28/09/2024: A truly subpar experience, the macaroni gratin should be avoided because it is classic and uninteresting. A decent starter and a good espresso, that’s all.

28/09/2024: Very disappointed for this second experience in the space of three years. Plain plates, even though they were stamped with the name of the brasserie, dinner upstairs in rooms that make you think you are alone. Fries on the side are not possible. You have to constantly ask several times for water and bread. On the other hand, very friendly waiters and waitresses.

26/09/2024: We came with my godson in mid-August. Nothing to complain about the service and the friendliness of the waiter who was great! Pleasant and smiling. However, despite a tempting menu, the waffle was disappointing. The sauce and the waffle were cold and the salad very damaged. Damage.

07/12/2024: A ÉVITER, entre la vaisselle qui n’est pas nettoyé correctement, les cuissons de la viande qui ne sont pas celle demandés, le prix des boissons qui sont pus que excessifs (6€ minimum pour du soft et 8€ le litre d’eau), les desserts qui nous sont servis sans avoir commandés et qui sont stockés dans le passage du hall d’entrée avec les gâteaux qui sont posés sur le dessus à l’air libre. Niveau hygiène c’est épouvantable. Qu’en au service, pas top mais compréhensible avec le nombre de couvert qu’il y a pour si peut de place dans le restaurant (tous les uns sur les autres). Pour en avoir fais d’autre sur le secteur allez voir ailleurs.

27/09/2024: 2 experiences: September 20, nothing except pasta gratin rich in undercooked fresh flour and very soft pasta September 25, wait 50 minutes, not very pleasant welcome, overworked but friendly waiter, dish of the day confit lamb shoulder replaced by chicken whose sauce base has an interesting appearance but why did you add fresh vinegar (Lyonnaise style) without take the time to let it evaporate. dessert good. 25/09/2024: Pros ; The mushroom soup was very tasty as well as the wine, atmosphere is nice but maybe a bit too cramped, potato’s are pretty good but basic Cons : the pasta “gratin” was wayyy too cooked it was nearly nauseating because the pasta was melting and forming a strange sort of paste. You could clearly taste that it had been reheated multiple times. No vegetables accompanied our meal so a bit disappointing as well. Service was mediocre

31/01/2026: Definitely one of the worst places in Croix-Rousse. Two disastrous experiences here. We definitely do not recommend this place.

09/11/2025: The fries were good, but the service was unprofessional; they were just thrown on the table. The drinks weren't great. The salt shakers weren't cleaned.

02/07/2025: I must admit that this is not my best culinary experience. Strange couscous with uncooked merguez. A very unusual taste!!!

10/04/2025: While passing through Caluire, I discovered this good restaurant thanks to the Google Maps review. The couscous is super good. First time in this restaurant, but frankly I don't regret it. I will not fail to return there on occasion. Since this review it's the 3rd time and still just as satisfied.

17/01/2026: Overall, disappointed. Food: The steak tartare was good but quite basic. The fries were very good, although a bit too salty. Decent portion size. Service: The McDonald's vending machines are more polite and friendly. The food arrived very quickly, but then we had to wait 40 minutes for our plates to be cleared, and we didn't have time for dessert or coffee, even though we were there for over an hour and a half... a shame for them.

27/12/2025: Some reviews mention "generous" portions, seriously? The portions were meager, presented sadly on unappetizing plates... Frozen vegetables and fries, a supposedly 200g ribeye steak, and of course, all for a hefty bill... As for the toilets, no comment...

18/12/2024: Excellent repas dans ce bouchon haut de gamme. Un menu qui ne laisse pas sur sa faim et des plats qui nous ont regalé. Avec un service très agréable, plein d'humour et de bon conseil (merci notamment à Lenaig).

10/12/2024: Mal reçu, le réceptionniste ne trouvait pas notre réservation faite par téléphone nous a renvoyes; j'ai cherché sur mon téléphone la preuve de ma réservation mais ne l'ai pas trouvee; toujours avec la personne qui n ous disait de partir; finalement une vraie professionnelle est arrivée et à trouvé rapidement notre réservation...pas d'excuses présentées....mais c'est vrai qu'en 2024 ça ne se fait plus; je n'avais pas reçu de confirmation car mon adresse mail était fausse....nous avons été placé dans une descente pour fauteuil roulant avec beaucoup de difficultés pour arriver à tirer les chaises pour s'installer alors qu'il y avait des tables vides à côté....bref j'ai eu honte par rapport aux personnes avec lesquelles j'étais venues....je ne recommanderais plus votre restaurant.

15/12/2024: we'll start at the beginning. a CATASTROPHIC organization! we had 3 people on the phone, 3 different reservation speeches. a deposit of €90 to give, a reservation of dishes by email, for a table of 17, which we design but which we only know 3-4 days before, in the end an email which was of no use since a dish was missing, and they were confused about taking the order. friends we had a raclette, a satisfying quarter of a wheel, but then the charcuterie! at the level of St Etienne in league 1, disgusting! a very, very close resemblance to that of Carrefour… WEIRD? I DON'T BELIEVE! for the rest, Tartiflette, Croziflette, andouillette gratin, it was very good even if it was necessary to fight to get a leaf of salad with the dish.. if you are looking for friendly service with a smile? don't go too low, you'll only find grumpy dwarves who are unhappy about having to do a job for which it's not difficult to have respect, and to be at least friendly to customers. at the time of payment, the 90€ deposit was not removed from the bill, fortunately we were vigilant while we were dealing with professionals, and normally regloss people, but that was not the case. case. a note of 700€, without having even a gesture from the boss! We're not looking at that at all, because it must be automatic, but it really represents the lamentable mentality of the restaurant. the quality of the dish was present, but we will not return there.

12/12/2024: Having been seated for over an hour, we were still waiting for the meal to begin, but once served it was very delicious and the service was quicker.

08/12/2025: The restaurant is awful inside. The toilets are filthy, the television is covered in dust… For such a prime location, this restaurant has enormous potential. To our surprise, the food was excellent. The staff who served us were very friendly, but there were some unacceptable details for a restaurant: there were four of us and only two plates were set; we had to ask for the other two… We ordered three steaks and were given ordinary table knives, impossible to cut the meat with. We had to ask for proper knives, something that should be obvious in the service. In short: very good food, friendly staff, but a lack of attention to detail, as well as poor cleanliness and decor.

08/12/2025: We came for the Christmas lights. We were very surprised by the warm welcome and friendliness of the staff, especially considering the negative reviews. We ate well, and the prices weren't excessive. The fries were delicious. And of course, the food next door was great too.

07/12/2025: Absolutely fantastic! On music nights, we were greeted with a smile. The food arrived very quickly, and to top it all off, it was delicious! The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend it!
