04/05/2026: We had a lovely tasting menu and a lovely bottle of local Fitou. Food and service were exceptional! Only minor criticism would be that it is quite a sterile room with functional tables and table cloths.

01/05/2026: A wonderful hotel right next to the Cité and in the heart of Carcassonne. The rooms are fantastic and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The small but excellent continental breakfast is prepared with great care and is very reasonably priced at €18. Thank you for everything!

28/04/2026: My husband and I had this lunch set. It was three courses, a glass of red and white wine, a large bottle of coffee and sparkling water, all for only €55 per person – an absolute steal! You need to allow about 1.5 hours to finish the set, so don't choose this place if you're in a rush. Also, the menu changes seasonally and includes in-season dishes, so be sure to check the menu on their website before making a reservation, and remember to book in advance. The food quality is high, the atmosphere is excellent, and the staff are professional, polite, and efficient. I highly recommend it for couples; most importantly, the food quality is truly exceptional for this price.

26/04/2026: Very disappointed. We had a reservation for 1 p.m. The staff offered us an aperitif. We asked to have it on the terrace, which was refused because, according to them, it was a late hour. The food was decent but basic. There was no originality in the dishes. The appetizers were too salty, the bread wasn't fresh, and the cheese platter consisted of only three small pieces without any choice. There was no cheese trolley; the staff imposed the three small pieces of cheese on us. The biggest disappointment was the wine. The staff offered us a glass of white wine, which arrived warm. When we pointed this out, they offered us ice cubes, explaining that they were out of chilled wine. When we insisted and asked for another glass, they finally offered us a glass of a different grape variety, which arrived chilled. The wines were not well-matched to the dishes offered. It's a shame. The setting is very pretty. We were able to drink our coffees outside, which was very pleasant. The outdoor area has a lovely view and is very quiet and relaxing. The setting is a plus, but the rest is just average. They have a shuttle service that picks you up from the parking lot.

21/03/2026: Passing through this beautiful city, we stopped at "Aux Copains d'Abord" for a very pleasant surprise! A very warm welcome and an excellent meal. Greetings from the Basques! 😉

22/03/2026: The cassoulet was so piping hot that the taste was ruined. It was overheated, as there were slight drips around the edges, and the proportions of beans to the two pieces of meat were uneven.

15/04/2026: As always, we were pleased with the service and the food was good. The restaurant is suitable for families with young children. The prices are very reasonable. A special mention to the young Black man who worked there (I don't know his name): he was very friendly and competent 😉

13/01/2026: They don't take reservations, so when we finished visiting the castle, we went back to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered the typical cassoulet, onion soup, and entrecote steak with potatoes, all for two people, and yes, it was a lot, but we didn't regret it at all because everything was delicious. That said, we didn't have room for dessert. We really liked the restaurant, the service was very friendly, and the food, as I said, was a 10/10, so I recommend it. We also didn't think it was too expensive for everything we ate. Oh! And the wine! What a delicious wine! We didn't order any particular one; we drank the house wine.

09/01/2026: Very happy we stopped in here for lunch. They had a fixed price menu for €19 that was fantastic. Very filling and home-style cooking.

09/04/2026: I'm not happy with the young man who serves the food; he's very unpleasant to people, and it's not the first time. It doesn't make me want to come back. Otherwise, the rest of the staff is very pleasant and welcoming.

21/02/2026: The owner already counted my children without asking their ages. She even counted the baby who wasn't eating. All for the money. It's horrible, very dirty, the cutlery is awful, there's no sushi left at the first seating at 8 am, shameful, the plates are dirty. A restaurant to avoid, I've never seen anything like it, it's shameful. The waiters and the owner aren't smiling, they're cold. They should change professions

21/02/2026: Meh, I won't be going back! Not great! I paid for a children's menu for a 16-month-old baby even though I was told it was free for them. We were both very sick the next day.

16/04/2026: A well-known restaurant on Place Carnot, with a solid reputation. I've been to this place several times and have generally never been disappointed. A safe bet if you're looking for a place without any unpleasant surprises, offering good value for money. The sunny terrace is truly lovely when the weather permits. On some visits, there may be slight variations, whether in the service or the cooking. But overall, a reliable place that I recommend.

06/04/2026: We had the three course plat du jour and all three courses were delicious. The starter salads were generous portions and very nice. Between us we ordered the lasagne, fish and duck for main and they were all lovely. The Nutella brioche for desert is divine! Service was quick as we arrived later for lunch and they wanted to close so were hurrying us out. Other than that it was a delicious meal and I'd return if I was in Carcassonne again.
