22/09/2026: While in Castres for a court-ordered expert assessment, my colleague and I enjoyed a set menu for €23, a fresh, high-quality, bistro-style meal. The quality-to-price ratio was exceptional; I highly recommend it.

17/10/2026: We had a truly wonderful time at our table. We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance, just passing through. From appetizer to dessert, it was pure bliss! Everything was beautifully prepared. The Saint Marcellin cheese, the beef chuck (prepared like a beef bourguignon), and the lemon tart (on puff pastry!) were all excellent. Kudos to the warm welcome, the service, and the delicious food. A place to remember for next time and to recommend to everyone. P.S.: The dining room is lovely! And it's best to make a reservation.

17/10/2026: Discovered by chance during our travels. We were incredibly lucky to get a table. And what a table it was! Starter, main course (a beef chuck steak bourguignon style that was to die for), and an extraordinary lemon meringue tart. Passing through Mazamet without planning to eat there is a serious mistake ☺.

07/06/2026: It's a shame the service and ice cream don't live up to the location! The ice cream isn't good and is topped with cheap, canned whipped cream, all served with appalling service... Disappointed! It used to be much better...

12/05/2026: The chicken supreme on the menu was a very dry half-thigh, clearly cooked the day before and reheated in the microwave. The fries were soggy. I asked for extra sauce, but it was bland and sickeningly sweet, like a supermarket salad dressing—nothing homemade. The daily special was an overcooked pork chop. We left hungry and didn't even bother ordering dessert. There were very few customers, which explains it.

03/10/2026: I dined alone, and on the menu for me this evening: a raspberry Kir Royal to start, followed by a glass of Labarthe with my prepared steak tartare, accompanied by fries and a side salad. For dessert, I opted for the "café gourmand," which consisted of coffee (of course!) with banana crème brûlée, praline mousse, fig sabayon, and a scoop of strawberry ice cream: the perfect ending to the meal. The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic; the staff were kind and attentive. I would return without hesitation. After six months away from home, this was my first restaurant visit and my first evening out, and I think it will be every time. Aside from the food and the staff, parking is easy, access is convenient, the decor is lovely, and the music played throughout. There is an upstairs area, but I noticed that when we explained that we couldn't access it, the managers seated us downstairs. I didn't eat outside, but the terrace is very pleasant; I stepped out for a couple of minutes between my main course and dessert. Clearly the best restaurant in Castres in my opinion ✨ and to encourage them (good to know and important when needed), they accept card tips 😊

27/09/2026: I love good meat, but what a disappointment… Given the price and the restaurant's reputation, I was really expecting an exceptional ribeye steak. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all. The welcome wasn't particularly warm, and the service also left much to be desired (the young waiter wasn't very good at all). As for the meat, I found it very bland and, in my opinion, far from the quality one would expect at this price point. To top it all off, our table was wobbly… In short, a disappointing experience. I don't recommend this place, especially considering the prices.

03/10/2026: I had a very bad experience at this establishment. I was asked to leave the bar, and I left feeling disappointed and confused. I was very displeased with how the situation was handled. An establishment should be able to handle this kind of situation with respect and professionalism. This experience left me with a very bad impression and I have absolutely no desire to return. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this establishment.

17/09/2026: A superb place—cozy, cute, warm, and welcoming! My parents and I had afternoon tea there and ended up spending three hours! The people who greeted us were very friendly, kind, and had a great sense of humor! The desserts and drinks (smooth and delicious hot chocolate, and excellent pastries!) were incredible; it's truly rare to find something so good! Thank you for making this such a wonderful experience! We'll be back!

We spent two hours there, enjoying hot chocolates with plant-based milk and coffee, plus two cookies (one gluten-free and one regular) and a raspberry almond tart—everything was delicious. What wonderful energy! We left feeling refreshed. We'll be back to try your lunch menus and enjoy your pastries and drinks again. 09/10/2026: There are some places just waiting to be discovered. This little restaurant will win you over the moment you step inside. In a unique and welcoming setting, you can enjoy, like today, a delicious calf's head with gribiche sauce that will leave you speechless. A new dish is offered daily, attracting a loyal clientele. The waiter and the cook take excellent care of them. Honestly, it's worth the trip.
