07/03/2026: On several occasions, the pints served seemed significantly smaller than expected. A pint is normally 50 cl, and it would be appreciated if the proportions were accurate. When you pay for a pint, you simply expect to receive the advertised quantity. Furthermore, the service could be more friendly and attentive to customers. These are essential elements for a truly enjoyable experience. This comment is not meant to be aggressive, but rather clear and constructive, in the hope that these aspects will be improved.

16/02/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this place. Besides having an unpleasant waiter who has absolutely no manners (no hello, no thank you), the café is filthy, there were ants on the tables, the ashtrays were full when we arrived, and the toilets were dirty. When we asked for our table to be cleaned, the waiter didn't even apologize for the state of the table and didn't change the ashtrays. The waiter was also on his phone the entire time, with his hood up and his hair down; I even found a phone in my hot chocolate!

03/03/2026: Nice decor, pleasant concept. Very pleasant service and food. As for the food and drinks, nothing extraordinary, very simple and basic, but still effective; it's not what would make us come back.

17/03/2026: We spent one night at the Hôtel L’Ermitage, and frankly, the current 3.9/5 rating on Google doesn't reflect our experience. We had booked the Belvédère room, which offers an absolutely incredible view of the Monts d’Or and Lyon. The setting is calm, peaceful, and truly magnificent—a real haven of tranquility. Upon arrival, we had a drink on the restaurant terrace, bathed in sunshine: a very pleasant way to start our stay. We then had the relaxation area to ourselves, allowing us to truly unwind, exactly what we were looking for. In the evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant: excellent cuisine, discreet and pleasant service. We had a wonderful evening. The next morning, breakfast was a very pleasant surprise: a well-organized buffet with a high-quality savory selection (which is quite rare and worth mentioning), featuring organic and seasonal products. The desserts were also excellent: pastries, delicious bread, praline brioche, organic products, and a superb homemade pear compote. We were able to enjoy the relaxation area one last time before our departure. The early check-out before noon is a real plus, allowing you to fully enjoy the morning. Of course, having a professional eye for the restaurant industry ourselves, we noticed a few imperfections, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the relaxation area (chewing gum and hair were found on the edge of the jacuzzi upon our arrival, and these hadn't been cleaned up by our departure). The facilities also show some signs of age. However, this didn't spoil our stay in any way. The staff was lovely from beginning to end, and the overall experience remains very positive. We loved our stay, so kudos to the team, and we will most likely be back next month.

14/03/2026: Quite disappointed by this otherwise well-known hotel. The reception wasn't very welcoming; the person was on the phone for at least five minutes without telling us they'd be there in a few minutes. The room was nice enough, but the floor wasn't clean, there was only one large towel for two people, and no phone to contact reception. The pool is tiny, with just two sun loungers practically next to each other, water everywhere, and no one to even mop it up. The spa was very nice! Breakfast was very good with a magnificent view, but forget about a friendly welcome and a smile from the staff—they must not be paid for that! Would I recommend it? No! There are so many better options elsewhere for the same price.

23/12/2025: Really nice, the food is good, and what a view!

16/02/2026: We went for Valentine's Day and had a very good meal. The set menu was perfect (€29): two choices for the starter, main course, cheese, and dessert. The welcome and service were impeccable.

15/02/2026: Avoid at all costs. If you enjoy iron filings, you'll be in heaven. No apologies, and certainly no attempt at compensation.

31/01/2026: Definitely one of the worst places in Croix-Rousse. Two disastrous experiences here. We definitely do not recommend this place.

09/11/2025: The fries were good, but the service was unprofessional; they were just thrown on the table. The drinks weren't great. The salt shakers weren't cleaned.

01/04/2026: The first time wasn't great, but the second time was downright disgusting! The onion gratin was awful! The chicken tasted like it had been sitting in a refrigerator (I know what I'm talking about). Avoid this place at all costs!

03/11/2025: The cigarette vendor was about as friendly as a prison guard. Actually, no, a prison guard is friendlier. Anyway, at least he had the reference number for my pack of cigarettes, something the prison guard certainly wouldn't have had (although they do get deliveries by drone now 🤔 we should ask Sarko how that works).

21/10/2025: A birthday, an evening with friends, it's the perfect place. The owners and staff treat you with great kindness and care. We had great evenings. Their salmon toast with truffles is excellent. A spot to absolutely discover.

04/02/2026: We ate at this brasserie after the Calo concert and we were disappointed; the fries were awful, in 40 years of cooking I've never seen anything like it!

27/01/2026: Everything is excellent! 👌 The service is perfect! The food is perfect! The staff is perfect! It's always a pleasure to come and eat and have a drink at your place; we feel very comfortable here. I highly recommend it!

19/12/2024: Waiters who flirt heavily with customers are no longer possible. Extremely poor quality beer for an excessive price, (meteor beer). The place pretends to be Pseudo punk but place run by dubious people, who think of making money without real value. I don't recommend it if you're looking for an alternative bar in Lyon.

13/12/2024: Very good value for money for a late dinner after a show, a stone's throw from the city hall metro station.

04/03/2026: Delicious dish of the day. (Chuck steak with fries and salad) The chef was everywhere (in the kitchen, washing up, and serving), and the quality of the food was clearly outstanding. (The chuck steak might not look very appetizing in the photo, but it was excellent.) Well done to her! The waiter was also professional, efficient, and friendly.

03/02/2026: Set lunch menu on a weekday. No complaints about the service or the welcome. However, the dish was barely edible, and the portions were ridiculously small.
