02/08/2024: On the roundabout at the foot of the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay sits this super little bistro. Busy from morning to midnight it’s an affable crowd of locals and tourists. We had super service from a smashing bearded waiter in a cap and would venture the menu choix to be the charcuterie board accompanied by the cheese board. And champagne by the bottle.

30/07/2024: We’ve visited here before last year so decided to give it another try. It’s obviously a very popular bar as tables outside are always at a premium so after a short wait, we we’re finally shown to a table. Service is a bit hit and miss and we waited a good while to order our first drinks so decided we’d order food at the same time. We’d already had a good meal at lunchtime so nothing fancy and ordered croque Monsieurs. Despite ordering everything in my schoolboy French, we didn’t feel the staff really cared much. It’s all a bit frantic and drinks prices are expensive compared to other places. Not sure if we’d return again now that we’ve found other alternatives.

11/08/2024: “To the fine capon” This more than flattering name does not at all reveal the quite ordinary and ordinary cuisine of this establishment. A very very slow welcome and service with a server more than asleep What an atmosphere!!! A pizza partially burnt and dough + additive from this forester more than average to the point that I only ate a small part of the latter And that's it and we left We wanted to go to the Sardinia pizzeria right on the sidewalk opposite but the terrace was fully occupied Too bad because here it is a real and excellent pizzeria Which I recommend without hesitation With all my regret for going to the fine capon that I will baptize i in fine “with battery chicken” So all you have to do is cross the sidewalk and you will have a very good evening and will not be like I am writing this hardly pleasant but necessary little note.

05/09/2024: De ontdekking van 2024. Dus dit jaar weer tweemaal. Wat een verademing, prima menu du jour en prima prijs. Bediening is vriendelijk, zorgt voor water voor de hond. Vast adresje voor ons.

02/09/2024: Sur la route de Verdun, avons déjeuné dans cet établissement qui ne paie pas de mine mais saura satisfaire, en autre, le vacancier de passage. Parking pas très grand mais on trouve sa place.. Façade "vieille France" et accueil très sympathique. Service efficace et souriant. Toilettes sans reproche. Cuisine "limitée", locale (andouillette, pied de cochon...) très correcte à un prix tout doux. Bonne maison tout à fait recommandable. On a bien fait de s'y arrêter!

01/09/2024: We show up, two adults, on a weekday at the stroke of noon. Only two people are seated in the room. We ask if we can eat vegetarian, the waiter replies: yes no problem (a hesitation) I will ask. When he returned, he told us, embarrassed, that everything was reserved... so vegetarians should refrain!

29/08/2024: Il faut mériter l'accès, mais une fois gravit l'escalier, l'accueil est agréable, la salle sympa et le déjeuner succulent, rapide sans se sentir "poussé", simple et d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Les clients sont détendus et les conversations s'entament entre tables...

16/12/2024: Accueil sympathique, très honnêtement nous nous attendions à autre chose en terme de restauration style planchette charcuterie fromage mais à priori c'était pas le concept qui s'orientait plutôt vers du burger etc.. indépendamment de çà les vins sont original et sortent des clivages habituels

08/09/2024: Friendly welcome and original concept: we ask the waiter what we want and he must offer a drink that meets our expectations. However, no Bordeaux. Nor from Burgundy. No St Nicolas de Bourgueuil. Nor from Bandol... We end up getting tired and choosing not by default. Damage. The cellar seemed to us to be quite empty in the end.

21/09/2024: Typical “as been” place in the 80s. Very dark, type map from the same years. Very light service, average quality ingredients. Nothing delights the taste buds. Damage !

29/09/2024: Friendly welcome, polite staff. Clean room, perhaps a little too sober for an Indian restaurant. Room not noisy, so you don't feel like you're in a canteen. Very fast service. A little expensive dishes (but with taste): more than 15 E for a bowl with a little curry sauce and a few small pieces of meat in it. Big problem: rice is not included in the price. And yet...they should have included it systematically because the dish is really very salty and it is impossible to eat it without rice. In my opinion, the carrot halwa cake tastes close to rice pudding. A bit bland. The eggplant fritters were tasteless, sorry. On the other hand, I really liked the Garlic Naan, I added mint sauce which I also liked, to make it even more interesting.

17/08/2024: Best hotel between Frankfurt and Paris! Price-performance tip top. Super nice staff - family run. Food/buffet first class. Red tuna and prawns .. homemade Rilette. The chef and the waitress were also a hit. Even with a full house...always nice and personal. “We love people” is the motto. Bicycle safe in the yard: what more could you want?

13/08/2024: I highly recommend this hotel! The rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always ready to meet your needs with kindness. I was impressed by the quality of service and attention to detail. A very pleasant stay, I will come back without hesitation!

09/11/2024: Passing through on our journey between Nancy and CDG airport, we discovered this very nice little place for lunch. Only good things to taste with the chef's explanations and his wife's diligence. The service is carried out in pairs with great attention and a few small herbs and flowers to enhance the dishes. Time stands still in a very pleasant and calming setting. If you are in the area, and you like gastronomy, do not hesitate to visit this establishment, you will not be disappointed.
