28/04/2026: Passing through Carcassonne, we wanted to grab a bite to eat before visiting the citadel. We found Le Lotus d'Or on Google and were honestly not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the owner was incredibly kind. We'll definitely be back.

08/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, great food made with fresh ingredients, calm atmosphere (Tuesday lunchtime), and plenty of comics to keep you entertained while you wait! Please note: they do not accept credit cards.

12/04/2026: A very good restaurant in Carcassonne. Excellent selection of dishes, including typical French specialties like cassoulet ❤️ Reservations are recommended. Even if you don't need to use the restroom, it's worth a visit 😉 If we ever come back to Carcassonne, we'll definitely eat there again. There are also suitable options for vegetarians (and a limited selection for vegans). A definite 5/5 from me!

12/04/2026: Rainy night so service was indoors. Comfortable atmosphere, warm welcome and service was friendly. Shared the Gougére for starters, fabulous! Highly recommend a visit.

18/04/2026: Ordered for the first time: one I don't know (merguez, chorizo, minced meat) and one Savoyarde. Really generous and very good. Friendly service.

14/04/2026: We were visiting the city and bought some pizzas. The waitress was excellent and quick, and the pizzas were delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you very much!

13/10/2025: October 2025 - We tried to return, but were informed that the owner had passed away and the restaurant was permanently closed. How sad... This restaurant was a gem! • • • • • Glad to see this restaurant is still open. Our visit in April 2019 (see photo) left us with very pleasant memories of the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful! A place to retreat to when the weather is cold! We will definitely return in September 2025, during our next planned visit to Carcassonne!

27/08/2025: Establishment CLOSED!!!😡(We traveled 80km) It would be wise to report this on your door and on Google... And they don't answer the phone. Doesn't deserve any stars... Avoid!!!

30/04/2026: Generally good quality, but you should check the expiration dates on sodas, because selling a Coke that expired two months ago when it only has 12 to 18 months of expiration date when it leaves the factory is unacceptable.

01/04/2026: EXCELLENT 👍 The coffee, croissants, and sandwiches in the mornings are very good quality. The waitresses are attentive and serve quickly. Congratulations! Every time I go to Carcassonne, I enjoy my breakfast at Marie Blanchere (airport area) 😀

04/04/2026: The restaurant, is inside the castle, had a very medieval atmosphere, and the service was good! However, I found the roasted chicken legs I ordered to have a burnt skin and the meat inside to be too dry. Although it was cheap, it was very ordinary! The onion soup didn't have the onion flavor . The local specialty dishes, cassoulet ,on the other hand, were very generous in portion size!

16/01/2026: Excellent place!!! We found this bakery because it's very close to our accommodation, which was very convenient. It's well located and parking is easy in the area, which is a plus. We received excellent service from the very beginning, both friendly and professional. The products exude quality, both in appearance and flavor, and the overall experience was very satisfying. The prices are competitive for the type of product and the location. Without a doubt, it's a place I would return to without hesitation if I were ever in the area again.

10/01/2026: What a disgrace! I came to buy a pan bagnat and a panini. The pan bagnat was flat, with three tiny pieces of chicken barely hanging on. And the panini was dripping with olive oil. I don't recommend it.

04/04/2026: Small place but with some magnificent savory and sweet crepes, the waitress is friendly and very attentive, she alone brings all the service to the table and never stops smiling. I recommend that if you are in Carcassonne you go there!!

04/04/2026: Excellent cookies and crepes. We ordered a ham and cheese cookie with egg, a tomato and mushroom cookie, and a Nutella crepe. All delicious. The place is small, so you have to arrive early to get a table. But it's worth it. The staff is very friendly.
