04/05/2026: Breakfast was very delicious. The room was nice. The internet connection was not good.

12/04/2026: The hotel boasts a prime location right on the Avenue de Champagne and makes a truly beautiful first impression. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that some areas could benefit from a bit more upkeep and maintenance. We stayed in the "Banana Room," which pleasantly surprised us – it was especially quiet at night, significantly better than expected for such a central location. The bathroom could be improved: Unfortunately, there's no towel rack, so you have to improvise to hang your towels. This is somewhat inconvenient. Breakfast was good and perfectly adequate. However, the reception is only staffed for a few hours a day, which can be a bit limiting depending on your needs. Overall, it's a nice hotel with a lot of potential that could be truly outstanding with a few improvements.

06/07/2026: Hello. On our way back from Paris, we stopped here for lunch. What a culinary disappointment! The starter wasn't homemade; it was just a pre-packaged potato salad. The main course was frozen calamari and fries. They could have at least made an effort with homemade mayonnaise instead of store-bought. Only the dessert, a fresh fruit salad, was a pleasant surprise. Hence my second star. On the other hand, the atmosphere was nice, the waitresses were excellent, and the owner had a great sense of humor. Go there for everything except the food.

07/08/2026: The restaurant is filthy, the bins aren't emptied, yet your staff doesn't seem overwhelmed. They're playing UNO in the production area while customers are piling up. Is playing UNO in the production area a violation of HACCP rules: playing, not washing your hands, and making sandwiches? 🥪

05/08/2026: The staff were friendly and smiling; it's one of the best burgers I've ever eaten.

21/05/2026: I booked a set menu for an overnight stay. I sat down at 7 pm. I left the table at 11 pm; they had completely forgotten my starter and dessert. The food itself was good, but the apologies were weak. I found the service very disappointing.

07/05/2026: Here are a few definitions that some staff members clearly need to review at the start of the day: "Respect: a feeling that leads one to show consideration for someone because of the value one recognizes in them." "Professionalism: the professional nature of an activity." "Courtesy: refined politeness." Unfortunately, none of these concepts seemed to be present during our visit. The attitude of some employees was particularly inappropriate, with an unpleasant tone and completely unsuitable behavior towards customers. I very rarely leave negative reviews, let alone one-star reviews, but this experience was truly shameful. A minimum of respect and courtesy should be the foundation of any establishment open to the public. It is unacceptable to treat customers this way.

06/08/2026: 6:32 AM: I'm told to open at 10 AM, but the hours aren't being respected. Change your hours!!!

30/07/2026: I went to the Mie Câline bakery on Place d'Erlon today, and I have to say I'm very unhappy. A young man, a salesman, called me "dude" at least five times, emphasizing the term, even though I'm a woman. Admittedly, my voice is a little deeper than most other women's, but I was appalled and felt very uncomfortable. I wonder where respect for customers has gone. Where do people call their customers "dude" or even "chick"? I'm a shopkeeper myself, and I would never, ever call my customers that. It's definitely not a business I would recommend to my friends, family, tourists, or customers. Anyway, all this to say that I'm very unhappy! I'm still bewildered, and so are those around me, by this kind of behavior. I will certainly let other shopkeepers know about it.

07/07/2026: We ended up here after walking around Epernay all day and were unpleasantly surprised. We saw a nice menu with a starter, main course, and dessert and ordered it, but with the exception of one starter, everything was quite disappointing in terms of taste, and sometimes we couldn't even finish it. We also only received two pieces of bread in total. The wine was good and the staff friendly, but simply not present often enough in our opinion. Not really recommended, as it was also quite expensive for what we got.

30/06/2026: The food was good. Not overdone, but good. The staff were attentive and the service was prompt. Good wines. The atmosphere gets 3 stars because we found it a bit impersonal. Furthermore, we find the less touristy spots to be a more enjoyable experience. But then again, I am a tourist myself, of course.

22/08/2026: BASE: The neo-hipster bakery in Croix de Chavaux On paper and on social media, BASE sells a dream. It's the perfect embodiment of gentrified Montreuil: minimalist design, local organic flours, natural sourdough, and pastries with ultra-polished visuals. Except that, price-wise, they haven't hesitated to align their prices with those of the 11th arrondissement of Paris. When you open their Google Reviews page: it's a nightmare. The reviews section reads like a settling of scores in Croix de Chavaux: The eye-watering bill: "€7 for a cardamom roll? Are we in Montreuil or Place Vendôme? It's highway robbery." The "beautiful but empty" effect: "It's very Instagrammable, but frankly, the bread is sour, the puff pastry lacks butter, and it's way too expensive for what it is." “The atmosphere and service: “The welcome is icy. You get the feeling you're bothering some of the employees if you don't know the difference between their three types of heritage flour inside and out.” Customers don't mince words and mercilessly criticize the value for money. And this morning, the dilemma is real: I woke up thinking: “Okay, this morning I'm going to get myself going, I'm going down to Croix de Chavaux to try BASE and see if their products are really worth all the hype.” But now, rereading these scathing Google reviews between yawns, it completely chills you to the bone. The desire deflates like a deflated soufflé! Reading dozens of people crying foul, accusing them of being ripped off, snobbish, and charging exorbitant prices, completely kills your appetite and makes you absolutely not want to walk through the door or part with €10 for a coffee and a pastry!”

07/03/2026: Never smiling, always brushing customers off. He'd be better off changing careers; being a shopkeeper, you keep smiling and don't brush people off, especially when it comes to printing papers, saying, "I'm not going to print sheets all day." I miss the days when Christophe was here.

25/06/2026: I enjoyed discovering this restaurant, which makes delicious homemade salads and tarts using fresh, local ingredients, available for dine-in or takeout. The service was friendly and attentive. Note: If you're in a hurry to take out, this isn't the place for you.

11/07/2026: Dirty tables (sticky or covered in crumbs left by previous customers), a meager portion of fries (Curly with cheddar and bacon) (nothing like the picture on the menu; I thought it was a mistake, but apparently not), trays piled high with trash on the racks, seemingly unconcerned, and a terrible Boxmaster Double sandwich that was horribly dry because the chicken was way overcooked (dark brown breading; I suspect pre-cooked fillets that were put back in the oil...) and there was practically no sauce. And paper napkins with the tray—would that be too much to ask? The only positive point: the friendly staff (but they should pay more attention to the state of the dining area).

05/07/2026: On a quiet Sunday, I placed an Uber Eats order for two meals and they managed to forget some items. The training needs to be redone.

05/05/2026: I ordered by phone on May 5, 2026 at 7:00 PM. At 7:35 PM, I received one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. I highly recommend them. They are also very professional and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend going there without hesitation.

01/05/2026: Hotel on the edge of the city. Quiet and peaceful place. Rooms are not very big but comfortable.

15/04/2026: Hotel in an industrial area, quiet at night. Friendly and decent reception. Clean room, tiny bathroom! Breakfast was adequate but could be better. Still, I'd recommend the hotel if you're working or otherwise in the area.

07/06/2026: Refused to turn up the A/C when it was 90* and room was on the west side of building. Staff was rude and lied about the ability to adjust the temperature- one of the staff admitted it to me. Room was clean- location near transportation.

19/07/2026: Good evening, having ordered from this establishment several times before, I've never been disappointed. However, tonight a 3-meat taco (€9.90) weighed 303 grams... that's SIGNIFICANTLY less than the average for restaurants of this type. Hoping this comment will be taken into account.
