01/07/2026: A warm welcome; we were asked if there was anything special we wanted for our visit. It was our wedding anniversary, and the dishes were marked with hearts on the rims of the plates to reflect this. The service was pleasant, with breaks throughout. And what can we say about the food? Beautiful colors, delicious, the servers were always smiling, and every dish was well described. A lovely time in a cozy setting. We highly recommend L’Epicurien.

03/10/2025: I had a fantastic solo dinner here. The chef/owner was so accommodating and made some great recommendations. I had foie gras to start and asked about what wine pairing to have. He said ideally a sweet wine but since it was a starter I opted for a rosé instead - however, when he brought out the foie gras, he also brought out a little pour of some sweet wine which was a lovely touch! Definitely recommend, it's a little out of the main area but that makes it even better!

03/07/2026: A very good time. Restaurant tucked away in a courtyard, excellent dishes. Surf and turf: sweetbreads, scallops, and fechoulette.

30/06/2026: Excellent, inventive, and refined cuisine. The waiter gave us great wine recommendations. The courtyard is lovely and peaceful, but you have to look for it. Don't hesitate to venture down the corridor of the real estate agency to discover this hidden gem!

20/05/2026: The hotel is very well located. It's beautifully decorated with spacious and comfortable rooms. The bathroom is very large and has a separate shower and bathtub. It's necessary to reserve a parking space in advance if you want to be sure of parking at the hotel.

11/07/2026: For the first time, we ate outside. I was surprised that on such a sweltering evening, there were so few people on the terrace. The food on the €35 set menu (the complete menu without wine and aperitif) was excellent. We'll definitely go back, but you should hurry there because you won't regret it. It's the best place to eat in Gaillac.

07/06/2026: It's a shame the service and ice cream don't live up to the location! The ice cream isn't good and is topped with cheap, canned whipped cream, all served with appalling service... Disappointed! It used to be much better...

12/05/2026: The chicken supreme on the menu was a very dry half-thigh, clearly cooked the day before and reheated in the microwave. The fries were soggy. I asked for extra sauce, but it was bland and sickeningly sweet, like a supermarket salad dressing—nothing homemade. The daily special was an overcooked pork chop. We left hungry and didn't even bother ordering dessert. There were very few customers, which explains it.

15/07/2026: The place is beautiful and a must-see for culture lovers and those seeking a great atmosphere (the terrace and the small bookstore are definitely worth a visit). As for the food, it was a disappointment: €16.50 for a plate of just a little salad, a mini brick pastry, and a touch of hummus. Even though the bread was good quality, there were only three slices for two people, so much so that we had to get some from a neighboring table. Expect to pay an extra €3 if you want to finish on a sweet note with a dessert.

15/04/2026: A truly beautiful and unique place! A very warm welcome, superb rooms with a lovely view! Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant! So, to add to my review from October, the welcome is still as warm and friendly as ever, the place is still as pleasant, but what more can I say about the meal I was just served than that it was one of my most memorable culinary experiences!

29/03/2026: Excellent cuisine served in a magnificent setting with a beautiful view of the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We highly recommend it.

22/07/2026: I ate there in 2019, and again last week. The experience was completely different. The quality has declined. Oh well. It's still a good place to spend some time on the terrace with a glass of wine.

21/07/2026: M.I.A: Best Interlude in Albi. Mia is also the name of the charming young woman who served us dishes worthy of this restaurant's reputation. And in particular, a delicious and surprising wine called "Tandem".
