Et bien 🤩 quelle merveilleuse découverte, une cuisine gastronomique, originale et délicieuse accompagné d’un service accueillant et souriant ! Je recommande et nous y retournerons sans hésitation.

29/09/2024: At the end of September 2024, I spent a few days in Avignon and I chose the Mercure Avignon Center Palais des Papes. Essentially for its central location, next to the famous Palais des Papes, and also for its Privilege room with terrace. For the rest, I expected Mercure standards: friendly welcome, modern and functional room, simple but complete breakfast, concrete architecture style "60s-70s and often a good bar/restaurant (not this time because it is not there is no bar/restaurant in the hotel but we invite you to go to the Mercure Center Pont d'Avignon - just a stone's throw away - to have a welcome drink there; I was so well received there that I am there; returned for dinner and the meal at Racine was very good - thank you to the Racine team for these good times). But, the pinnacle was my Privilege room with this beautiful large terrace overlooking the Place du Palais and the Palais des Papes. Unbelievable, rarely seen, the most beautiful terrace in the very center of Avignon! Incredible, moving, edifying - I had the feeling of being able to touch the Palace -, impressive, inspiring, ... In short, an exceptional feeling of feeling like you were in the Vatican, on St. Peter's Square and on your own terrace! Unforgettable memory! And thank you again to the entire Mercure team for their kindness and helpfulness.

26/09/2024: After a very warm welcome on arrival, certainly a somewhat cramped room but the building is old... A desk was missing but at least a chair. We are to the right of the Papal Palace so a 3 minute walk from the congress is what I was looking for. We are right in the center with restaurants to go out. Public parking with a 20% discount

16/12/2024: Nice, well-equipped establishment, very good restaurant and good value for money. Minuses: not enough deckchairs, all taken, and very disappointing massage (20 minutes effective instead of the 30 minutes purchased because 6/7 minutes late, stopping 2/3 minutes early, and massage itself too soft)

04/12/2024: Invité par mon ami chef cuisinier, j'avais conseillé ce restaurant sur les bonnes notes du site. Mauvaise pioche!!! Sur 2 plats, un était tout à fait bon mais l'autre, un produit de la mer, sentait tout simplement le produit avarié. Erreur de ma part, j'ai voulu attendre notre serveur attitré pour lui faire ma réclamation. Malheureusement nous avons, entre temps, été débarrassé par une serveuse différente. Celle- ci à d'ailleurs cru en voyant l'assiette quasiment plaine, que nous n'avions pas fini. Lorsque j'en ai parlé au serveur de notre table, il nous a simplement ignoré. Quant au "responsable" (pour qu'il ne crois pas que c'était du marchandage, j'ai payé avant de lui parlé de mon mécontentement ) il n'a pas cherché à comprendre et s'en foutait royalement. Évidemment, le restaurant est bondé de touristes en cette saison. Je conçois que le patron s'en foute de la réclamation d'une table de 2. Pourtant c'est les gens comme nous qui le faisons vivre toute l'année.

24/11/2024: Pause déjeuner à L isle sur la sorgue. Sans réservation nous avons pu avoir une table pour déjeuner ce midi. Acceuil très sympa ,le personnel est agréable. Une carte variée et des prix raisonnable. Assiettes gourmandes et copieuses.Un régal.A conseiller.

18/09/2024: While looking for a place to eat at 3 p.m., we tried here, on the terrace. If you're looking for a place to have a snack, that's fine. Crepes/galettes are not cheap (15€ even for veg). The complete crepe costs 11€. And the staff was pleasant. The interior is nice, though, to try when the kitchen is officially open.

02/10/2024: A cute, welcoming restaurant, recommended by our host Frédéric de Cabrières d'Avignon guesthouse, excellent cuisine to discover. Succulent stew and duck breast. An address to keep.

24/09/2024: The excellent cuisine, the charming and picturesque location at the foot of Maubec, and near the GR6 for hikers. The only downside is the acoustics of the large room when there are slightly noisy groups.

15/11/2024: One of the only restaurants that was not full on the day of our visit to Gordes, we had seen some Google reviews but decided to form our own opinion. We were seated at the very back of the restaurant near the kitchens and we didn't have a very good time. The cook and the waitress (I think both owners of the establishment?) were arguing and we heard everything, the cutlery and dishes were thrown into plastic boxes right behind us which made a really unpleasant noise throughout of the meal. The cooking was simple, the products not exceptional, we unfortunately looked for seasoning in our salad for €18! Two stars all the same for the welcome and the smile during the service.

28/08/2024: L'accueil chaleureux, le cadre à la fois élégant et comme si l'on était dans une maison de famille, le service à la fois discret et extrêmement attentionné, sans parler de la cuisine tellement exquise... Nous avons pris le menu dégustation 5 plats qui est absolument un régal : une cuisine inventive mais pas trop, alliant la cuisine traditionnelle provençale et une touche tellement délicate de modernité, de saveurs surprenantes et inventives mais sans oublier les racines familiales. Ce fut un doux et merveilleux moment. Merci au chef Xavier Mathieu et à toute son équipe.

25/08/2024: Tout était exquis. Nous avons passé un moment fabuleux en ayant sélectionné le menu 4 plats. Bémol sur la proposition des vins dans l’accord mets et vins 2 verres qui manquait d’originalité et de longueur en bouche. On s’attend à plus d’audace pour faire résonner les plats d’avantage avec le vin. Merci !
