18/12/2024: We trusted the heart of Meaulne for our wedding meal on December 13 as well as to bed our witnesses and everyone was delighted!! Excellent cuisine, comfortable mattress and warm welcome. Without forgetting the catering service the next day for the religious wedding which delighted all our guests. Thanks for everything!

15/12/2024: Meal taken on Sunday lunchtime with family, excellent meal for a menu at €28. Sufficient quantity. Very attentive waiter and very good advice on wines. We will come back

12/09/2024: Perfect stay at the B&B HOTEL Montluçon Center! As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a big smile by the reception team, always available and very professional. Their warm welcome immediately made me feel at ease. The room was spacious, clean and above all extremely comfortable, with quality bedding which guarantees restful nights. A true haven of peace, because it was also very quiet, perfect for a good rest. Breakfast is another highlight! Not only is the buffet varied and delicious, but the view from the room overlooks the Cher, which provides a peaceful and pleasant touch to start the day well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality stay in Montluçon. Excellent value for money! 👌

19/11/2024: The small brasserie, the corner bistro, increasingly rare. And the waiters and waitresses as we find more. Truly unmissable. When we return to Vichy, we will definitely come back there.

20/09/2024: Very pleasant restaurant, with shaded terrace. We had a great time on the banks of the Sioule with a good meal (fresh frog legs and fresh trout). Thanks to the chef for the cooking and to his wife for the service. (the 3 bikers from Saturday noon August 31)

22/12/2024: Bad, slow service, lack of organization. I didn't eat my dish....No glass for water or wine. Unsmiling staff At the dawn of 2025, when we say we don't eat meat we are offered 1 piece of cheese especially since I have paid for my full menu, it's 2 p.m. and I'm hungry!! I hope that when we return it's not the same restaurant...

17/09/2024: Great creperie in a family atmosphere. Pleasant staff, animal friendly, very good, well-filled pancakes. Don't hesitate to push the door. Certainly credit card is not accepted but there is an ATM at the end of the street and checks are accepted.

22/09/2024: Une brasserie plutôt sympathique et moderne. Le service très aimable. Un point vraiment désagréable : la bouteille de San Pellegrino à 8,20 €. C'est vrai nous n'avons pas lu son prix sur la carte avant la commande, mais c'est bien la première fois qu'on voit un prix pareil en brasserie. On s'est sentis floués.

09/09/2024: Nous nous sommes rabattus sur cette brasserie faute de place dans l'établissement voisin et finalement c'était beaucoup mieux que ce à quoi nous nous attendions. Nous avons très bien mangé, des plats simples mais goûteux et bien présentés. Nous recommandons le dessert maison avec la poire cuite. Le service est efficace et les serveurs aimables et attentionnés.

Everything is dilapidated, the carpet stained, the bathroom dilapidated, the bedding approximate, the roller shutters stuck half open or lowered, the curtains too short … the list is unfortunately endless. Great admiration for the staff who continue to work in this establishment, the welcome is pleasant whether at the reception or at the bar. In 1920, Joseph Aletti took over the management of the Thermal Palace, making it one of the jewels of his Société des Grands Hôtels de Vichy (S.G.H.V.). The hotel continues to welcome its guests under the name Aletti Palace, the last Belle Époque establishment still in operation. At its peak, the Queen of Spa Towns boasted no fewer than six palaces worthy of the name: the Carlton, the International, the Majestic, the Parc, the Ruhl (or Radio), and the Thermal. Now known as the Aletti, the Thermal Palace is the only one to survive; the others have been converted into apartments. The lobby is still entered through the mahogany revolving door. Adorned with a badge bearing the Frémont family's letters, the reception desk faces the staircase, whose banister is adorned with ironwork by Eugène Goujon. The woodwork of its Ascot bar is made from old hotel doors, its stained-glass windows come from Londonderry House, owned by a prominent British aristocratic family, and its restaurant, La Véranda, with its disappointing food, is housed in what was once Villa Strauss. With 129 rooms and reception halls, some of which have retained their original layout, the Aletti Palace regularly serves as a filming location. Jean-Paul Rappeneau's film Bon Voyage received the 2004 César Award for Best Set Design. As for artists scheduled to perform at the Opera, they need only cross the street to reach the stage, as did Madeleine Renaud, Yehudi Menuhin, and Rudolf Nureyev, to name a few.
