10/06/2026: The atmosphere is very welcoming, but unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired. The set menu is offered at €25, a price that seems high to me considering the quality of the dishes served. For a starter, the Gascon salad was decent, but nothing special. For the main course, the fish with risotto was particularly bland, overcooked, and served in a rather small portion. Luckily, salt and pepper were available to add a little something extra. As for the desserts, they were also disappointing: the cake was very dry and lacked flavor. The whipped cream added a touch of indulgence, but wasn't enough to compensate. Furthermore, if you want a cheese platter or homemade ice cream, you have to add €4, which ultimately brings the set menu to €29. In the end, I don't think the value for money is satisfactory. It's a disappointing experience that, in my opinion, isn't particularly worth the trip.

29/06/2026: Avoid this pizzeria! Problems every time, they're always missing ingredients. I spoke to the owner on the phone, and he yelled at me because I was complaining about the pizzas. The extra charge for a large pizza is for an additional 4cm of dough without any toppings.

18/06/2026: Clowns? We ordered pizzas and the employee decided we had a reservation… Too early??? We ordered online and the service was a disaster! In short, great, change jobs and go work in an office so you can be free and undisturbed at 5:00 PM.

26/04/2026: Tonight, we tried the cuisine at the Hôtel de France for the first time. I wanted to take my wife because it had been a long time since we'd been able to spend some time alone together without the children. I was looking for a place, a moment, an atmosphere that felt like us. I found everything I was looking for there. A luxurious setting, but not overly so, a simple and pleasant interaction with everyone—from reception to service and the kitchen staff—a special moment that felt like home, like the Southwest of France. This "home" I'm talking about is even reflected in the food, the aroma, the flavor of a chicken and pea broth, just like when I was a child at my parents' house. Back then, during the chore of harvesting peas, the only joy for that little boy was eating a few peas from a burst pod and the leftover chicken broth from the previous day, seasoned with vermicelli, at lunchtime. The surprising taste of red mullet with a duck jus was a delightful surprise. And what about the quail, served with a variety of sauces, purée, basil emulsion, small mushrooms, onions, and more? In short, I'll stop listing all the dishes. The conclusion of this review is simple: thank you to the entire team at the Hôtel de France for this wonderful experience. See you soon.

The cooking is impeccable, the sauces enhance the dishes without ever overpowering them. And then the food arrived… Wow! Generous pizzas, incredibly topped, prepared with quality ingredients and true expertise. Every bite evokes the flavors of Italy, with perfectly cooked crust, flavorful ingredients, and a balance that makes you never want to see the last slice. A special mention goes to the Serrano ham platters: simply exceptional. Hearty, refined, and made with delicious ingredients, they are perfect for sharing… or almost, because you almost want to keep them all to yourself! A huge thank you for this quality and generosity, which are sadly becoming increasingly rare. What's also striking is that you leave feeling satisfied, fulfilled, and with the sense of having truly enjoyed yourself. Here, you don't just come to eat a pizza; you experience a place filled with conviviality, passion, and authenticity. In a world where everything is constantly accelerating, what a joy it is to discover an establishment where you feel that every customer truly matters. This attentiveness, this simplicity, and this quality deserve to be highlighted. Thank you to the entire team for this wonderful evening. The set menu consisted of a piece of pork loin with undercooked potatoes, a disgusting strawberry tart, bread that was three days old, and when I asked for ice cream instead of chocolate mousse, I got a scoop of strawberry ice cream.
