Les meilleurs restaurants en Carcassonne

18/06/2026: A small but beautifully decorated restaurant that deserves to be more popular and better known in Carcassonne. Authentic Moroccan cuisine, delicious and very reasonably priced. The welcome and service were also impeccable, pleasant, polite, and discreet. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the portions are a little small, at least for the tagines. We would have liked a larger plate. Nevertheless, we will gladly return, also to try the appetizers that looked so tempting! Thank you to Les Délices de Tétouan.

31/05/2026: I discovered this restaurant, which is unfortunately located on a quiet street. I'm a regular customer, and what I can say is that the food is excellent, very generous, and the service is welcoming… as a couscous and tagine enthusiast… I highly recommend this restaurant.

13/10/2025: October 2025 - We tried to go back, but we were informed that the owner had passed away and the restaurant was permanently closed. How sad... This restaurant was a gem! • • • • • We're glad to see that this restaurant is still open. Our visit in April 2019 (see photo) left us with very fond memories of the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic! A great place to escape to when the weather is cold! We will definitely return in September 2025, during our next planned trip to Carcassonne!

27/08/2025: Establishment CLOSED!!!😡(We traveled 80km) It would be wise to report this on your door and on Google... And they don't answer the phone. Doesn't deserve any stars... Avoid!!!

29/06/2026: I do not recommend them. I didn't receive what I ordered, plus it was hot during construction and took ages to get it back even though there were no other customers.

02/08/2026: We returned yesterday after a bad experience two years ago... same story... the waitress (no greeting) I asked if we could have a drink... the response... just a drink? No food? I replied, not for now, maybe later... then she seated us at the very back, we couldn't see anything... she asked us to move to a table next to each other, and after 15 minutes there was still no one to serve us, while she was seating those who came to eat. As a result, just like two years ago, we went to the restaurant across the street... where we were greeted with a smile, so we stayed to eat... it's a shame... you should know that we're from Carcassonne and we also come in the winter when it's less crowded... anyway, that's it, no good publicity will be given and I'll never set foot in there again... I'll spend my money elsewhere...

19/07/2026: The service was not good. Firstly it was very long, but I’ll blame it on the restaurant being full. But most importantly, we were two and the little entrance of the menu came at the same time as my main dish. When his main dish arrived, I had finished eating for a while. So we were pretty much looking at each other eat our lunch… didn’t make any sense. Anyway, the food was okay and the place is cute.

19/07/2026: The welcome was friendly, but honestly, the pizza wasn't really a pizza. Made from poor-quality, industrial dough, it was more like a wrap smothered in tomato sauce and "cheese" than a real Neapolitan pizza. If you want to enjoy a decent pizza, unfortunately, avoid this place... despite the friendly welcome.

18/04/2026: Ordered for the first time: one I don't know (merguez, chorizo, minced meat) and one Savoyarde. Really generous and very good. Friendly service.

01/08/2026: Fantastic restaurant inside the Cité de Carcassonne. Great food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. The authentic cassoulet was rich, hearty, and delicious, and the bone marrow was excellent too. Dancing and music starts at 10 pm. Highly recommended!

07/08/2026: A truly exceptional experience, this dinner in a verdant setting near the Canal du Midi, with remarkable quality of food: a superb duck breast cooked to perfection – kudos to the grill! – and a delicious rum baba. We were warmly welcomed and served with a level of service that is becoming increasingly rare these days. I highly recommend you discover this unique restaurant, as we did!

05/08/2026: A superb location, the food was very good, but we were a table of 14 on a Sunday at lunchtime. You have to ask for everything: water, bread, etc. Dessert plates are cleared even though we haven't finished. The bill arrives without us having asked for it: over €600. We ordered four coffees, and they immediately took the old bill and brought the one with the coffees. We paid and ordered after-dinner drinks (three rounds). The wait for the coffees and after-dinner drinks was insane while the staff did the math and tapped away on the tablet. Everything was fine except the service, which needs improvement. It's worth noting that there's a guinguette (open-air café) on Sunday afternoons. It was packed, so we weren't the last ones there. A shame...

19/08/2026: Ignore that google maps says temporarily closed, it's actually not. Amazing food, the lady serving was very friendly and accommodating, especially given the fact that we didn't speak a lick of French. The service was very attentive and quick, and the set menu was amazing value for money. 100% would come here again! Some quiet background music would have been nice.

18/08/2026: Great experience, Mihan is super welcoming, the €19 menu is generous and extremely good. My wife loved the spring rolls, the salad is very good and the beef is excellent.

19/04/2026: We ate at this establishment today; the welcome was friendly, the service efficient, and the meat delicious, well-cooked, and very tender. You can go there without hesitation.

18/04/2026: Appalling service, neglected welcome, completely disinterested staff who only care about finishing their shift. The food is school cafeteria quality, thanks METRO!! A tourist trap to avoid, unless you enjoy watching waiters sitting on chairs watching you finish your plate while they continue their conversation about the interminable service (at 9 pm on a Saturday night, mind you). You won't be seeing us again, and being from here, you can count on us to spread the word about your deplorable welcome and service.

19/08/2026: The atmosphere deserves better service. Unfortunately, no food was available despite it being advertised, the frappé was served in a paper cup, and the staff seemed reluctant to help. A disappointing experience overall, especially given the potential of the place.

01/07/2026: A pleasant experience at La Table de l'Olivier in the Mercure Carcassonne. I was a little disappointed not to have dined on the terrace. It's a hotel restaurant, but one might expect a bit more atmosphere. The chef's cuisine is simple yet delicious. If you're staying at the hotel, don't hesitate; otherwise, there are better options in Carcassonne.

04/06/2026: I absolutely loved my dinner here! The orange-honey glazed chicken breast was a highlight—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The melon and ham carpaccio was a great starter, too. I finished my meal with a molten chocolate lava cake that was simply divine. If you’re looking for a great meal in Carcassonne, I highly recommend this place. Truly satisfied! I had the best dinner in Carcassonne! The orange-honey glazed chicken breast was especially exquisite, perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. The melon and ham carpaccio appetizer was also wonderfully balanced. The molten chocolate lava cake for dessert was rich and a perfect finish. If you’re looking for a great meal in Carcassonne, I highly recommend this place!
