27/02/2026: I had breakfast after a blood test. A large hot chocolate and small brioches. And cream puffs for the road. Everything was very good. Upstairs there's a large, very pleasant room overlooking the boulevard. It's very nice to have breakfast there.

25/02/2026: Hello, I had the pleasure of participating in a discovery afternoon at Patapain, located at 2 Route de Villebret in Montluçon. In two hours, we made bread, brioches, apple turnovers, raspberry tarts, and much more. It was a very enriching experience. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly, smiling, and efficient. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. You can eat at any time, and it's open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Well done! Plus, there's a private parking lot, blue short-term parking spaces, and a large parking lot across the street. Everything you could want, in short. 04/02/2026: We were looking for a nice little restaurant and we found it. Very chic, clean, and welcoming, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The portions were generous and arrived piping hot (a rare treat indeed!). We'll be back soon, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

10/03/2026: Having come to discover the "Brasserie des Artistes" (Artists' Brasserie), on the advice of the 2026 edition of the Routard guide, we were surprised to find the "Bouillon des Artistes." It had nothing to do with what the Routard guide described, nor with the Maps reviews. In fact, the restaurant has only been a bouillon for less than two years. A bouillon usually means simple, unpretentious everyday cuisine. In short, we were a little disappointed. The setting is beautiful and the service very friendly, but the food itself was quite mediocre. Oh well. It's fine for those looking for an inexpensive bouillon. I've included photos from Maps that no longer correspond to the current restaurant. These are the menu from the old "Brasserie des Artistes." Be careful.

17/02/2026: My sons and I went there last night. Absolutely perfect. The service was fantastic. The gentleman was incredibly friendly; he even went upstairs to show us where the bathroom door was because my son was worried he wouldn't find it. He gave him two balloons from the Valentine's Day decorations because he saw my son looking at them and came over several times to ask if everything was alright. The food was perfect too. We had the hamburgers, which were excellent and very filling, and the homemade fries (so rare to find in a restaurant), which were also excellent. It's a shame we're not from the area; we would have come back regularly. I highly recommend it! Thank you again.

08/01/2025: We ate very well, great food, everything is homemade. Too bad the attitude of the waitress when it comes to a slight cooking error, they talk to us as if we were idiots even though we are restaurateurs ourselves. My husband received a blue and not rare cooking which did not bother him because the meat was of very good quality and for my part I just wanted a slight readjustment because medium cooking must still be cooked through and through. slightly pinkish. I still recommend the establishment.
