27/03/2026: It's open because it's the only all-you-can-eat restaurant open in Moulins. The first time I went, the shelves were only stocked sporadically, the quality wasn't great, but it was edible, not good at all. Last night I went back because it was the only one open, thinking my first experience wasn't a good day for them, so we'll try again anyway. The quality leaves much to be desired, and today I got food poisoning. Thanks a lot.

09/08/2026: We came as a pair for a game and decided to order two half-pints, which were charged at €17. Later, upon checking, we realized we'd been charged for two pints, €8 more than the original price. When we went to report this to the bar, the man there was incredibly rude, offered no apology for the inconvenience, and asked if I wanted two more half-pints instead. I asked for a refund, and it was clear he was annoyed. He didn't bother to calculate what HE owed us and asked me to do the math myself. In the end, I got the overcharge back from them, but without an apology, and it was obvious he was bothered, even though the mistake was clearly the waitress's. We had hoped to play another game, but decided to leave because of the staff's deplorable attitude. They just stared at us until we left. It's a real shame for such a nice little bowling alley.

03/08/2026: We had a very good experience with the unlimited €10 portions, which allowed us to save over €100 for 5 people. We ordered Monaco burgers which we found too bland, and the charcuterie board was quite good, but we weren't aware that we had to walk around to get to the table to eat. It's a shame because otherwise I wouldn't have ordered the board, but we still recommend the place.

13/09/2026: It was very busy in the square, and because the staff at the nearby restaurant were quite surly towards the customers, we decided to eat at Le France. They told us we had to wait an hour due to the crowds, which was no problem for us. The staff was very friendly, and the food, which arrived much faster than expected, was delicious. Definitely recommended for a visit sometime.

13/09/2026: This morning, we had two kir cassis around 11 am. The white wine was very poor quality, perhaps a cheap, rustic wine, and the cassis unfortunately didn't mask its bad taste. Never again 😰

02/05/2026: Disappointed. I was expecting a small country restaurant. The owner was friendly, but there was no atmosphere in this bland and dimly lit place. The starters were low-quality, the main course came with undercooked fries, and I shudder to think what the griddle must have looked like given the taste of my fish... and worst of all, the price! €20 for the set menu (which wasn't mentioned anywhere). I don't recommend it and won't be going back.

19/08/2026: A refreshing break in Place d'Allier. Beware of the prices. We had two pints of Grimbergen Blanche... €18.80 for both. A week earlier, we were in the south overlooking the port in a tourist resort. We paid €16 for two pints there... with a much nicer view from a terrace... Place d'Allier is still just as expensive...

18/09/2026: The food is perfect, everything is perfect except the service. We saw a woman working who, in the middle of her shift, flirted with a man and offered him pizzas and ice cream. Her behavior is unacceptable.

23/08/2026: A mixed bag for three visits. The tomatoes are awful. The meat is good, 3/5. The service was average; the guy in sneakers was a terrible service, 1/5. The atmosphere was terrible.

23/08/2026: Signed closing Sunday at 10 PM. Unfortunately, it's 7 PM this Sunday and the restaurant is closed.

13/08/2026: A well-appointed beach bar next to a small sandy beach with a designated swimming area in the Allier River. One slight drawback: beer lovers will have limited options.

26/04/2026: We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday at lunchtime, on the terrace. One of the only tables open on Sunday in the area. Friendly welcome, quick service, and excellent food: a hamburger with real meat, Roquefort sauce, and real bread… the fries were good. 19 euros. Very nice and delicious ice cream for dessert… It's worth getting off the motorway for the trip!
