience is tainted. I wouldn't recommend this brunch to anyone I know.

02/09/2026: 5/5 Excellent restaurant to discover. Very friendly and warm welcome. Excellent cuisine, a real treat. To discover local specialties, this is an address to remember and share. Also recommended by the Petit Futé guide. The dining room is in the cool basement... ideal when it's hot outside.

30/08/2026: Excellent experience at this traditional Lyonnais restaurant! We truly enjoyed everything from start to finish. The dishes were delicious, beautifully prepared, and of very high quality. Everything we tasted was absolutely excellent! We also loved the interior decor; you're completely immersed in the atmosphere of a genuine period restaurant. The service was also very good, and the entire meal went perfectly. A wonderful discovery and a place we wholeheartedly recommend! We will definitely be back.

24/09/2026: From the moment you step inside, you feel at ease. The warm atmosphere is created by the decor and the friendly waitresses; Pauline goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. The cocktails, drinks, and platters make you want to order more. It's the perfect place to spend a lovely evening with friends, as a couple, or even alone, as the regulars will make you feel comfortable and help you enjoy a wonderful night out.

01/11/2025: It's always a pleasure to eat at La Bergerie! The atmosphere is friendly, and the owner's (and chef's, of course) passion truly shines through in the food, thanks to a wide variety of fresh, homemade dishes. The quality cuisine is a welcome change from the usual potato gratin, fries, or green beans! A restaurant like no other.

08/05/2026: What a shame, this beautiful restaurant isn't what it used to be. The meal was mediocre, and the service was no longer up to par—served from the left, nothing on the table, not even a placemat, and the staff seemed to be having a good time, etc. It's the restaurant where I proposed to my wife 25 years ago, and we loved returning every year, but we were truly shocked by such a change. It used to have a Michelin star, but that's no longer the case. It's such a shame; year after year we've noticed a decline in quality, but this time it's too much. You replied that you couldn't find any reviews on my profile because I don't usually leave them. My in-laws always make the reservations, but we won't be going back. We expressed our dissatisfaction in person, and we must have passed it on to you.

26/07/2026: Went for brunch and the food was genuinely great – would come back for that alone. Coffee was fine, nothing special, just a solid cup. Unfortunately the service brought the experience down: our waitress was curt and seemed annoyed by basic requests... Nothing dramatic, just an unwelcoming vibe that took the shine off an otherwise good meal. Food quality is there; hoping it was an off day for the staff.

The meal was delicious, with high-quality ingredients and wonderful flavors (Prawn Risotto / Andouillette & Chocolate Fondant / Citrus French Toast). A great find, we'll definitely be back! 29/08/2026: In my opinion, this is the bar you absolutely must visit when you arrive in Tarare. Full of stories, the owner knows the history of Tarare inside and out. Don't hesitate to ask him about the history of the area opposite the Madeleine church, a truly exceptional site. The coffee is incredibly smooth and delicious. I highly recommend it if you're passing through Tarare; I was genuinely surprised by this family-run café.
