26/09/2026: Leaving Épinal, I thought I wouldn't find anywhere to have lunch! And then, by chance, I stumbled upon a fantastic family-run restaurant. 😀 The food is excellent and varied, the atmosphere is relaxing, and everything exudes authentic Vosges charm. A wonderful discovery, which I happily recommend! 😊

15/08/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the hostel managers. We called 15 minutes beforehand to reserve a table for 10 people and were very well received. The buffet was varied and the food was really good; it was a nice change from what we usually eat. The setting is very pleasant; we had a large table all to ourselves in a private room… absolutely perfect! 👍 Thank you so much! ☺️

25/09/2026: Caesar salad that wasn't a Caesar salad at all... corn, prosciutto... The sugar crepe was served cold, we asked for it to be remade, it was reheated in the microwave and smelled like fish... inedible... And it was still added to the bill even though we pointed out it was inedible... A bit disappointed 😞

25/09/2026: A very pleasant stay at this hotel-restaurant! A friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with excellent value for money. The service is impeccable: the team is welcoming, attentive, and professional. The establishment does have a slightly dated feel, but this also gives it a certain charm and it remains perfectly acceptable. A lovely place where you feel comfortable, which I gladly recommend!

10/08/2026: After 40 years of traveling, this is the first time I've been forced to sleep in my car! Rating 1.0 1.0 Nothing I don't usually book this type of accommodation. Knowing the Vosges region and only having 6 hours to spend there (getting up at 4 am), I booked. I arrived at 10 pm and left at midnight. The room was an absolute oven, 32 degrees Celsius in the evening. The only way to cool down was to open the window. The nightmare began. The room was above the kitchens, with the constant clatter of dishes until 11 pm. Worse still, it also overlooked the courtyard of the café next door, where groups of young people were shouting and laughing very loudly. It was impossible to sleep. At 11 pm, from the window, I asked these young people to respect the hotel guests. Snickers, insults... it continued. At 11:10 PM, I finally decided to close the window. This barely reduced the noise, as the windows are very old and single-glazed. The atmosphere became stifling. I went downstairs at 11:30 PM to report the noise and ask for it to stop. The manager then said she would speak to the bar (knowing that there was still a lot of noise from both the restaurant and the bar). At 11:50 PM, nothing had stopped. I gathered my few belongings and went downstairs to return the keys. There, the owner displayed absolutely astounding bad faith. Her first reaction was to ask if the room had been paid for, even though the hotel service hadn't been provided since its primary purpose—to sleep—couldn't be fulfilled. She then claimed to have gone to the bar next door and that there was no more noise since the bar had closed. I then confronted her with the facts and asked her to come to the room. It was very clear from there that the young people were still there... She then stated that they were not making any noise and that the absolutely excessive and unhealthy heat was normal.

27/09/2026: What service, truly! Simply incredible! I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to start your day in a good mood. There's a red-haired bartender who is absolutely lovely and does a fantastic job. It's the first time I've seen someone manage to do so many things at once while still paying attention to each customer. And above all, she always keeps smiling, remains polite and pleasant with the customers; she's truly wonderful. We wish there were people like her everywhere! Kudos to the owner, excellent choice, you've found a gem! 😉 Best of luck to the whole team!

19/09/2026: I'm really disappointed. There were three of us, and one of us was on crutches. Since there were only tables on the pub side, we sat down at one so she could sit more easily. A person came over and asked us to move to the pub tables. We calmly explained our situation, and she was understanding, which we appreciated. A little later, another gentleman, tall and bearded, came over and asked us the same thing. We explained the situation again, but unfortunately, his attitude and tone seemed particularly aggressive. Even after our friend ordered to comply with the establishment's rules, we still felt that our presence was a nuisance. We completely understand that there are rules to follow, but it's perfectly possible to explain them with more courtesy and understanding, especially when someone has difficulty getting around. So we left very disappointed with this experience. We simply hope that our feedback will be taken into account so that other customers are welcomed with more respect and kindness. Unfortunately, given this reception, this will be our first and, sadly, last time visiting your establishment.

18/10/2026: I came back after the change of ownership to see if the restaurant was still nice, but unfortunately, we didn't have a very good experience. The burgers were good, however, the steak tartare was cut way too large, the salad was very bland, the advertised 450g of meat... well, let's just say it was a joke 😂, and the potatoes were undercooked. The waiter was very friendly, but unfortunately, the service was far too slow. Two hours for five courses in a half-empty restaurant. We left without ordering dessert or coffee, and no one seemed to mind. We unfortunately won't be returning.

