13/01/2026: They don't take reservations, so when we finished visiting the castle, we went back to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered the typical cassoulet, onion soup, and entrecote steak with potatoes, all for two people, and yes, it was a lot, but we didn't regret it at all because everything was delicious. That said, we didn't have room for dessert. We really liked the restaurant, the service was very friendly, and the food, as I said, was a 10/10, so I recommend it. We also didn't think it was too expensive for everything we ate. Oh! And the wine! What a delicious wine! We didn't order any particular one; we drank the house wine.

09/01/2026: Very happy we stopped in here for lunch. They had a fixed price menu for €19 that was fantastic. Very filling and home-style cooking.

25/02/2026: Gives off a very 1970’s zen type of vibe with it’s dark orange/black decor and furnishings. Very clean and quiet. Incredible view of the walls. The room faced a small garden. A stones throw walking distance to the Cité Médiévale gate.

19/02/2026: As a regular customer of the Montmorency and Octroi group for several years, I had to cancel my stay at the last minute due to a red alert issued in the department (and especially in Carcassonne) for rain, wind, and flooding. My room was charged under the "general terms and conditions of sale" clause, excluding cancellations made within the cancellation period. This completely disregarded the exceptional nature of the cancellation and my loyalty to their establishments. Despite the general terms and conditions of sale and the exceptional circumstances, loyalty is not rewarded, and I will remember this for my future bookings.

01/01/2026: A beautiful restaurant located right in the heart of the city. One of the few to offer vegetarian options. We had a magnificent platter with cosmos flowers and a vegetarian galette. Everything was delicious. The welcome was warm. And the setting is lovely, in a small courtyard with beautiful plants. Good value for money; I highly recommend this place.

24/01/2026: Everything was perfect! The waiter gave us a very warm welcome, with a relaxed yet pleasant demeanor. We ordered the evening menu (starter + main course + dessert) and it was as beautiful as it was delicious! All accompanied by a glass of wine and a cocktail. From the chef to the servers, everyone is clearly skilled and it shows. We highly recommend it!

10/03/2026: Very, very disappointing, from the food to the service. We had a reservation for about sixty people following a conference. We had a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts (planned months in advance). Once there, the tables were indeed reserved in a private room and scattered throughout the bistro. I didn't like the food. I ordered the warm goat cheese salad as a starter, and it was neither good nor bad. The goat cheese tart, which was actually a small tart, seemed frozen and reheated. The other dishes included poultry and salmon with pasta. There was a severe lack of vegetables. Finally, the caramel flan was quite good. As for the service, it was very quick, both when taking our order and when bringing the dishes to us. However, it was even too quick; I hadn't finished chewing before my seat was taken away, even though I hadn't finished eating... The walls could use a little freshening up. In short, it's okay for a large group like this, but I wouldn't recommend it.

06/03/2026: The food was good, the atmosphere was good, it's a shame the waiter took the parmesan out of his pocket... and put it on the plate when he was clearing the table...

16/01/2026: Excellent place!!! We found this bakery because it's very close to our accommodation, which was very convenient. It's well located and parking is easy in the area, which is a plus. We received excellent service from the very beginning, both friendly and professional. The products exude quality, both in appearance and flavor, and the overall experience was very satisfying. The prices are competitive for the type of product and the location. Without a doubt, it's a place I would return to without hesitation if I were ever in the area again.

10/01/2026: What a disgrace! I came to buy a pan bagnat and a panini. The pan bagnat was flat, with three tiny pieces of chicken barely hanging on. And the panini was dripping with olive oil. I don't recommend it.

13/10/2025: October 2025 - We tried to return, but were informed that the owner had passed away and the restaurant was permanently closed. How sad... This restaurant was a gem! • • • • • Glad to see this restaurant is still open. Our visit in April 2019 (see photo) left us with very pleasant memories of the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful! A place to retreat to when the weather is cold! We will definitely return in September 2025, during our next planned visit to Carcassonne!

27/08/2025: Establishment CLOSED!!!😡(We traveled 80km) It would be wise to report this on your door and on Google... And they don't answer the phone. Doesn't deserve any stars... Avoid!!!

15/02/2026: Arriving at 8pm, our reservation hadn't been taken (that's a great start). We were seated at a table and told the next customers would arrive at 9:30pm (they arrived at 9pm). The dish was served without sauce, no need to ask for it. The bread that was brought to our table was removed and given to other customers 🤦‍♂️ and we didn't even see it.

27/02/2026: I arrived somewhat last minute with a group of 26 people, and we were very well received. The service was quick. The team was understanding and dedicated.

09/01/2026: Wow, impressed! Our tacos were ready 3 minutes after we ordered. Super tasty and generously filled, crispy fries. Forget other taco places, this one is worth the trip!

01/12/2025: I came to Golden Tacos today, Monday, December 1st, around 8:10 PM. I was unpleasantly surprised to find my bill rejected even though it only had two tiny holes at the bottom. The young man told me he couldn't accept it, which really surprised me. I've had slightly damaged bills before that went through automatic machines without any problem. This one, in fact, was given to me by a machine at the Metropole, so it was perfectly valid and acceptable. I was very disappointed by his reaction, especially since he was ready to take back my order if I didn't pay, even though I'm a very loyal customer of Golden Tacos. He's an employee I'd never seen before, and I don't understand his behavior. Yet, I've always had very good experiences at this taco place. Too bad about this time.

15/02/2026: In the center of the Cite, it is a small terrace restaurant. Very good and cheap food. Correct prices and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.!!!

03/01/2026: The coffee tasted terrible. I told the waiter, who ignored my comment. Two lattes and two mint teas cost us €19, which seems very expensive (especially considering the amount of milk and the quality of the coffee).
