06/08/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday, just the two of us with our dog, and we were more than pleasantly surprised. First of all, the setting is superb. We ate on the terrace and were very comfortable, but the interior was also very attractive and looked cozy. The service was perfect; we had a very kind and professional waitress, which only enhanced our experience. And finally, regarding the menu and the dishes, everything was extremely good. My partner, who is vegetarian, had the set menu (very affordable, especially considering the quality of the ingredients) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a starter, main course, and dessert à la carte, and everything was excellent. We found the total bill to be very reasonable for the experience we had and what we ate. Furthermore, we were able to bring our dog without any problems, and they are also welcome inside. If you're looking for a great place to eat, then don't hesitate!

06/08/2026: Beautifully seated next to the castle, they have 1 beer from the local Ale is an Art brewery that I personally love, we had the fish and the butcher cut of the day and they where both great the mead was tender and the fish was nice and buttery, reservation is needed but this was worth it in my opinion 👍🏼

14/07/2026: A truly wonderful experience at La Cave aux Fouées in Amboise! ​​The troglodyte setting is magnificent, authentic, and full of charm. The set menu is generous, delicious, and allows you to discover local specialties in a convivial atmosphere. The price of the menu, as well as the wine, is quite reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions, and the exceptional setting. The staff is welcoming, smiling, and very friendly. A place I highly recommend!

23/07/2026: A very good restaurant located at the foot of Amboise Castle. Excellent cuisine with a warm welcome and service. The tasting menu was a wonderful discovery, with incredibly tasty dishes and a very good assortment of flavors. I highly recommend it.

02/07/2026: Passing through Amboise today, we stopped at this little restaurant. We had a very good meal for a very reasonable price. It was a buffet of starters, main courses, and desserts. The starter buffet was simple but very good (excellent homemade potato salad), no endless menu, just two choices of main courses which guaranteed homemade food, and the same for dessert. In short, exactly what you look for in a restaurant: simple but good! Not to mention the kindness of the lady who greeted and served us, who clearly cared about her guests' well-being! We will gladly return on our next visit.

24/06/2026: Excellent beers crafted well by people that love beer. We really enjoyed stopping here and sampling a few of their offerings. Definitely worth a visit!

21/06/2026: So, where to begin... the beers were delicious, HOWEVER, everything else was gone in terms of food. Just a €10 burger with no sides, soggy bun, tasteless meat (I suppose it was frozen). The only alternative was a small bag of plain chips for €2. The bartenders were great, no complaints there at all, quite the opposite.

27/07/2026: Very good service. They were busy but attentive. Food was pretty good and recently while priced. Beautiful setting sitting outside the Château and right next to the gardens. Very well shaded. A really enjoyable lunch after the tour.
