22/07/2026: Two passionate women who richly deserve a Michelin star for their restaurant! The value for money for the homemade dishes is unbeatable. Don't hesitate to opt for the non-alcoholic wine pairing; the surprising infusions complement the rest of the menu perfectly and are truly excellent. And the wine list is more than comprehensive; anyone who doesn't find something they like is hard to please. Hoping to return someday, because it's well worth the trip!

17/06/2026: We went for lunch on a Wednesday. There were only two dishes: croque monsieur and a salad. More like home cooking than fine dining. The dessert, panna cotta, was good.

18/06/2026: It's great to have a bar/restaurant open until 12:30 AM in Saint-Claude. If it weren't there, the town would be even more dead than it already is. Thank you for being open when everyone else is closed at the crack of dawn.

17/06/2026: Excellent bar, the bartenders are very friendly and always smiling. I had a wonderful evening, and I sincerely think it's the best bar in Saint-Claude! I highly recommend it! It deserves more recognition than it gets ❤️

I regret to find that you are unable to confirm, even before my arrival at the hotel, whether my request can be accommodated. Such information seemed to me to be the bare minimum expected in terms of customer service. Under these circumstances, and to avoid any unnecessary travel, I prefer to cancel my reservation. 17/05/2026: We had lunch at the restaurant. The food was delicious! The setting is relaxing with views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend this place.

06/08/2026: Fine in itself, but very expensive, long wait

05/08/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! We came simply for a drink and waited 25 minutes without anyone bothering to take our order. The place wasn't even very full, but the staff were remarkably unresponsive and unmotivated. The service was deplorable. It's a shame, we can't give it zero stars when it didn't deserve any more.

23/05/2026: We were very glad to find a place in Foncine-le-Bas as the weather was bad. The manager was available and accommodating regarding our arrival time. The hostel and the room were a bit dated but adequate for our needs as a refuge. However, €225 for two people for this room, a bland menu (a small chicken leg of unknown origin and a potato gratin for the main course, and a homemade rhubarb tart for dessert, which was appreciated). Breakfast was also quite basic and of poor quality. We ordered two minimalist ham and white baguette sandwiches for the next day. The owner seemed exhausted from work and was rather rushed. The value for money was definitely not there. We then stayed at the Hôtel des Clochettes du Risoux in La Chapelle des Bois, a much better place for significantly less money. I should point out that my partner thinks I'm fair, but the poor boss, miskina, it's not right for her.

10/07/2026: Avoid at all costs!! We wanted to have a drink on the terrace and were served by an extremely unfriendly and unpleasant waitress (around fifty years old) when we ordered. She seems to be there every day… We were too embarrassed to leave… just because you have a central location doesn't mean you can treat your customers with disrespect!

09/07/2026: The only place open in Morez besides fast food. The food was decent, but the meal was ruined by flies. We spent our time swatting them away and trying not to eat them!

14/08/2026: Nice service and the staff really did their best to speak English. Occasionally with a nice joke in between. The food was super good! Pizza Lacustre is highly recommended! Beautiful place with a stunning view.

15/05/2026: Second stay at this hotel. We booked a deluxe suite with a spa bath, half-board, and access to the relaxation area. We were, however, a little disappointed with the first meal, as the set menu was mandatory with no choice available, but this wasn't mentioned when we booked, which was a shame. For the second evening, we had the gourmet menu with a choice of two courses, and it was an exquisite meal! During our first stay, for just one night, we enjoyed the gourmet menu from the very first evening. We even extended our stay by an extra night in a standard room with the half-board option, which also included the gourmet menu. Despite this, our stay was pleasant. The staff is excellent, and the second evening's meal was delicious.

27/05/2026: Takeaway pizza only, so there is no atmosphere. I did get a delicious vegetarian pizza, though. Pizza as it should be, with lots of vegetables and cheese on top.