13/09/2026: We booked this restaurant for five people on a Saturday night and, unfortunately, we had a particularly disappointing experience. The menu was already quite limited, and the waiter quickly informed us that they were out of chicken and that it wasn't possible to order beef tartare either. The menu was therefore considerably reduced from the outset. But the unpleasant surprises didn't end there. One person wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail, but two of the necessary ingredients were missing, making it impossible to order the desired cocktail. When ordering a burger, we were offered a choice between two cheeses: Munster or Reblochon. I wanted the Reblochon, but again, it was unavailable. What's particularly regrettable is that it was a Saturday night, a time when one would reasonably expect the restaurant to be well-stocked. Given the number of missing items, we find it hard to understand why no solution was found. When several essential items are unavailable, it might have been possible, given the circumstances, to urgently purchase some of the necessary products in order to offer customers at least a minimally complete menu. Especially since the restaurant was practically empty that evening. We're not talking about an establishment overwhelmed by an exceptional influx of customers or a stock shortage of a single product: several dishes, ingredients, and drinks were simply unavailable. I eat out very regularly, particularly for work, and this is honestly the first time I've encountered a situation like this. A shortage can obviously happen, that's understandable. But when the unavailability accumulates to the point where several options have to be forgone, it becomes particularly frustrating for the customer. The most unfortunate aspect of all this is that we had fond memories of this establishment, which used to be truly excellent. It's all the more disappointing, then, to see this decline in the quality of the experience. Ultimately, between an already limited menu, numerous unavailable items, drinks that were impossible to prepare, and choices listed on the menu but ultimately unavailable, we had a very unpleasant experience. We left feeling completely disregarded as customers. Unfortunately, this experience has absolutely no desire to return, which is a real shame considering our previous impression of this restaurant.

14/01/2026: The welcome was pleasant, but the service was a bit slow (40 minutes for the first course) and the dishes were disappointing, dry and the meat tough. We won't be back.

05/10/2026: We've known this restaurant for a few years now. We go there once or twice a year as a family. Unfortunately, while the service was quite good three or four years ago, we were disappointed last time. We went back yesterday anyway, and the disappointment was even worse. With our bottle of champagne, we were served some kind of dry toast with a bit of very basic pâté and three slices of gherkin! It was downright awful! You can get better food at a roadside diner! The dishes were relatively decent, but the garnish was exactly the same for both the beef and the sea bass. The owner wasn't even there. In short, it seems to be a downward spiral: the lower the quality, the fewer customers, and the fewer customers, the less money they have to offer quality service. It will end with closure or a sale. I know times are tough for restaurants right now.

28/08/2026: A complete and high-quality meal with exceptional service. A delightful lunchtime experience that I'll definitely repeat soon.

17/06/2026: It is set in a beautiful place at a pleasant lake with hills surrounding the campsite. Unfortunately we did not get a 4 star feeling. The grass was in bad quality we were placed next to some deserted caravans, and above all a sap beetle infestation made us leave early.

02/04/2026: Great place. Everything is nicely designed and clean. Slightly muddy in winter when it thaws.

18/08/2026: The quality of your products has changed a lot recently, but not the prices (average pâtés, smaller fruit tarts, and reduced quality and quantity of fillings in your pan bagnat sandwiches (tuna, chicken, tomato, egg, mayonnaise, or curry)). We are very disappointed because even the bread isn't what it used to be. You'll have to raise the bar.

20/09/2026: Everything took a very long time; the order wasn't taken until half an hour later. With the chicken skewer, there was only curry, mayo, or mustard. The chicken skewer was so dry that it was almost impossible to eat. When we complained, the response was a shrug. The pizza was decent, though. A lot of the crust was burnt.

19/09/2026: A very bad experience, especially for a €25 set menu. There was only one set menu, so lasagna was mandatory. Before eating, we asked two different people if the lasagna was homemade. Twice, we were told yes. Except that when we went to get our plates—because yes, you have to get up to get your food—we walked past the infamous aluminum trays… and at that point, it was hard not to have doubts. 😅 Once on the plate, the lasagna definitely didn't look homemade. And on the side: canned fruit salad, wine served in a plastic cup… For €25, that's a lot. And to top it all off, there was a problem with the card reader when we went to pay: the waiter got angry, talked down to us, and spoke as if the problem was our fault. Honestly, at €25 for the set menu, it's a rip-off, especially with the service where you have to go and get your own food and the frankly unpleasant welcome. Very disappointing from start to finish. Once was enough. Never again.

11/10/2026: The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly! I recommend them 1000%! And the food is delicious too 😊

11/10/2026: A little disappointed by the sandwich's light ingredients. The photos looked enticing, but the result was disappointing. Too little bacon, too little cheese, the lettuce was cooked, and the bread could be much better.

02/09/2026: I went by at 1 p.m. with my friend. I was looking inside the restaurant because it seemed empty, and suddenly a man at the bar yelled at me, saying it was closed. I politely replied, "Okay, no problem," and then asked about the opening hours so I could come back another time. This same man responded in a very disrespectful way that there were no set hours! If he doesn't want customers, he won't get any, but when you're in business, you have opening hours, and you answer politely without being aggressive. I never leave negative reviews, but this time I felt attacked, and it deserves a 1-star rating!

15/07/2026: What a surprise. Hidden right in the middle of the town. We had a delicious lunch. Highly recommended.
