24/03/2026: We were very disappointed by our experience at this restaurant, even though we had enjoyed our visit several times before. The set menu, previously offered at €32, wasn't available this Sunday, so we had to order à la carte, for a total of over €45 per person. Unfortunately, the portions didn't justify the prices, and the quality seemed to have declined. We question this price increase, which is difficult to justify given our experience. The service was also disappointing: a rather cold welcome from a waitress who was unfriendly and disorganized. Wine wasn't served at the table, and cutlery was left out… overall, the service was very mediocre. We had come to celebrate a birthday and wanted to have a good time, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We don't plan to return. However, we would like to point out that the owner, on the other hand, was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome.

23/03/2026: Delicious, authentic food served by friendly hosts. The view of the valley is also beautiful, especially in the evening.

14/03/2026: Quick preparation for takeout. The only downside was that the pizza wasn't pre-cut. Warm welcome. Pretty good pizza.

09/01/2026: The chicken on the pizza was expired, and the pizzas were exceptionally dry.

06/04/2026: A must-visit in Mazamet! Le Grand Balcon is simply a wonderful discovery. The welcome is impeccable: a warm, smiling, and genuinely kind team, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, it's flawless. The dishes are flavorful, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the effort behind each plate. Perfect for both a special occasion and a simple moment of pleasure, especially with prices that remain very reasonable for the level of quality offered. A truly wonderful experience that I wholeheartedly recommend—I'll be back very soon!

16/12/2025: Exquisite experience! The team was fantastic—friendly, smiling, and very responsive—a real pleasure! From the menu, I chose the warm goat cheese salad, which was delicious and full of flavor. My partner also enjoyed the tomato and mozzarella tart. It's a shame this restaurant is so far from my home (800 km). A real treat, thank you! 👏

03/10/2025: One of my favorite places in the region, especially on a sunny day. Unique panoramic views of Roussergue and the Causse. Reserve a table on the balcony, at the front of the terrace. This old house has had the wall facing the void removed. The food is simple but good.

11/03/2026: A place where hospitality is truly valued. We had lunch at the cafeteria after participating in the Black Mountain Trail, a well-known sporting event in the region. The welcome and service were fantastic, the kind you sometimes don't even find in restaurants. The food was delicious, flavorful, and plentiful. All the employees and the owner are incredibly attentive, helpful, and always smiling. Don't hesitate to stop by the South Cafeteria.

28/01/2026: I wanted to thank the staff at the cafeteria at the end of Pont-de-Larn, as well as the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Prat, for their kindness and professionalism. Last Sunday, my friends and I—there were 25 of us—had lunch there to celebrate my birthday 🎂. Everything was perfect: beautifully set tables, delicious food, and the homemade Baked Alaska for dessert was a real treat. Congratulations to the chef! I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

15/04/2026: The pizza was good. The drinks were good as well. But the staff was really rude, we were only two and they didn’t like that for some reason. There were good seats available overlooking the great views, that hadn’t been reserved, and they still gave us one away from the views. But, overall it was nice, probably will visit again to see if the experience with the staff gets better. Which will hopefully improve the atmosphere there.

08/09/2025: A very pleasant surprise at this lovely bar, whose terrace overlooks the Tarn River. The menu is brasserie-style, simple but with generous portions and quality ingredients. The ham hock is easily on par with Grandma's! The croque monsieur is very generous. The salad dressing beats any store-bought version with its homemade taste. The portion of homemade fries is also substantial. My only regret was not having time to try the churros offered for dessert, but no matter, we'll take more time to enjoy everything on our next visit! Warm welcome and quick service.

24/01/2026: We left this place very disappointed. The back room was lifeless, while the main room was far from full. Then I ordered a lemonade, which was barely fizzing; the samosas were good. We ordered a burger and a hanger steak, but for a bistro, the burger was underwhelming, nothing to make you want to go back. The fries were dry, and there was no sauce—the plate was really sad. It's a real shame...

12/12/2025: Superb golf course, certainly one of the most beautiful in the region along with Mazamet and Palmola. Very well maintained for mid-December. Well done!

01/04/2026: March 29, 2026 How could I not tell you about a new addition to the menu at La Garance? The double pork chop with morel sauce and its wonderfully smooth truffle mashed potatoes is a true delight. (see photo) Very generous portions, highly recommended. Well done, La Garance, for such excellent service! February 18, 2026 Once you go, you'll be back again and again! Today, a delicious, fork-mashed mashed potato, homemade and made in the traditional way, made us fall in love with this dish again. Bravo to the whole team... they are fantastic! Truly an address to remember... Comfortable atmosphere... Themed evenings... Very generous portions with excellent value for money... Plus, the staff is friendly, just like their owner, JS. Highly recommended.
