14/12/2025: We stopped at this bar/restaurant during the off-season. A single person was handling everything from serving and bartending to cooking, and despite serving nearly twenty guests, it was all done efficiently and with a smile. We ordered the set menu, which was an excellent stuffed veal roll with porcini mushroom sauce, served with fries, green beans, and salad. Dessert was a delicious tiramisu. The house red wine and coffee were both good. A very pleasant stop that I highly recommend.
25/11/2025: Impressed by the restaurant owner's efficiency, alone at the bar, alone serving, and alone in the kitchen (with over 20 people in the dining room). Well done and thank you!

04/10/2025: Great welcome at lunchtime for a coffee to protect yourself from the rain and in the evening burger pizza. The veggie pizza was very good and the burger bread, homemade with local flour and Provençal herbs, was great! I highly recommend it :)

17/04/2026: Nice place in a beautiful town. Food and drinks (omelette, beer, cofee) were good. But I tried to order in french and we get an extra omelette we didn't want. Sure, it can happen as issues in communication. But when paying we got charged extra beer in bill, which I didn't notice until hours later (again, I should have checked during paying, and was probably an honest mistake). But, simply put not a pleasant experience and double check your order and bill🤷

19/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! The service was very efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The dishes were delicious and offered at a very reasonable price. We've decided to return to your restaurant on our next visits to Mende.
30/01/2026: Very nice. For me, this is a restaurant I'd forgotten about in Mende because it's a bit out of the way and, more importantly, the storefront isn't very visible to passersby. The meal was excellent and the welcome was warm.

30/04/2026: Hotel to avoid. The overall atmosphere is very peculiar: the bar is often noisy and unpleasant, like an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, and the lounge/restaurant area resembles a nursing home 😂 mostly occupied by very elderly clientele, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
Following feedback I gave to the manager regarding the state of the establishment, she reacted inappropriately by contacting my company with unfounded accusations, claiming that I had damaged the room. Fortunately, these claims were not taken seriously, especially since a room inspection had been carried out before my departure.
I deplore a lack of professionalism and an inability to accept criticism. Hygiene also leaves much to be desired: there was a dog in the restaurant, even roaming in the kitchen, which is unacceptable.
In short, a very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this establishment, particularly for reasons of hygiene and management.
20/04/2026: A bit pricey for a hiking lodge, but great rooms, and the evening meal was amazing. The packed lunch was also very good.

21/04/2026: A charming little hotel, lovingly furnished in a traditional style. It is run by a young woman who is an excellent cook and is supported by young staff. The bathroom meets modern standards.
19/04/2026: A very good experience. The two ladies are extremely dedicated and motivated. The food and service were excellent. The room was commensurate with the low price.

11/10/2025: We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. The local menu was delicious after a complimentary amuse-bouche... a very pleasant moment with soft background music and friendly conversation with the owner. This small establishment in the old town of Mende requires advance booking. An address to remember. Everything was excellent. We'll be back on our next visit to Mende.
