27/02/2026: Last-minute booking for an unexpected business trip about ten kilometers from the hotel. Very pleasantly surprised! Charming place, lovely room, excellent value for money. The owner is very welcoming, friendly, kind, helpful, and accommodating. And the restaurant: a gem! We ate (and drank) very well. The meal was delicious, from aperitif to dessert, beautifully presented, with very generous portions, all served quickly. I highly recommend it.

01/08/2026: We had to stop because of a big storm. We were on our motorcycles and this restaurant was recommended to us. The owner, Momo, welcomed us like one of his regulars. A big thank you to him! We ate very, very well. Top-notch service from the Breton bikers!

05/07/2026: We received a very warm welcome. Comfortable beds. The food is homemade. The Cantal cheese burger is excellent. Facing the river, the location is magical. We discovered a beach and swam in the warm river a little further upstream. I highly recommend it!

03/07/2026: I went there yesterday, very clean, very welcoming staff, quite a lot of choice and even a small deli corner... I was just a little disappointed by the lack of choice in terms of fresh vegetables/fruits.

18/07/2026: Everything was perfect during my business trip to the Logis Hôtel du Parc. The welcome was very warm and the staff incredibly attentive. The room was spotlessly clean. As for amenities, the private parking is a real plus, especially convenient and secure if you're traveling by motorcycle. Finally, the food is excellent, from dinner to the superb breakfast. It's flawless, absolutely top-notch! Close to Le Pal amusement park and a multitude of castles. Truly a magnificent region 😍

16/07/2026: I've stayed at this hotel several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and attentive to guests' well-being; I'd even say they go above and beyond. The place is comfortable and very pleasant; the restaurant is excellent... You just want to come back!

04/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! The daily specials are very good and homemade. Excellent value for money at €18.90 for the set menu (starter, main course, dessert). They also have other menus available. We will definitely return. Highly recommended; easy to access. Parking nearby.

17/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, the setting is understated and elegant. The service was very pleasant and the food delicious. The air conditioning is a real bonus right now.

04/05/2026: Passing through Cusset, we ordered the daily special. Veal chop, ratatouille, Norman apple tart, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream—very good! However, the veal chop was a bit overcooked, perhaps even reheated, and not very thick, which made it tough. The server was very good.

29/04/2026: Here you can enjoy excellent Salers or Aubrac beef, cooked to perfection and served with real fries and ratatouille. A very good selection of wines by the glass. A very warm welcome and excellent service. The price is quite reasonable for the quality. Terrace or indoor seating available.

17/08/2026: As a regular customer, I found neither the quality nor the quantity I expected. The little food that was served was carelessly thrown onto the plate. And the service... No offer of an aperitif, wine, or anything else. No water or bread on the table.

And then the big question: they tell you you're being moved... even though everything is paid for... what a disgrace! I can confirm... we had no choice but to take a standard room... since we were being moved... shame on you for not acknowledging this...

02/11/2025: To celebrate my mother's 96th birthday, we decided to go to La Chaumière in Villeneuve-sur-Allier. And there, what a surprise! We were greeted by the owner, smiling and charming, in her warm, country-style restaurant. Right away, even before sitting down, we already felt a bit at home! We ordered our set menu (€12) and soon after, a starter arrived: beautifully presented beef carpaccio, followed by a piece of chicken on a bed of cabbage, accompanied by mushrooms and potatoes—all absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of spice…and a dessert of rice pudding (just like in the old days). We thought to ourselves, it's impossible to get such a meal for that price! We chatted a lot with our hostess, Sophie. She and her husband, both originally from Belgium, took over this hotel-restaurant a year ago. For us, it was a real success... We truly felt Sophie's dedication to doing everything to satisfy her customers; we were pampered, even receiving a gift for Mom's birthday! We certainly won't wait for another birthday to return to La Chaumière and encourage all readers of this message to do the same. A must-visit. Thank you, Sophie.

09/10/2025: This charming cottage with its authentic character is a must-see. The owners are exceptionally kind and welcoming. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. Breakfast is superb. A wonderful discovery. Easily accessible. Vehicle parking available.

05/09/2026: A very nice little restaurant with a pleasant terrace, perfect for a lovely lunch. The menu is simple but effective, and the daily special was well-prepared (today it was sea bream with vegetables and a virgin sauce). The service was impeccable; the waitresses were friendly, smiling, and polite. Thank you to them. I've been here once before and will definitely be back; I highly recommend it.

03/09/2026: I ate at this so-called restaurant last week. The atmosphere was icy cold when we arrived, apart from the decor which they clearly copied from a desk; it was quite trendy. And the food? €24 for a tiny piece of overcooked fish and an ice cream sundae averaging €9, which is outrageously expensive for a city like Montluçon. They shouldn't be charging the prices you see in the south! 😂 We certainly won't be going back. Best wishes to the grumpy brunette waitress; maybe she should find another job, it'll make her feel better! 😅

16/04/2026: I highly recommend this place. The food was high quality and very well prepared; we thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The service was excellent and genuinely kind, especially considering we were a party of seven adults and three young children. We will definitely be back.
